  1. The CS and CSX are two of the most under rated balls ive ever played......the CS may not be for me but i played it for a full summer and the ball went straight as an arrow, i shot multiple rounds in the mid 70's and its a very solid ball.

The CSX is a high quality high performing ball all over the course. It sits @ # 3 for me behind the Left Dot and regular prov1. 2019 TP5 was also very very good. Just like a V1 for me

left dot still the best ball ive ever played

  2. Has anyone compared the two balls on course or in a booth or on a monitor?

The reason i ask is this; Titleist has claimed the new Prov1 has "incorporated technology from the left dot" into the new Prov1 which has led to some pros switching to the new prov1 away from the left dot.

I played both this weekend and to me, the balls are very different for my game.

    Similarities - the prov1 name

Differences - Paint color, dimple pattern (including depth and # of dimples), feel, launch and trajectory (visual), distance, short game feel and performance.

I am trying to understand why the left dot is not added to the lineup given the differences in performance. It fits perfectly in the lineup between the V1 and the V1x.

Regardless of the TECHNOLOGY put into the V1, my on course analysis is these balls play very differently from each other.  I love the left dot and previous to playing this i was a V1 user for years.....

really hoping the Left Dot has another release and eventually comes to retail.

I currently play a combo set of T100s (7-PW) and T200 4, 5 and 6 irons. I regret getting the combo set, I can hit the 4, 5 and 6 good, but they don't interact with the turf as good as the T100s irons. My plan is the get fitted with a full set of the T150 irons asap.

interesting stat..80% of tour players blend their sets while 30% of amateurs blend.....with the T150's, it will be easier to blend with the T200.......

If it’s replacing the 100-S then it makes sense because the 100-s is a players distance iron

The T200 is the PD iron according to Titleist so im curious if this is a players iron or a "distance" iron.....

cant wait to see the specs on these and the technology....

I just called Titleist and spoke to the club department. They are not releasing any info publicly until LATE JULY but did say the T150 can be considered a HYBRID between the current T100-S and T200. They did say the construction of the current T200 makes it their PD club in the current lineup.  The call sparked my interest thats for sure

Looking for some wisdom from fellow MyGolfSpy members.

My wedge set up used to be 48-PW, 52-GW, 56-SW and 60-LW which worked out perfect.

My new set that I will be getting soon will have 45-PW so I changed my gap wedge to 50 degree loft and I am caught in a dilemma on what I should do with my SW and LW.

    - I can adjust my SW to 55 degrees so I can keep a constant 5 degree gap throughout all my wedges (45, 50, 55, 60)

    - I can change my SW and LW to 54 and 58 degrees to keep 4 degree gap throughout (45, 50, 54, 58)

    - Or just keep my set as is (45, 50, 56, 60)

I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on how big of a difference a 1 degree of loft on wedges?

1 degree only matters if you are applying the same exact strike each time. Dynamic loft is much different than static loft so unless you are applying this exact loft at the strike point, these are just numbers....most amateurs do not apply the same dynamic loft on each full or half strike......This is way pros can be fit with such accuracy. Amateurs not so much.

That right.  I ordered a set of PXG 0211 ST's, 6 thru gap.  Given my ball striking, the likelihood of me playing them more than a few times a year is slim but I just sold some stuff and couldn't resist.  I have an old set of Wilson FG17 Staff irons that I hit occasionally which are surprisingly forgiving for a blade but I need graphite.  I'm hoping the new irons will have that pure feel we all crave.

good for you bro.....blades should be played by everyone....real golfers anyway...lol

I’m confused.  They are testing both balls in the ball test.   Or are you faulting TM for being a bad OEM and failing to improve a ball that seems to be one of the best?

TM did not release a new version in 2023 like many other manufacturers so the test will be with the 2021 version which has been tested already.

... Aesthetics at address is huge for most lower index players. If there is something that doesn't suit their eyes there is always that factor nagging them when swinging poorly. Although LOL, rarely when swinging well. A thinner top line or less offset or a slight difference in a squarish or rounded toe and visuals of the hosel grind can certainly be enough to change irons even with zero physical performance improvements because it puts them in a better frame of mind. It is one of the reason I always SMH at those on forums that just look at the back of an iron, not having seen the sole or at the address position and proclaim they would never play those irons because they are ugly. Best irons I have ever played are the MIM Tours and I think the cavity looks crowded and gaudy, but they look great at address, feel better than any iron I have played when hit dead center and performance is awesome. The back of the club is irrelevant if they nail everything else.

all this supports my postings from early on.  Others were saying i was not giving credit to R&D people and blah blah blah.....i said it many times. Aesthetics play a huge role regardless of performance. It can be the MAIN driver in buying or designing new clubs. In fact the entire thread is basically about this very point.  Totally agree with you.....the eye is HUGE for tour pros

I think the T series is a great line of clubs that allows blended sets. Titleist has seemed to hit the sweet spot on that and embraced the trend.

i think Titleist missed the blending sweet spot with the T100-s and T200...which is why these two clubs are updated...to make the blending much better between the two clubs...which were truly much different than one another.......presumably the T150 will blend better with the new T200

It’s a lot more than an updated ap2. It’s a huge improvement over them in terms of design and spin. It’s a club Spieth put in the bag right away. He doesn’t change just to change. Titleist also said that the t100 and 100-s gives them what they wanted the ap2 to be so it’s by far an improvement over the ap2.

No club improves ones scoring because the golfer still needs to execute each chit that’s in front of them in order to score lower. When they do they improve their chances and when they don’t they hurt their chances. It’s when a golfer is in a club or set of clubs that is a poor fit for them that they could see an improvement in score.

Its more than an updated AP2, i agree I will call it a progression if you will. They (Spieth and Titleist) actually referred to it as a rebadged Ap2 with less offset and thinner topline. this was confirmed by Spieth in 2019 prior to the Open championship when he switched clubs. He recommended some changes to the AP2 and they came back with the T100.  "improvement" is a generic term however....Spieth got what he asked for and its based on Aesthetics....he wanted less offset....thinner top line...it fits his eye better. Thats an "improvement" .....that was the basis of his recommendation.... he also wanted a slight sole change for turf interaction but looks the big thing for him. Titleist performs so that is just an automatic.  im sure they are more "forgiving"

    a fun fact

Speiths game has been worst since moving from AP2.

    2013 -2017 - 11 wins with the AP2

    2020- 2022 since his switch to T100 - 2 wins no majors
