Alright.  I'm sold on this.  I had to look it up after seeing this post and wondering what exactly it was.  These forums are always dangerous to someone with a weak will.

It definitely beats not having anything for that and it adds being able to check club head path without tearing up my yard or going through tons of powder spray.

Sometimes when you work midnights and 7 days a week, you find creative ways to practice. 😄🙃

Playing the AMT Black S300 in my AP3s.  Love them in my 3-5 irons but would prefer the heavier DG Gold S300s.  I prefer to hit a more penetrating ball flight in my shorter irons and the AMT Blacks too spinny for me.

You ain't kidding, these forums will lead you to buy things you never knew you needed. I can't say I'd endorse too many training aids, but this, SuperSpeed, and the Planemate are legit.

I had to come home from work and do some touch up cleaning on my car because I found out today that my new lease is in and I am scheduled to pick it up tomorrow. I was hoping to get a full practice session in, but I ended up taking a few swings at the Divot Board instead.
It's starting to get there, still have a long way to go, but I'm loving the feedback I'm getting from it. I'm still working on not swaying and better rotation. Getting out of the habit of relying on my arms in the golf swing is going to be a long, hard road but one I hope pays off.

I played the AMT S300 in the 716AP2's. They might not be the same shaft as today. The short-mid irons were ok, not better than standard s300's. The long irons played softer to me and ballooned with too much spin. I remember being able to back up a 4i on soft greens regularly. Flyers were a regular occurrence.
I appreciate the thought of lighter long iron shafts I just couldn't get them to work well in practice.

I can't say I blame you, working that much, and on nights, you've got to get your fix.

I’ve had them in two different sets of titleist irons. I had the original AMT which are now the amt white. They performed very similar to the non amt shafts for me as I had been an s300 guy for a long time. The lighter weight in the longer options was a nice change especially if feeling a little gassed near the end of the round.
Someone looking at going lighter and wanting a little more  launch and spin compared to the standard dg shafts the black is a good option.

@JohnSmalls good stuff to know.  I've seen the other AMT shafts on "older" iron sets for sale and I've read what little TT has about them under their Legacy Shaft section for retired shaft lines.  Five iron down to pitching wedge is all I would have personally, I have yet to come across a four iron that I can hit AND have the ball go very far.  I have honestly wondered if there is such a thing as too light of a shaft for long irons, 5 and below (up?), so personally I would say that you may be on to something about the weight of your 4 iron shaft.

A few years ago there were only two options, Dynamic Gold AMT and DG AMT Tour Issue. IIRC, True Temper updated and updated and released them with Red, black, and white options.   I may be wrong on this but I think the AMT white lineup is the closest version of the shafts in my irons (DG AMT).
I was quasi-fit for these, as they were the closest shaft in the lineup from Wilson that meshed with what the fitter had in his cart at the time (I was fit for the DG 105).  What I've found playing them over the past year is that either I've meshed with them or the fit happened to be right (I tend to favor DG shafts).
Over the past year I've found that these shafts largely perform well for from PW-5i from full, knockdown, 3/4 and half swings.  For whatever reason my 4i will not play ball on anything more than about a 3/4 swing.  I've found that I have a tendency to lose the longer irons more often if I get a little to quick in transition.  Personally I think this is due to the lighter weight, but I haven't proven it.   Overall, I like the shafts; they perform well for me through the bag except for the 4i.  As always YMMV.  If you can find a demo day with someone that carries TT shafts, give em a swing.

So, who all here on the forums uses the TT AMT series of iron shafts and what are your thoughts?  I've had my eye on the AMT Black set specifically.  I really like the idea of lighter weight long iron shafts to help generate club head speed and assist with getting the ball going.

I'm not sleeping on either.  There's nothing that terribly excited me about the look of the new Srixon irons.  I know I won't see the back of the iron while the club is in hand, but it's a weird Intangible in my window shopping.
PXG.  Oh, PXG.  Much like a Ferrari or a Lamborghini, I wouldn't touch PXG without going to a dealer.

Irons, irons, and more irons.  A full set to replace my current gamers and a vintage set just to have.  The shortlist to replace my gamers are Cobras, Mizunos, and Titleist irons.  Perhaps I am over confident based on where I felt I ended year 2 of golf, perhaps I am overconfident because of my Arcoss calculated handicap vs my actual GHIN number.  My Arcoss data has fewer rounds, but better rounds and my GHIN number has more rounds, but older and uglier rounds.  It's a tough spot to be in.
