  1. First 18 of the season today, but it's not golf yet. Too many lost balls to plugging. I had one bird, a chip in, and nothing worse than bogey. That's a solid start for a 5 month layoff Sent from my SM-G935P using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  2. I got a driver fitting at Windmill in Macedonia. Great experience. Sent from my SM-G935P using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  3. I've noticed the last year or two the ProV1 doesn't seem to work as well for me on full shots. It is still without competition around the green though. Now I'm favoring the Q-Star Tour and Bridgestone Tour B XS. Sent from my SM-G935P using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  4. Glove in back pocket, sometimes scorecard. Right pocket has extra ball, divot tool, ball marks, and a handful of tees. Sent from my SM-G935P using MyGolfSpy mobile app

  6. I started with blades, played them for about a decade, then I picked up my friend's cavity back irons. Both of us had S300 shafts and I hit his at least 15 yards further. Later that winter I racked the blades and bought more forgiving clubs- R7 TPs. Last year I went back to blades and up to an X100 shafts in the Titleist 714 CBs. These are another club less than the cavity backs. I don't need distance, I need control and work ability. The bigger, more forgiving heads are designed to keep everything straight. I need to work more to get the shot shapes but it's a beauty when its all working. Sent from my SM-G935P using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  7. My home course is opening for the year on Wednesday. Low 50s then 65 on Thursday. Can't wait, it's been forever. Sent from my SM-G935P using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  8. Agree, just cause there's a ton of sand doesn't make them great. Give me Ross and Tillinghast any day. Sent from my SM-G935P using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  9. Heard that from lots of people. Maybe this is the year to make that my splurge round. Where else do you play? Sent from my SM-G935P using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  10. There's 2 questions I really wish had an "all of the above" option. Thanks for putting this together Barbajo. Courses going to a 7 minute window from 10 years ago just to cram bodies out there doesn't help anything either. Courses need to police things better, we're paying them to do a job too. Maybe the USGA needs to do more to encourage official handicapping and that could be a fix to this, in part. Sent from my SM-G935P using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  11. Somehow ive missed that one... heard from everybody it's a gem. Sent from my SM-G935P using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  12. I love Windmill. Never played Sable, but I go to Seven Hills every other year or so. Sent from my SM-G935P using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  13. Hi everyone! - I've been golfing since I was 12 or so, so that makes 20+ years. I currently have a 3.9 hcp and working on going lower. - It used to be something I did with my dad. I have other family that golfs and that is fun. I never really had that golf buddy, someone that held the same skill and passion for the game. So for now I play early mornings for the solace and competition against myself. - For MSG, I just caught the ad on Facebook one day and signed up. I don't know any other spies :( - I live in Cleveland, Ohio's west suburbs. My home course is Cossett Creek, but i'll play anywhere within an hour or so. - We are actually spoiled with over 100 public courses within an hour of me. The worst thing is the rain more than snow. Last year's golf season was cut short by 2 months. - I work for a law firm, not a lawyer though. I do technical support and legal/conflicts research - Super original user with name and a number. 15. Black Diamond in central Ohio. Built over and around Appalachian foothills it has little room for error. Sent from my SM-G935P using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  16. I was struggling previously, posting rounds in the mid 80s, then my pro saw me hit one shot. He told me I've got too much forward press. Since they one comment I went 78-76-78. Talk to your pro, they'll find the faults before you do. Sent from my SM-G935P using MyGolfSpy mobile app

  20. I loved the HX56s, but I have not been impressed with anything Callaway had put out since with respect to the other premium balls. Though on a cool day the superhot or whatever they call it seems to perform decently. Sent from my SM-G935P using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  21. Most of these on the list I agree with - Top Flite XLs, Warbird, Slazenger, and the Kmart balls (Nitro, Intech). No one has mentioned the Nike Mojo yet, so I'll add that one. Though I have a soft spot for the classic red Pinnacle. 22. Crazy deal off ebay! A set of 714 CBs for $130. 4-PW and X100 shafts. Going back towards a players iron now that my game is trending in the right direction. Some face wear but still quite an upgrade. 23. I don't want to post the pics (don't know the language rule) but I just got my custom ball markers that resemble Jules Winfield's wallet from Pulp Fiction.
