  1. I can’t believe I’m back in this thread but your answer to his question isn’t valid. By your response everyone should play standard length, lie, grip, etc on every club! They don’t, everyone “changes equipment” to play their best. It is why you get fitted!
  2. It has been a while since I built up my former set of PXG’s but the ferrules I used were a standard ferrule turned down to fit. I don’t believe they require a collared ferrule but it is possible. I didn’t use one though. The pxg hosel is .370 and requires a shim for .355 just like other oems that use that size hosel. Any .355 to .370 shim works. PXG uses a black plastic cap style shim instead of the golfworks style. They are readily available on eBay and IMO are far superior to the golfworks ones but that is a whole other can of worms. As for the ferrule creep, you can always grab some epoxy and reset them. I’m a firm believer that with steel shafts they are almost completely cosmetic.
  3. I understand where you are coming from but you dropped all those guys that included current #32 FedEx. They cleared waivers before anything was done and still had not picked up anybody to replace a single guy you dropped. I will level with ya without getting too far involved here. This is where my thought process was throughout this ordeal just to put it out there and you know where I’m coming from. When you dropped all those guys I was 60% thinking you quit. Then when they cleared waivers and you still hadn’t picked up anybody I was 100% sure. Now with that said I never seen your post about not knowing there wasn’t an event and wanting to field a full team. Still unsure where it was posted as I only seen a reply to it. While that changes things slightly, there is no way to undue what has been done. We can only live and learn from it.
  4. To an extent. When you dropped all those guys before it looked like you were giving up which I’m guessing is why your roster was locked. This may come off wrong but IMO you are out of the playoffs therefore anybody on your team and inside the top 80 of the FedEx standings is undroppable. As far as I concerned anybody rated there or higher should be undroppable not just for you but any team 11 games back or more. There is a difference between dropping someone to try to make the playoffs and just fielding a team. I know that a team out of the playoffs that fields a team can potentially knock someone out of the playoffs this week but it shouldn’t be done by dropping those higher ranked players. Again this is just my opinion and by no means law! Lol
  5. To be fair though, when you make almost 50 trades in a year a couple have to work out for ya.
  6. No but to really blow your mind, I got Xander in the same deal and he won the gold medal shortly after!
  7. Glad I traded for Ancer at the deadline! His first win on tour gets me a week off to reminisce about my regular season of WINNING! Hahahahaha Good luck to everyone next week trying to make the playoffs. I will be rooting for Zalatoris to win.

  10. Happy birthday fellas!
  11. Yep I knew better. I’m out of this. Just another I’m right your wrong type thread that keeps popping up more and more. One last note though. Your example of Pros and their wedges being softer is weak(see what I did there!). 90% of the time(probably higher) this is done for spin. I have been in this game and on many different golf forums for many years, this is the first time I have heard or read that a longer club should be stiffer. It can be but should be is the wrong wording. IMO To anyone reading this in the future, if you go to a fitter and they say “this”(meaning anything from flex to length and everything else) SHOULD be this way and don’t try/fit anything else, FIND A NEW FITTER! They can have thoughts on what worked in the past but if they aren’t willing to try other things they aren’t there to help you. Peace out, I gotta Voice Caddie review to do.
  12. Your thinking about this differently than I do but maybe I can share my thoughts to help out. As the club gets longer the club head itself gets lighter. Which can lead to the need for a weaker or softer flex. Then next step is to realize that a fairway shaft and driver shaft tend to be different weights as well as tipped for the heavier head. Example: A guy plays Hzrdus Black 60 6.5 at 45” in his driver. He also plays a Hzrdus Black 70 6.0 tipped 1”(for a fairway wood) at 43”. Odds are that even though the stated flex is stiffer in the driver it very well could be softer since the fairway shaft is heavier, shorter, and tipped appropriately. A fitting should be completely independent for driver, fairway, hybrid, and irons. Never fit for one and assume that going stiffer, heavier, softer, lighter, shorter, or longer in a different type of club will work. All that to say if you don’t want to give him advice then don’t. I however see it as a guy that wants to enjoy himself. He doesn’t listen to your advice just as you didn’t answer or listen to @puttnfool when he asked about the 4-iron to the 9-iron. Same thing in my opinion. Good luck!
  13. I believe there is a company based in Iowa that uses a tube instead of a boxed sleeve. Sniper is the name. Been thinking of picking some up since they are local.
  14. There was no waivers until this morning I believe. I’m guessing it had to do with no event last week but not sure.
  15. I’m certainly hoping Zalatoris can carve out a win this week or next for my Fantasy team. If not him maybe a new winner on the year like Victor Perez or Lee Westwood.
  16. I believe it will be 9 or 10 this year
  17. Aren’t almost all balls under that price?
  18. If we are talking a 1 off swing then it was 12 years ago at a charity long drive contest. It was very dry and I hit a low screaming bullet with a TM R11S with stock Aldila Rip Alpha shaft. Had to have ran for 150 yards as it ended up inside 100 on a 470 yard par 4.
  19. You know I’m in. As the reigning champ of the Circus league, I can’t wait to do that again! Punters and Crappy QBs are so much fun to root for! Lol
