All things considered it was my favorite Chicago course. Great staff and one of the few that still enforces pace of play. Always in good condition. Very friendly off the tee with generous landing areas. A Faux Links course on a Forest Preserve so no homes or buildings. And very reasonable prices that are lower than most. I told you I'd get out there sometime this summer and I just booked a tee time for next Saturday! Very excited to check it out. You were right, the price is MUCH more reasonable than most in the area. chisag 1 Quote Current WITB: Bag: MV2 Golf Bag Driver: G425 Max 9.0º,Ventus Blue Velocore 6S Fairway: TSR2 3 wood 15º,Ventus Red Velocore 7S Driving Iron: U505 2-iron, Graphite Design Tour AD DI-85S Irons: MP-54 (4-P), Project X 6.0S Wedges: 50.09 SB, 54.11 SB, 58.11 SB Putter: Ai-ONE Jailbird Mini DB 35" Ball: Tour X

I have a standing 7am tee time at my home club in Iowa. But another club I often play at doesn’t allow play before 9am (I’m sure it has to do with a small maintenance staff). Another one in Nebraska it’s 8am. Yet when I visit my daughters in Illinois I routinely see on-line tee times available as early as 5:30am. That 5:30 is a tad early for me, but I’d love to tee it up at 6 or 6:30. You? At our local course - "Member" walkers are out at first light (however the earliest I've seen them out has been around 6:30), they don't care if everything has been freshly cut and they are not looking for a cart to ride. Carts on the course - 7:30 am in the summber, Fall-Winter - when the greens have thawed (which often means starting off the back as they warm up quicker). Quote WITB? glnelson7
The group of golfers who I've played with in Florida during the winter months have standing tee times on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the sunrise tee time. However, I must admit that occasionally we have teed off in that witching hour when you can still track your ball prior to sunrise. Golfergurl
I love early morning golf. Last week I played at 7am and to me there is nothing more pleasing and calming. The course is in great condition at that time, birds are chirping, pace is perfect with no waiting. On a hot day you are done before it gets too hot and have the rest of the day to get alot done. Its the best!
Julius
With my prior golf partner, her and I would play by 7:30 am, and our home course was about a 40 minute drive away, but we didn't do any warm up typically, we would just do some putting green but nothing on the driving range. She moved back to England a few years ago and after that I started to play with a younger colleague from my office, we leave early (by 7 am) and usually hit the driving range for a bucket then some pitch/put and our standing teem time on the weekends is 8:50, which is a bit later than I would like, I would prefer 8 am or frankly but it is ok. For me anytime from 7:30 to 8:30 is fine. I don't like to start after 10 am actually or I would prefer to wait until later in the afternoon if possible, say 3 pm.
