I took a couple of pics of my golf course today (Jennings Mill CC).  We had a qualifier tournament at the beginning of the week for the US Amateur.

I've putted very well with a mallet style putter for very 7 or 8 years now, first a Spyder, then a SC X7M for the past 4 years.    And a Tyne 4 this year. 
But I have always had an itch to try a blade style again.   So I found out over the weekend.  The used putter section of 2nd Swing is a dangerous place to be with a good chunk of store credit on file 😳
Couldn't put this baby down after making like 8 of 12 from over 6 feet with it.  Then got in their fitting studio and the fitter adjusted the lie a bit flatter. 
Then I rolled in another 6 of 7 before heading to the cashier.  Put it right to the fire in a Pro Am yesterday and shot 85 on my own ball.  
Oh and it's not really that uoright.  I had if leaning on a putting green flag Stick for some quick pictures. 
 

One of these wedges is not like the other...

So a few spies know that yesterday was my last day at my previous employer and I'm starting a new job on Monday. As a parting gift, my awesome co-workers gave me a very generous gift card to Van's.

Additionally, I'm about to join some select spies in the testing of a set of Lynx irons that are due to arrive mid week next week. My current set through GW is all DBM black finish. I've opted to go back to classic chrome with the Lynx set. That said, I felt it appropriate to find a GW (50°) that would fit in with the rest of my Bridgestone wedges and the Lynx VT's. I found this stunning Honma TW 50° at Van's that doesn't totally look out of place. At address it looks nearly identical in shape and top line to my Bridgestones. It's got a lightly brushed chrome finish similar to the Lynx VT's. IF I ever decide to change wedges completely, I'm going to heavily consider this lineup. From what I felt off the matt this thing was just buttery forged goodness!

I also got a hat.

the more I practice, the luckier I seem to get..

Nothing yet, but I suddenly find myself in the possession of a a $399 gift card to 2nd Swing....let the fun begin!! 😜

We've been fostering this little fella for a week now.  He sure has become a Daddy's boy and follows me around like my shadow. That's the hard part about fostering because you can easily become bonded with them.
