Seems like c-taper 130x is the most similar. I’ll definitely have to try them out. How do the kbs tour v shafts compare?

I honestly think the best thing would be go hit different shafts and see what you like best.
I agree completely. I love the performance of the project x shafts just wish I could find something that felt a little better

After playing Project X 6.0 iron shafts for 15 years I switched to Nippon Modus3 Tour 120 - S shafts for the past two years and really like the change. The Modus3 130 - x shafts would be closer to the 6.5.
Did you see any differences in ball flight with the modus shafts compared to the project x?
-
Title says it all. I want to know if any of you golfers have played the project x 6.5 shafts and what other shafts on the market would be closest to them in terms of performance. (Launch, spin, etc.) I currently play these shafts and love the performance. I have gotten used to the feel of these but find myself desiring a different feel.

Project x 6.5 so are going to be feel very stout compared to the s300s you've been gaming
I can agree with this because I went from non fitted irons with s300 to fitted mizunos with the 6.5s. Definitely a completely different feel but I’ve gotten used to them and the performance is so much better with the 6.5 shafts for me.

First of all thank you for giving us the opportunity to ask questions. I have a driver swing speed around 115 and an aggressive transition. I also spin the ball more than I would like. What shaft from your current lineup would you suggest for me? Weight flex etc....
-
I wanted to see the mizuno and g410 in the final but oh well. I agree with what you guys are saying about the drivers not being maxed out across the face and some are better than others when it comes to that. If I was bombing it 320+ every time I would go with the driver that gave me the most consistency and accuracy not the most distance.

Got a sleeve of Oncore Elixr coming to me. Am hoping to test it against the couple sleeves of V1X I got at the Golf Show. Want to make a decision on ball by mid/end April to take advantage of the B3G1 V1X if it's that ball or the 6 dozen for $120 for the Elxir right now
I’m going to do this as well with a few different balls this year. One of my goals this season (if I ever get to play) is to find the right ball for me and stick to it.

You don't need 1.
You need 2
Definitely! But which color?

I cannot stop looking at the new Mizuno M craft putters. I don’t necessarily NEED one but I really really want one.

Nippon NS Pro 950. Both Cobra and Mizuno offer it at no charge. I was shocked at how many shafts Cobra offers.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkThat’s good that they both offer your shaft. I haven’t played a hollow body style iron but from what I’ve read/heard about them they will be similar forgiveness to your traditional cavity backs. They are basically a cavity back iron but with the cavity on the inside of the head. If you are seeing similar performance from both heads I would then lean on looks and feel to make the final decision.

What shafts ended up giving you the best results? Not sure about cobra but mizuno offers a good selection of shafts at no upcharge.

RH, left-dominant. A little bit of offset seems to help me "see lines" but I don't think that is a product of hosel types? I've seen a lot of different hosels/shafts (single-bend, double, plumber's, slant) that all have 3/4 to a full shaft of offset. I think the hosel affects the face balance more than offset?
Yes you’re right I typed it up wrong. It’s actually the putters offset in relation to eye dominance. One article says more offset for same hand eye dominance and one article said less offset so I’m confused
-
I came across a few articles online talking about which offset styles were typically better for certain players in regards to their eye dominance. The only problem is each one of the articles are different from each other. What are your opinions on this? I myself am right hand/right eye dominant and I’m wondering if a certain amount of offset will help my putting.

Thinking of getting fit for a new driver and 3 wood. The ts lines from titleist look good, but so do the Taylormade, callaway, mizuno, Ping, cobra..... guess I’ll just have to try them all.

Anyone playing these in their driver or fairway woods? Are these shafts similar to any others?

Sounds awesome.... I cannot find a combo set anywhere. I either have to buy 2 full sets and drop some clubs or buy 1 full set and then buy the others individually. Ugh.
I’ve ran into the same problem in the past. I like the irons so much I wanted at least one backup set.
