Ok we've all seen the phone books the pros keep in thier back pocket, but I'm curious how many Spies keep thier own? When do you use it? Casual play or tournaments? How detailed is it? Is it fully drawn out holes and greens, or more just a cheat sheet? I am changing my mental game this year and taking a different plan to tourney prep. Most tournaments you can't use your phone, so I need something written. @Frogginbullfish just answered a big part of this for me. Stroke and distance for OB is #1. And it's not about handicap, I carry a 3, so I'm not the one losing strokes to this. Maybe education will solve some of this but golf brings all types. I do carry a handicap, so I follow the rules. Just wish the powers would wise up that 90% of us don't play on pristine courses of the tours, nor do we have hundreds of people looking for our ball when we hit. There needs to be some different rules for casual and non-competitive play. We all don't get to play on pristine country clubs. I've had tour velvet and now crossline. Both are solid and affordable grips. I did love the MCC+4 when I had one on my driver. Maybe try one of those on a driver or wedge before the whole set. Tied: Switching to a low bounce wedge. I was told I needed high, so that's what I bought. I think Cleveland CG12. Nothing sat ever. Next year got Vokeys and never looked back. Getting fit for a driver. Such an improvement and an all around awesome experience. I am in the Cleveland/Akron Ohio region. There are 10 events in that region which I will play. But I can enter into any tour event across the nation. The tour administrator already sent a message asking if anyone from Cleveland wanted to play the season opener event in Columbus. So I could drive down to Columbus, Cincy, Pittsburgh and play any of those events as long as I pay the entry fee. I'll be entered into a flight by handicap and gross stroke play from there. It looks like at the end of the year there is an Ohio vs. Kentucky match and then regional and national championships. Maybe I could do a tourney tracker blog...
