  1. Very curious what everyone thinks about the grip too. I would LOVE one of them.
  2. A very unique video that is different from his other stuff and one I really enjoyed (even though I am only a few minutes in watching it!) These are really cool to see the behind the scenes type videos and would love to see more content like this.
  3. Sorry @Blueberry_Squishie looks like I got a round booked for Friday. Wanted to play today but was too wet and frankly I have played enough in the rain this year.
  4. I have a few rounds left this season and have really enjoyed getting a chance to play more this year. The game is coming back into shape, but I truly want to make some sustainable improvements over the winter. Thankfully I have access to a range nearly all winter and have completed my backyard setup so I can hit all the practice balls I want albeit limited flight. Here is where I stand now from how I feel about my game. Driving - I am content with my distance. The courses I have played so far and when I have played its been wet so I got very little to no roll and have never found myself too far out of position in terms of distance. Accuracy however still leaves a lot to be desired, however the last few rounds have been significantly better including not loosing a ball at all in 2 of those 3 which is just such a great feeling. I would no longer say it is a huge area of weakness, but still somewhere in which I want to improve. Irons: I think overall I am pretty average. I hit some great shots and some less than stellar, as would anyone with a handicap around mine. I feel a lot more comfortable with my irons the last 4 rounds and feel they are becoming a strength, more so with distance control vs accuracy. I feel I give up a lot on par 3s and need to play them simpler by just getting onto a safe spot on the green and going from there. Chipping: Outside of blading some stupid chips from a lack of focus I am very happy with this part of my game. Not to say I get up and down a lot, but I have creativity and see the shots I want to make and use a variety of clubs to make those shots. I of course have good and bad days and want to work on consistency, but overall this is what I would consider a strength. Putting: This is my life saver, hands down no question. I will still work on it, but a adjustment in hand positioning made a world of a difference and I have really only had one bad round putting this year. Now the Arccos numbers and how they see it. Overall Driving Approach Chipping Putting This is all data from my last 9 rounds here in Switzerland and I have taken out any rounds prior to that. As I went through time in life where I played very little and doesn't reflect my actual game. Now here is a few videos of how the swing looks in its current form with irons And here I have just been going through looking at the swings and something I had been working on was shortening the length of my back swing. It got very long and caused some timing issues. It is funny as the the swing feels still very short, but clearly in the video it is not. I have also worked at slowing the back swing a bit as it would often get rushed and again it feels slower than slow, but clearly isn't again. When these two things came together I would get bad bad hooks or just massive draws. Since working on these changes I have been able to play a straight shot and even a fade! I can still of course draw the ball when called for, but I feel as though I have a lot more control with my ball flights. I would love some more input on the swing as I am no swing coach and see a few things that in my mind I could work on, but before I say what they are I will open it up to input. And because I am a mod, any I am standing on the wrong side of the ball or my clubs are backwards nonsense will not be tolerated joking of course. I feel I have the tools to get back to where my game was a few years ago and outside of a fun driver showdown there won't be much changing in my bag. Both my WITB and iron review are linked in my signature. Over the next 2 weeks I want to set out some goals for myself in this offseason and where I really want to see my improvements. I intend to do iron and putting practice at home. Chipping, driving and more irons at the local course with top tracer and their facilities. Thanks all for reading this long and looking forward to your feedback!
  5. Able to post a video? Of course it could be a problem and may cause you to get steeper and more over the top with your swing, however I am no pro. That is just my brief thinking of how if I stood too close what would happen. I also think balance plays a part. For me if I am too close or far I find the weight in my feet go too heel and toe side and cause strike inconsistencies.
  6. Very well could depend on the head and soul type. 2* is the norm either way. I would be hesitant to go to 3*, however maybe if it is a V sole from saz Srixon, Sub70 or others that give some relief both on the back and front it could make it slightly more viable. In the end the loft is just a number and does it really matter? If the flight is good and he gapping with your clubs is what you are looking for than what does it matter if one is 28 or even 34 degrees.
  7. I think we should hop into the YouTube comments and see what we want to see. Wish Nike was still in business for clubs and we could see some of the square vs newer. What was the best driver with the great big Bertha name?
  8. The prices of nearly all Golf kit is scary. However 459 here in Switzerland is about par sadly.
  9. No love for these? I personally would like to see a comparison between the UW from Callaway and this Hybrid to see where they sit. I feel as though they would be awfully close in what they accomplish.
  10. Adidas I recall have a few options for wider toe boxes and Ecco as well. They were also just a wider shoe in general. Stay away from Nike traditionally is narrow. Puma with their softer top sporty style was pretty wide as well. Some of it may depend on the style of show more vs the brand itself.
  11. Putting is certainly my strong point in my game so I would say in the 8-9 range. My miss would be a little bit of a pull if anything and I know that I setup slightly closed. However I am right eye, right hand dominant and play left handed so there is all sorts of weird stuff going on. That being said compared to a 8 hdcp arccos says I gain on average 2 strokes a round putting so I must be doing something right! I will say the fang style putters help as well and suit my eyes. Not that I can't or havent used others successfully, but it is certainly my preferred shape.
  12. Also really wish we had seen MGS Blog do this driver vs the Rogue... maybe a quick redo is in order.
  13. I feel like these are just a teaser to get our appetites for the big show that is to come down the pipeline later on ...
  14. That's from February. Why else would Callaway have a mini driver left hand. A lot has happened between February and now and Phil has come out and made public statements since then about what he said and much more.
  15. Callaway still clearly supports Phil https://golf.com/gear/phil-mickelson-callaway-2-tour-mini-driver-usga/?amp=1
  16. I have been a crossover fan and user for sometime now. I rarely see them in others bags or reviewed and hope that this may change with this series. I may even take the dip and replace my g410 crossover with this one as I really like the black finish.
  17. That's not even to mention guys like Burns who won 3 or 4 times last year, Spieth, Cantlay, Zander, Finau, Homa... And on and on. Even guys like Theegala, Young and Riley I would argue are better than anyone on LIV outside of say Cam or DJ, I guess Bryson. However it's kinda silly to argue this as it's been well documented the guys who left outside of DJ, Cam and Niemann with higher profile names struggled with either being end of their more competitive careers or had been battling injuries which lead to a greater incentive to jump over and take the big payout. Don't even care those guys left. I think the PGA tour is better off now and stronger for it with a more united deeper field on younger up and coming talent.
  18. As it is essentially end of season for many we may have one more come November. However not really sure and we are focused on other areas for the time being. We won't really know much more till next March or April. I don't personally believe we should expect much from the larger oems, where rather the focus would be on smaller oems in member testing, but that is simply my thoughts.
  19. We have several handicaps 8 and lower and several in the high swing speed category (101-110). If you have questions about how we select our testers it is all covered in our how to become a tester thread. While there were some that may have better suited the low low hdcp and higher swing speed we require members who are active and going to participate in the forum discussion. Location was also a factor. We have a couple if new testers as well, but they have been active and participated in the forum as is expected for any and all testers selected. Sorry that you feel you won't find any use in this test.
  20. Sub70 just put out this video for those with some questions about the differences with the irons. https://www.instagram.com/p/CkByGeHMQtZ/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  21. With all the elevated events the whole field still has a chance at winning. The goal was simply to get the so called top players all playing at the same time. This is good for everyone. Players better hone their craft against the best. Easier to market. Better for fans and better for the lesser tier as they still have opportunities to make big splashes save big dollars at these elevated events.
  22. Some wedges are just like that. The difference in feel between my glide 2.0 stealth and standard are night and day. I wonder in general what the best feeling wedge may be?
  23. I dunno. Maybe a 64 just got kicks. I just know that upper spot is so rarely used it is kinda a waste.
