whiskey golf
While I am happy to switch to the R1, I was reluctant to switch drivers. I really liked the DST and it'll serve as a great backup driver. Although if I was getting ideal numbers with the DST, I'd probably just use that over the R1. But they are both really good drivers. And unfortunately I don't game the Baffler or Wilson anymore. I have used them plenty of times but I like the current setup I'm going with now so they'll just sit in my room. whiskey golf
Where did you get the red crossline cord? I can't find much info about them. I found them at a local golf shop. The first time I saw them there they had about 13 but when I went back a couple weeks later they had 2 so I had to get them before they were gone. I asked one of the club-repair men about them and they don't make them anymore which is a shame because the Crossline Cords are my favorite and the red looks very cool. I've looked on ebay before but could only find Red Midsize Crosslines, no cord.

whiskey golf
Just a quick update of some changes. I'm currently gaming an old Bullseye putter which has been okay, may need to look around for a different gamer. I think I'm going to take out my 4 iron because it is at a 22 loft and my hybrid is a 21 so it doesn't really have a purpose. I have been inconsistent with it and my hybrid is more forgiving, goes farther, and has better results all around. So this leaves me with an extra slot which I may or may not fill. Max F
I just saw one of those Yes "bullseye" type putters and am curious what you think about it. I used to bag a Yes Tracy. whiskey golf
I'm liking it a lot. It has a nice soft feel to it and it has a good roll. The toe hang is about 5 o'clock but it says it's supposed to be full toe hang online. Even though it has a lot of hang, it doesn't arc a whole lot which is nice compared to my 8802 style putters. Max F
Thanks for the feedback. Hope it continues to work for you. Enjoy the golf - we got another 6 inches of snow yesterday. I just noticed you swapped out the JPX 825 Pro 9-GW for SCOR wedges. You like them that much better? Any issues transitioning from the 8 iron to the 41* SCOR? Do they feel better than the MIzunos or do you just prefer to carry the whole set of wedges? whiskey golf
I still carry the 8 iron, the 9 iron got kicked out. The 41 and 45 degree took some getting used to but I like them a lot better. They are more accurate and it's nice to say that I have some blades in the bag, for the ego. whiskey golf
I'm turning into a club ho now, I just bought an old Titleist 3 wood mainly for the stiff shaft and a set of Mizuno T-Zoid True Blades, 3-9 iron, for a cheap price. They were in very good condition and I couldn't resist.

whiskey golf
Quick update, I went to the range and tried the new 3 wood and irons. The 3 wood is a keeper, the stiffer and heavier shaft is keeping the ball much straighter. The irons are very nice too, I need to take them out and play because I only got to hit off of mats. As of now, they are equal to my irons, I'm not hitting worse or better but we'll see how it goes on real grass and while actually playing.
Max F
Thanks for the answers. I will read the reviews on the SCOR wedges. I've heard good things but never seen one in person. As far as the blades go, maybe your swing is getting good enough that it doesn't matter what you choose to hit and you can still get good results. Congrats. I dug out the Wilson Sam Snead Blue Ridge blades my grandpa gave me that I learned on about 30 years ago. I'm thinking about getting new shafts and grips so that I can try them out from time to time for nostalgia sake. I hit the 7 iron at the range (rusty shafts and dry rot grips and all) recently and the results were better than I expected. whiskey golf
I hit these today off grass and while they are cool I will probably sell them. I hit them fine but the shafts aren't for me since they are older regular flexed models and these irons balloon in slight wind. Plus I don't need blades and I'm actually glad I got these so I could get rid of any further thought of thinking about new irons. I may pick up an old bladed 6 iron or something though but just to practice with.

whiskey golf
Love the Red, White Blue and the raw finish on the wedges. I may steal that idea from you. I really like the looks of it but I've moved to different wedges since then so I'm probably going to get rid of it. If I can't sell it then it'll just sit in the extra bag with all the other clubs. whiskey golf
One thing to keep in mind is that a hybrid with the same loft as an iron(say a 22° 4i and a 22° hybrid) is about one club longer distance wise. Obviously, there are exceptions to the rule however my 4i was 24° as was my hybrid, which I hit 12-15 yds longer and it played in place of my 3i. I would go off of filling gaps versus looking at numbers, be they club numbers or lofts- You should be hitting that 21° hybrid about what you'd hit a 3i or 10-15 yds further than that 22° 4i. Have a great season Bro All My Best, Richard I understand what you mean by this, but so far it has been working out just fine. The thing I enjoy about having this hybrid in place of the 4 iron is that I don't need to swing as hard to get the distance that would normally come with the 4 iron and if I need to get some extra distance then I can just swing a little harder and get it, this wouldn't be the case with the 4 iron and this works well on certain tee shots. whiskey golf
A couple changes going on right now. First off, the SCOR 41, 45, and 49 are on time out because I am digging way too much with them on full shots and they're not forgiving enough for me lately. So I will go back to my Mizuno JPX 9 iron, PW and GW since they are more forgiving and fit for me, plus they have a bit more sole to them. The 53 and 57 are awesome though so no complaints there. My irons are good and have been doing the job. My woods could use improvement, I need to pick some models that I like and get fit and maybe purchase.
