Love seeing these updates still rolling in (pun intended)…on the Milled side Millie is the putter I trust most.  Most  days it starts on line and rolls the ball almost effortlessly…last couple of rounds have been sub 30 putts for 18 holes.

The Odyssey is playing its way back I to the bag.  30 putts today, no 3 putts and quite a few 1 putts.  Starting to feel comfortable with this putter again.
Still had some issues of cutting across the ball, but hit some very solid putts today.

Day 232 (05 Sep 24) - walked the front nine at home course with the “vintage set” (Toney Penna persimmon 1-3-5 woods, MacGregor Mike Souchak 4-9 irons along with. MacGregor Dbl Duty wedge, Spalding KroFlite SW, Spalding Tournament putter).  Played from my regular tees and managed a +7 43.  Key to the day was focused course management and remembering just how small the sweet spot is on all these clubs….love the challenge and dig the rewards of playing these clubs.

Day 230 (03 Sep 24) - Full swing drills today with the longer irons and hybrid…as this was the backyard, stayed with hard foam balls in a pretty stiff N-NE breeze.  Able to work on flighting the ball down into the wind and then working the ball with the wind to the target point.

Willie T reacted to GolfSpy_APH in Testers Announced: TaylorMade P-Series and Hi-Toe 4 Wedges
TaylorMade has introduced three new products designed to elevate your golf game: the P·770 Irons, P·7CB Irons, and the Hi-Toe 4 Wedge. We’re looking for six golfers—two for each product—to test, review, and keep these clubs. This is your chance to see if TaylorMade’s claims hold up when these clubs are put to the test by real golfers like you!
    What you’ll be testing
TaylorMade P·770 Irons: These irons are crafted for golfers who desire a blend of distance and forgiveness within a compact design. The hollow body construction with SpeedFoam Air aims to combine power with precision, while also providing a soft feel on impact. They’re said to be perfect for those who want to shape their shots without compromising on distance.
TaylorMade P·7CB Irons: Aimed at golfers who value precision, these cavity-back irons blend a traditional look with modern engineering. They are built to deliver high levels of control and feedback, allowing for a variety of shot shapes. This should make them a top choice for those who prioritize accuracy and feel.
TaylorMade Hi-Toe 4 Wedge: This wedge is designed for versatility in short-game scenarios. Featuring full-face grooves and a high-toe design, it’s engineered to enhance spin and control, especially when executing open-faced shots. It’s intended to perform well in a range of conditions and lies, making it a go-to option for short-game enthusiasts.

Please welcome and congratulate our testers!

Day 229 (02 Sep 24) - Grandson wanted to hit some into the net with the winner being the one who hit the target inside the net the most.  He beat me by one (wink, wink).  Then some around the yard stroke pkay using foam balls…he had his distance control happening, beat me two out of three holes.  After he and his dad left, I worked on “on course” shot rehearsals - from stepping behind the ball to “see the target” line, to getting feet parallel to the target line and making a solid swing thru the ball that culminates with the pop of the ball in the target.

Day 227 (31 Aug 24) -  Nip and roll drills with the 50deg wedge.  Set up between 5 and 10 yds from the backyard pins.  Goal was to have the balls finish with 6’ radius of the pin.  Hit groups of six balls - did well as the average finish was well within 2’ of the pins.  Solid confidence builder session.

Day 226 (30 Aug 24) - Friday Men’s golf…had a solid 81 (41 / 40).  It was a solid day of solid pars - had 9 pars, 9 bogies.  Using the Aim Point base principles resulted in solid starts that finished less than 2’ from the hole for stress free pars and easy bogies.  Of course I blew several easy birdie attempts where I choked with the speed.  Still working to be trusting of the read.  (edited to add the score card):
