Popular Post patrickjbutler
My Titleist TPI fitness instructor had a cool training aid that we were using, "the straight stick." It helped me a lot so I bought one from Performance Golf because they had the best price. Little did I know that when you buy anything from Performance Golf, they automatically sign you up for a $30/month subscription to their "Scratch Club" which includes training content and a constant bombardment of emails. I checked the Better Business Bureau and there are multiple complaints of people who had similar experiences to mine. I caught the monthly charge quickly and filed a complaint w BBB and a dispute with my credit card company. I also sent a complaint directly to Performance Golf, who defended their practice of adding the stealth subscription. In the end, they did, however, refund my money. I just wanted to get the word out to folks that if you buy anything from Performance Golf, they will surreptitiously add their annoying "Scratch Club" subscription and bill your credit card $30 per month. cksurfdude
Agree that anything added on like that should be easy more clear to the consumer. Had a similar experience in the past with Momentus golf - an angry phone call resolved the issue, but I'm sure I didn't see a thing telling me a subscription was added on to my order.... taylorjonasher
My buddies have purchased the Straight Stick driver and 7i; I don't know how it's supposed to reinforce staying on plane as advertised. I couldn't figure out if the magnet is supposed to release at impact in the downswing so that it "clicks" at impact, but I quickly sh*t on his parade by getting the magnet to release with both extremes of horizontal in-to-out and vertical over the top swings. It looks to me like a magnetic disc that can have the placement adjusted on the shaft that is overcome and released with speed. I think the whole thing is a scam, honestly. cksurfdude and Rob Person 2 Quote Titleist TSR3 // Tensei 1K Black 65g Titleist TSR3 3W 15* // HZRDOUS Black 70g Titleist U505 2i // HZRDOUS Black 85g Taylormade P770 4-PW // Nippon NS Pro Modus 3 105g Callaway JAWS MD5 50* Callaway JAWS Raw 54* / 58* Taylormade Spider GTX Single Bend Splitback / Ping Zing 2 Titleist ProV1 // Srixon Z-Star XV (Depending on how much money I want to lose any given swing)
patrickjbutler
Yeah, I agree with you it's probably not going to help me or anyone hit it straight. I do think it is useful at helping me understand where in my swing the club is moving the fastest and it is helping me understand the difference between a really slow and less slow swing because I'm an old guy whose days of swinging fast are way behind me. taylorjonasher, Rob Person and cksurfdude 3 Quote Ping G430 Max 10k w Alta CB 55R Sim Titanium 3 wood with Mitsubishi C6 Red Regular 3, 4, 5 Ping G430 hybrids w Alta CB S 6-U Ping i210 w AWT 2.0 Stiff 54, 60 Ping Glide 4.0 w AWT 2.0 Stiff Odyssey V-line CS w BTG Stability Tour Black ProV1x left dash MGI Navigator AT

Rob Person
There is also another company that uses the moniker MGS. I'm sure it was a 3rd party affiliated deal that was not un-subscribable. I keep getting emails and texts no matter how hard I've tried to stop them. Thankfully no charges have been applied! Is the "performance golf " you speak of the same as PGM? Or is it the same company that sells PRO endorsed products like the ONE swing wedge? ex-customer
Apparently I have the same problem as many others have experienced. I purchased the PG1 wedge. Spoke to a rep with a broken accent and had to keep telling her I only wanted the club. One month later I have a 319.00 charge against my account. When I called them to clarify the dispute, I was told they would review this and get back with me in 72 hours. Needless to say I won't be purchasing any more clubs from performance golf. As far as their claim about the club, the jury is still out on that. Rob Person
DWG
Performance Golf is over-inflated hype. They want your money. The "VIP experience" golf school is a standard group clinic, no VIP about it.. Rob Person
TreySwann
Performance Golf is the worst! I was a fool and purchased the SF1 Driver. The SF1 Driver is trash. A better grip and setup are much better at correcting a slice than this driver that overpromises and underdelivers. But it gets worse... When you purchase the $249 SF1 Driver, they automatically sign you up to join their Scratch Club subscription, which is $29 monthly. They don't tell you this when you buy the driver; it is in the fine print. From my point of view, I purchased a good (the driver) and was being billed for a service I neither wanted nor used. But wait, there's more... They proudly advertise that they offer "The Industry’s FIRST 365-Day, 100% Money Back Guarantee." It's bullshit. You have to pay to ship the club back to them. Shipping the club at UPS costs $85, which is 1/3 of the cost of the driver itself (I paid $249). Performance Golf makes it challenging to get the club returned. They do not answer the phone when you call with a billing concern, and you cannot cancel online. They are the absolute worst to deal with. Avoid Performance Golf like the plague. - Trey Swann
Diosdado Galindo
I was charged $399.00 for a product/ lifetime subscription which I strongly declined when I bought the speed stick club which by the way is a questionable product. People should be suspicious when dealing with this company. I am still waiting for their response. I called my bank to dispute this charge. It is company like this that makes you think twice before wasting your time and money in responding to their advertisement
