  1. As you can see by my signature I've been a Titleist loyalist. I believe they are the most iconic brand in golf and I love their undeniable quality. But since being a member of MGS my eyes are more open to all brands and ideas. I recently changed balls from Titleist Pro V1x to Bridgestone Tour B RXS ! I'm open to trying other brands in my bag and mixing things up to improve my game. As far as apparel I wear a lot of different brands.
  2. Played Timber Creek Golf Club just south of Houston Thursday. Fourth round with my swing change 41, 45 total 86. Driving and approach have improved quickly with this change. My wedges and chipping are a mess. I've a lot of work to do on my short game. Five opportunities for birdie and missed them all but I feel pretty good about my game.
  3. Without a doubt my Scotty has been in my much longer than any other club ! Scotty Cameron California Monterey 35" putter, The Art of Putting Head Cover, Scotty Cameron Golf Matador Putter Grip Mid-size.
  4. Hey guys just wanted to update you on where I’m at with the Bridgetown testing. I have been using the Tour B RXS for the last four months as well as intermittently playing with the pro V1 and comparing the two. I was getting short on both balls and it came time to make a decision. With the three for one deal here this spring this is what I decided to go with! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  5. Played Eagle Pointe again today. Drove the ball well and only lost 2 balls today, but shot the same score today as I did last week. But I know I hit the ball better today just didn't get any puts to drop. Should have had 2 birdies on front and one on back. Back nine score was a little alcohol soaked ! But it was ninety degrees and Coronas were going down nicely.
  6. I've never tried the speed sticks, I'll watching this teams results...great group!
  7. So many great courses in Florida ! Have fun at Falcons Fire...looks great !
  8. A few pics from Eagle Pointe Golf Club Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  9. Played last Thursday at Eagle Pointe Golf Club. A course to the north east of Houston in the small town of Mont Belvieu just north of interstate 10. It is a real hidden gem in the area that is a public course that looks and feels like a private club. Elevation changes, tree lined fairways and just enough water to keep you on your toes. The course is always in great shape, the superintendent is great! Poor driving and missing every birdie chance plagued my round. Third round of my swing change...I think my old swing was trying to creep back in on my drives Lost 4 balls, ouch! But really enjoyed the day weather was beautiful and very thankful to be playing the game I love!
  10. I really liked the dozen Wilson Professional balls I won last year with the D7 driver in the SpyStaff Masters challenge. According to my Arccos stats the Wilson ball performed similar to the Pro V1 I was playing at the time. I have since played Pro V1x balls because of performance in MGS 2019 Ball Testing results. And I tested the Bridgestone Tour B RXS recently. I'll be watching your testing results Wedgie
  11. Played last Thursday at a course I don’t play very often the wildcat Lakes course and downtown Houston it’s a beautiful setting . As the name suggests a tremendous amount of water as the course name describes so it was a challenging. playing my new swing for only the second time with very little practice and just rehearsing the swelling in my backyard that’s about all I’ve had since my last round and played pretty well shot a 43 on the front end of 46 on the back I was pleased with that my driving is really improved with the swing charge I made two weeks ago. I’m finding the fairway more often and adding 20-30 yards per drive. Unbelievable [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy You can see in the background NRG Stadium and The Astrodome, Medical Center and Downtown Houston! This Thursday I booked my group a round at another unusual course for the area Eagle Pointe in Mount Belvieu,Tx to the east of Houston.
  12. I usually do the driving range and practice areas by myself or with my daughter. When playing a round I usually play with a group of friends and/or family. I play a weekly foursome group ( sometime five-some) usually the same guys.
  13. There is a Texas Golf Hall of Fame because there have been so many great golfers from this state. One of the greatest female athletes of all time Babe Didrikson is a golfer from Texas.
  14. You're gonna like it and a very good price for one of the best drivers I've ever played.
  15. The question: Are golf courses included in the mandatory closures? The answer: Golf courses in Harris County are allowed to stay open, but driving ranges must close, according to the county’s website.
  16. Played my home course yesterday, beautiful weather and I attacked the course with a swing change that I could not practice before the round Sounds kind of stupid right???? Let me explain...I've been following Danny Maude for about a year and he makes a lot of sense and has helped me immensely cut down on loosing the ball to the right. I was watching one of Danny's lesson on Youtube and saw this guy in the up next file and so I decide to watch this guys lesson ( he's a PGA Pro instructor ). I thought he was a complete idiot at first and then I was trying to figure out if he was a comedian. So I watched a few more of his lessons and tips...and I started to buy into his craziness. Went out in the backyard last Sunday and tried swinging the club as he instructs hitting wiffle golf balls. The swing felt odd like any swing change will but the next time I try this new swing is yesterday on the first tee! I hit a low draw right down the middle of the fairway 276 yards measured by Arccos ( rarely hit a draw ) second shot arccos told me to hit 9 iron and I air mailed it 15 feet right over the top of the flag! Well that told me I was going to club down on my yardages if this continues. And it did! Eagled the par 5 4th hole with two spectacular shots Driver, 3 wood within 12 feet of the hole. Ended up shooting an 84 which is not great but a good round for me. I think I might be on to something that is going to make me a much better golfer and I want to give this guy the credit. Tom Saguto out of Pawleys Island, SC Saguto golf check out his videos on YouTube entertaining even if you don't need help with your swing.
