Date 03/06/2024 Course Name Sun City Golf Club Cowan Creek Gross Score 64 Course Handicap 0 Gross Strokes over/under par -8 Net Score to Par -8 Net Score 64 Net Birdies or better 8 Longest Drive 335 TYPE OF ROUND SOLO SCRAMBLE Ok to get this in I had to play solo and was fortunately not behind slow groups. Playing two balls was fun especially on a good ball striking day. It gave me the chance to get very aggressive if the first shot was safe and in decent position. I believe this shows what your real potential could be on a course. Lastly, I played the Odin and the Callaway balls shot for shot. I still love the Odin, but I am losing about 6 to 8 yards off the tee.

If only I could putt. GIR is a bit distorted since 3 of the 4 misses were on the fringe and within 20' and the fairway misses were all shots where I had just run off the short grass.

Editing my post because I thought I was PLAYING against snicerz. Now that I know he is on my team I am excited and hopefully won't let him down!

Thanks to @Cfhandyman for inspiring me to create a different tournament graphic.  Unfortunately, being in Excel I had to work within the spreadsheet structure.  It's not as pretty as his but will auto populate the total two-person best ball scores from the other sheets. 
        
      Don't worry about everyone being tied at -18!  It's just an outcome of the way I set up the scoring sheets.  Once scores start to roll in, it will automatically update to the correct overall best-ball score.

Played 9 today as a get ready— here’s hoping everything dries out by Monday.  Started raining on 1 and the rain came down more than steady through 9 then I called it a day.  My bag, my rain gloves and several towels along with my clubs are spread all thru my garage.  I am ready!

Glad you enjoyed. That was the whole point of the exercise. A light hearted tongue in cheek look with a little humour thrown in.  But I do know you and the others will be battling for overall bragging rights.

This field is truly wide open. My prediction is with courses still in late winter/early spring conditions we could see some new personal bests as VCT tournament rounds seem to have a way to bring out some of the best rounds of the year for everyone. 😎

Which team will win the MGS March golf madness VCT showdown. Will it be the long hitting every steady @Javs, especially with a new putter in the bag together with the ever steady @CFreddie.  You can never count out season 2 winner and top seed last minute @RoverRick especially with @GolfSpy_SHARK. Will they devour all in sight.  Or will it be the ever consistent @Randall Robbins with @IndyBonzo or @J7Hawkins with @LBC prevailing.  Or will it be the fastest riser in the standings, @GolfSpy_BEN who practices very hard and oh yes, rumour has it, will have a new driver in the bag. He’s paired with @Preeway so this could be a tough pairing to beat.  


 Which of the Golfspy’s, will stand out?  Will it be Golfyspy’s APH, SAM, KFT or Shark? If it’s curling, it’s no contest, @GolfSpy_APH will clean the house and leave it on the button every time. Or will it be the humorous and witty @GolfSpy SAM who will knock it close or into the hole, or is that the pond?  Or will Wisconsin’s @GolfSpy_KFT (King of false turn) find his direction and turn the right way. Or will the Navy’s Uncle Shark man @GolfSpy_SHARK go on a feeding fenzy?  Don’t sleep on the early rising and energetic @Josh Parker, especially with Mr. Buffalo, aka @EasyPutter now that he can shovel his way out of his driveway in west Seneca, NY.  Or will the Michigan boys of @warrenator8 together with @Placasse61 or the auto aficionado @rkj427 with @Mr. Mushball have there way.  Or will one of the Florida boys @Golf2Much together with the esteemed forum director himself, @GolfSpy_APH prevail.  Or have I really got this all wrong and it will be one of the women, @BKervin together with @LinksgolfFever showing the boys how to do it from Pawley Island just because the women know how it’s done and are always right. With so many choices, who are you picking?



 There are some strong teams here and I haven’t mentioned all of them. My apologies. Since, I am unable to play, I can sit back, comment and enjoy the odd beverage or two.  And the smack talk has already started.  I love it.  Personally, after watching them all season, I like @Javs / @CFreddie as well as @GolfSpy_BEN / @Preeway  and @Randall Robbins / @IndyBonzo.  My two sleeper picks are @Golf2Much / @GolfSpy_APH and @Josh Parker / @EasyPutter    So who will be the TOP DOG in the battle for the cup.  Good luck everyone.

Actually, we'll likely be using a good number of your holes.  As I am the 38 CH from @Golf2Much's post I haven't been that consistent.  On the plus side for our team, when I get things going well I can get a high number of net birdies, which just gives us a huge advantage.   Keeping last week's  trend going and we'll smash all competitors.  Sorry people, trouble's coming.

Not sure I'll be close to par, but I'm pretty sure I can get close to 90, which is kinda like shooting par for me.  Let's see how many "what ifs" I can take out of my game with a second chance (or 90).

@Mr. Mushball I will be ready to go, no worries. Consistency and staying out of trouble are some great attributes of my game.

There are some eye-popping numbers here and a lot of consistently good play by our members. Congrats to all, on a successful season! I look forward to what Season 3 will bring!

The backyard sim is almost always available after work (depending on snow accumulations)
I have realized that some equipment doesn't seem to like the sub zero temps from some of my winter rounds

It's a pretty impressive field.  All it takes is three weeks of great scores to secure the MGS Cup!  So rest up, get your practice rounds in and let get to it!

Again, a great set of competitors!  Many seasoned veterans of past special VCT tournaments.  The ultimate MGS Cup Champion just might come out of this flight!
