Wozgolf
I took a quick look on a retail web site for the cost of clubs. This list is somewhat random Callaway Diablo irons $799 Cleveland CG16 irons $799 Nike VR Pro $899 Taylor Made CB Irons $1099 Cobra ZL driver $349 Titleist 910D2 driver $399 How much of this cost goes directly to sponsorships of pro players? Some manufacturers seem to lock up as many top stars as they can (Nike & Callaway come to mind). I realize that having your clubs in a top pro's hand is marketing 101 however how much to we pay for that privilege? Woz

I saw an article on that a few years back and basically said the companies paid roughly 25% of profits for endorsements. i do not know where the author got his information from or if it was accurate I may even be wrong on the exact percentage.
