I can appreciate that. Growing up, my father was a minister for the Nazarene church in the Ohio/Pennsylvania area. I used to practice my soccer dribbling in the empty church between the pews.

This is good stuff. Is that a church you're in?

I saw these on the touch of modern app and wondered if anyone has heard of or tried these? Doesn't really look like my kind of thing but hey you never know. No I'm not trying to sell them. I'm legitimately curious as to whether or not they work.

I still have my Steelhead driver and warbird fairways in my garage. They haven't seen the light of day for a good many years now. Maybe I'll pull them out and take them to the range one of these days.

How do you motivate yourself to keep improving?
IDontGiveAchuck replied to Tanky's topic in General Q&A
I love this topic. Its great to see all the different ideas and opinions. For me, the reason I started to get into golf was that it was something new and its like a puzzle. I'm a fan of science and math and have always gravitated toward things that make you think and work things out. So my motivation is to solve the puzzle. Golf, at least for me, is one that might never be solved like the Riemann Hypothesis. I just keep working at it waiting for the small breakthroughs that come up every once in a while, that chip in from 10 yards off the green or that 30 foot putt that falls in the cup. I don't have any one thing that I do to motivate myself, it's just my OCD that compels me to keep going! -
This was me after hearing the news...

I'm curious about these as well. Unfortunately I haven't heard anything about their release.

I just got my personalized dozen of Gamers delivered yesterday! 5 days for delivery and for a grand total of $31.99 after tax and delivery. I plan on trying to get in a round this weekend with them, if the rain holds out. So...big IF. -
Fair points. I'm not debating his success as a golfer nor am I being critical of his physical makeover, I applaud him for that.

Wasn't Morikawa the new face of golf? And then it was DJ? Now its Bryson? Then it will be whoever wins the next major... As an engineer/(amateur)scientist, it insults me to hear Bryson being called a scientist. Just because you throw around some numbers that only make sense to you doesn't make you a scientist! Just my opinion.

I was in a similar state of mind previously...I was skeptical about the Kirkland Signature balls. That is until I finally broke down and tried them and found out that for the money they were a great ball. I'll be buying a dozen of these to try out. I mean they're only $23, I spend more than that on Starbucks in a week! -
Congrats Bolts. I'm just sitting over here in Seattle waiting for them to release the Kraken!!!

I've bought a few things off Mercari and this has always been a fear of mine when doing so. I hope it works out for you soon.

Chisag's Tip Of The Day #16
IDontGiveAchuck replied to chisag's topic in Lessons, Drills, Mental Game, and Fitness Tips
Speaking as one of those "high index players", I can get on board with this completely. One of the hardest things I have learned to do, and it did take me a long time, was to relax my arms. I'm not the strongest guy out there, not the weakest either, but when I learned to stop trying to muscle the ball to 300 yards is when I started hitting more consistent and accurate balls. These are great tips! Where were you when I needed you 20 years ago?! Thanks for sharing.
