They just came out a few days ago so doubtful anyone has them yet. They are meant to give a bit higher launch and spin and not be a direct replacement for the zero which is no more, but a new line that covers different needs.

100% with you there. It was feeling a lot like summer and the last week has been ... not fun. Hoping for a little turn in the weather and back to what I would consider more normal temps.

1st time installing new shafts
GolfSpy_APH replied to Rickshaw's topic in Club Making/Repair & DIY Projects
Probably only 1/3 of a flex different so maybe play more like a 5.7 (if they actually made one) The weight is the bigger difference. The IO 5.5 is some 5 or 6 grams lighter I recall than the 6.0. When buying used or online double and triple check the lengths as I have found this to be some of the trickiest parts of buying shafts used. -

Maybe the OP is meaning that's what someone at a shop said? Just trying to give the benefit of a doubt. I think the most I have seen a company claim is 5 or so yards longer. Even that is a bit of a stretch and usually data that is cherry picked from a certain spot or certain specific situation.

https://mygolfspy.com/news-opinion/first-look/taylormade-vintage-copper-collection/ Need to block these from my mind else my wallet is about to get a lot lighter ... Just imagine this with the mini driver.... No don't. Bad Jamie. Stop!

Dynamic Gold S300 Differences
GolfSpy_APH replied to biggerwoody6's topic in Golf Balls/Shafts/Grips
They are all a little different. Any chance you can get into a shop and try the Mizuno Swing Optimizer? It will help narrow your most likely best fit shafts in 3 swings. Plus it is really cool. Basic differences is the 105 S300 is a lighter than the standard S300 (pretty sure it is in the 110 or so gram category, but would have to check again). The 120 R300 is a regular flex which may be okay, but may have too much kick for you. The 120 S300 is 120 grams. It is basically all about weight between those. Even if they have slightly different profiles. Best bet is to try a few at a shop, demo day or something like that and see what you seem to like or get along best with. -
Sorry but gotta push back here. When was the last time a club claimed to be 30 yards longer as for a driver? That just isn't true.

RUNNER Golf Putters! 2024 Forum Review
GolfSpy_APH replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in Forum Testing Reviews
I do wonder why this seems to be a winning formula. The shaping is nice and the feel is good. Is it their customization options? Does it have to do with the coloring and helping with alignment? The face is also interesting and wondering what sort of effect that has. Overall really impressed and keen to get on a LM to see some more of the data- -
Chasing the light, trying to fit in as many hole as you can or enjoying the nice sunset as you play. Do you often play them or do you avoid them? The rates can be cheaper, but the course has been often well used for the day and there are some drawbacks, but at the same time they can be some of the most peaceful rounds out there!

I would guess that is a rarity. I've bought my fair share and never had any of those issues. Even found good sets with like new grips. Proper places will have better quality and there are other used places that carry higher risks.

I think this is where we have seen companies like Robin Golf, Stix, BGD and all the other main DTC brands come into play. Solid if not great products at lower prices. For you those clubs work great for you and as you basically say you can afford it, but that's the top top tier. Like buying cars you can go premium and pay that or go look at more basic affordable options that will still get you from A to B. Also the prices are that high because many such as yourself are willing to pay that price. If ppl will pay it why wouldn't they have them at that price?

RUNNER Golf Putters! 2024 Forum Review

How have you found the lag putting to be so far for you testers? -
That and midsize options if you hands are big enough. Hard to go wrong with the SuperStroke grips though.

Too much suspense? I have been really impressed with the Runner putter. There is a forum member review on them going on right now, but without question worth a look. Similar feel, just a different balance and something that through 3 full rounds has been really impressive.

What Have You Built Recently?
GolfSpy_APH replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in Club Making/Repair & DIY Projects
The 659 TC are getting new shafts and a new look! Just pulled all the heads yesterday. Going to do some sort of clean up and then give into it! Should be fun and have been meaning to do this project for weeks and weeks! -
Didn't practice much outside of speed training. Was a slightly slower session than my previous but still solid and then I ended up taking apart some golf clubs as I have some work to do to rebuilt a few sets.

Who's YouTube Channel Would You Want To Be A Guest On?
GolfSpy_APH replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in The 19th Hole
I saw Taco Golf and thought this was a smart one. Altho I prefer Tombs as a golfer and personailty, any of the NZ crew would be high on my list just given the courses and places they go and play. Man I miss it down there. -
Just waiting for my set of Lamkin grips to fade even the slightest bit and have a full new set of green grips to put on. I thought at first the texture wouldn't quite be to my liking, but my goodness I have come to like these grips.

Been meaning to go further into these final reviews and have it on agenda to do today. Curious who is going to make this their full time driver or not! -
Can't believe I haven't commented in this thread. Definitely in the Ya camp, but will say that at least for the moment have found a putter to unseat my Mezz Max

4am but a good start to the day. Had some pancakes and coffee now off to work for what will be a very long, but I hope fun day.
