Got out to the putting green for the 3rd time in 4 days. Working on my initial impression for the sentio review.

At the time, I hadn't quite put my finger on it but many of you have quite eloquently framed the reason I finally pulled the trigger and created a profile. Put simply, the people here are nice, maybe the nicest group of this size on the net. Golf has played a very special role in my life and I have spent a great deal of time in deep thought on the subject (in all areas). I know the tone of my typical post tends toward Brookings Institution reports, but I ultimately just hope to add some thoughtful perspective to the threads in which I participate. Over the past 2 months (joined 1/26/17) the MGS forum has become ubiquitous as oxygen in my life. So to everyone, I would like to say, Thank You for being yourself!

I also figured out quickly that this was the only site without all of the huge egos. Feels like home here, and that's pretty rare on the internet anymore.

So I did a little experiment tonight with a couple putters. I needed to take one off and put a new one on. So I have this old bike tire pump mad by Schwinn, it's the kind that plugs into the 12v receiver in your car, I needed to take the grip off which had 2 sided tape, I was able to squirt some solvent in the end then turned on the pump, it took a few second but the air blew through and grip loosened up and cam right off no problems. So I put one wrap of masking tape, then put a little solvent on my finger tip and just kind of wiped the opening of the grip to help get it started on the shaft. Then just turned on the pump and the grip slipped right on. I don' t think you need more than 20-30 psi to do this. I will be going to Walmart or harbor freight to buy one that plugs into the wall, but you dont need a huge pump to do this. This is going to make changing grips soooo much easier. Even with this tiny pump it took 10 seconds to put the grip on. I wish I would have realized it was his easy earlier. So much less mess, and so much more simple.

Don't get me wrong, there are grips that can't be blown off, and I've popped more than my share but with the pvc sheath and 75 psi it's pretty mindless to blow putter grips worth saving off. Once enough air is in the Grip it just fires back against you and if you let it, it'll slide right off the shaft

Run it at 75-80psi with a pvc pipe just larger than the grip acting like a housing around the grip - this will allow you to confidently blow grips off without worrying about popping them. I have an 8 gal Kobalt compressor from lowes. Great for blasting, airbrushing, grip work, air hammering.

Also teaching Amazon Echo Alexa some new swear words when I skull the chip over the net into a wall. I then tell Alexa to order new sheet-rock.

I forgot to mention, the great looking Sentio flatstick that was at my porch friday morning. Santa may have dropped it off, by the time I got to the door, whoever knocked was gone.

    No complaints there!

I also finished this little gift to myself last night, which will be on the course tomorrow:
