I made a net in my garage out of PVC / zip ties / netting.  Ordered a net from Just for nets (#18 high impact net) and it has held up pretty well for the past 2 months of use.  I hit probably 2 - 3 times a week.  Out of precaution i extended the right side wall in case of any shanks that could hit a car.  So far so good, total cost was under 100 bucks for all materials.

Look for "mesh cargo net" from your local auto parts supply store. Usually will come with reinforced grommets for tie downs to fasten it to whatever frame you want to use and come in a variety of sizes. I used 1-1/2" plastic plumbing pipe for my frame. In the future I will look for a place to hang the net with a rope and a pulley so I can lift and drop it as needed and there is no frame to deal with. The frame was double the cost of the net, so hanging with a rope and pulley or hooks will greatly reduce your overall cost in addition to being easier to handle.

I got two of these from harbor freight, a piece of EMT and some large carabiners. One mesh tarp is 10x20 feet, and one 10x7 I think. The EMT is held up with carabiners on either end from my garage door rails, and the 10x20 tarp is hung from the EMT centered, so that about 5 feet folds back on each side. The 10x7 is attached to the top. “Stitched” together with zip ties and then hang a 4x4 target/sheet/tarp piece to hit into and be replaced as necessary. The whole thing rolls up and then gets pushed to the back of the garage rails where it can stay up for me. I think it was <$100 total and has great containment!

I got some of this a while back and put my own grommets in it and hung it from hooks.  I went with the archery netting so no worries about balls going through.  It’s heavy and quiet.

I have used a similar setup for the past 2 years, except the white net from Just for Nets.  I can tell you that hitting a lot of wedge/9i shots even with my slow swing speed, I put a hole in the net in the first 3 months.  Notified the company and they sent a patch kit.  I added the Spornia target sheet ($40) over the net attached to the frame with shock cord and had no problems over the next 18 months.
