yattin
Hey guys, new here. Hopefully this type of question is allowed. Got a Taylormade SIM driver kind of recently and noticed that everytime I hit it, this part (circled in red) would increase almost as if loosening. I tried calling TM support and they are sending a screw to replace on the driver head where the shaft meets it- not sure if that will fix it? Anyway, just wondering if this is an easy fix and if its okay to still play on. Thanks! Stuka44
I'm not sure. I don't have one, but I typed into google "my sim driver shaft coming loose" and one thing that came up was some 9 minute video of some British guy talking about how to adjust it. He loosened the screw on the bottom and took the shaft out and was talking about the different settings, by rotating the shaft, but it never seemed to come apart where yours appears to be coming apart at. For what its worth. russtopherb
It almost looks like the sleeve is coming loose, not the ferrule, since you can see the prepped part of the shaft. tony@CIC 1 Quote In my carry bag: ST-X 10.5* Kai'li Blue R Flex ST-Z 15* Kai/li Blue R Flex ST-Z 4h Linq Blue R Flex Launcher 5h Launcher CBX 6i-PW CBX 54* & 58* Huntington Beach #10 e12 Contact CURRENTLY TESTING - Mizuno Long Game Link to comment

BKordon
It looks like the ferrule is loose and the epoxy is broken. Check for two things: 1. Is the club now a little longer? This would indicate that the shaft is separating from the adapter and the head will eventually fly off. You can also check to see if the shaft wants to spin in the adapter/ 2. Does the ferrule slide back into place? Could be as simple are a little glue to put the ferrule back into place. If you're not comfortable with doing your own troubleshooting, take it to a repair guy. Good luck. cnosil and tony@CIC 2 Quote Mizuno ST190, 9 degrees, Fujikura Ventus Black 6S Mizuno ST190, 14 degrees, Fujikura Ventus Black 7S Mizuno ST200 , 18 degrees, Fujikura Ventus Blue 7X Miura CB 301, 4 iron, Fujikura Ventus 9x Miura CB 301, 5-PW Nippon Modus 120S Miura K Grind, 52, 54 and 58, Nippon Modus 130s hand ground by Usher Golf Miura KM 006 LH Link to comment

Yeah club was getting longer and I just tried twisting it and was able to close the gap with a little force. I think the epoxy was broken. Appreciate the help !
