Good morning spies! I had a great day yesterday with a trip over to The Seventy to get fitted for a new Sub70 driver. The 849 Pro was nice, however, I got a sneak peek into a new prototype driver they are releasing this summer! This thing is a BEAST. Matte black with more carbon on the crown and body. It looks absolutely stunning! I decided to wait and order a driver until this new one releases in the summer. If you are contemplating a driver right now,  this just may be worth the wait. 
I was also able to see some of the new prototype irons that are in their early stages of development. They have multiple new irons expected to drop early 2025 and even have some new wedges as well. I have always been a supporter of Sub70, but now, the excitement is a little more than usual. Anyone who is able to go experience The Seventy in Sycamore, Illinois should definitely go. It is the ultimate man cave with great fitters and an environment like no other golf brand.

Good Monday morning all, going to test the Edel in our Monday group play today ! Hope to be able to grab a couple pics though we play quite quickly and it’s not always opportune to stop and grab the phone . I’m not enamored with the eclipse since I’ve seem several in the last 70+ years but to each their own , just be sure to protect your eyes , you only get one set ! Be kind , blessed and gentle!

Good Monday morning Spies!
Enjoying my 2nd cup of coffee and my spousal unit has made some sausage & egg biscuits before I get ready and head for the course. Today is day 1 of our Senior cup competition. Looking to retain our club title for another year. Taking my eclipse glasses with me just in case of slow play. We are in the path of total eclipse, so hope high clouds don't ruin it for us.

They had net  birdies on 7 of the first 8 holes and didn't look back!
They have won the Season VCT Cup Tournament and a special badge will be added to both of their trophy rooms commemorating their excellent effort. Well done gents!

Great playing gents. Was hoping my 5 birdies would be enough but alas, too many bogies. Gonna be a great finish to watch. Got my money on @CFreddieand @Javs  Hoping both teams go low and make this a finale to remember.

Wow, that was an epic round one of the playoffs. Who said the NHL playoffs were hard when you had each team duking it out hole by hole. And you thought the Players championship was close. My pre tournament favourites faired well with @Javs/ @CFreddie, @GolfSpy_BEN/ @Preeway and @Randall Robbins/ @IndyBonzo teams all moving forward.
So in the semi finals who have you got. You know, the rest of the GolfSpy’s (APH, SAM, KFT, Shark) will have their pens and score cards out judging the competition on their secret ballots. 

So in the matchup of B vs C WINNER, you know the long hitting and competitive @Javs will bring the heat and @CFreddie will have his special Georgia “Master’s” secret sauce versus the ever steady and consistent Florida sunshine man @Randall Robbins together with the Hoosier's state  @IndyBonzo Will he be “testing” his Qi10 driver and which shaft will he bring. Two of my pre tournament favourites going head to head in this one and I suspect it will be the play of @CFreddie and @IndyBonzo ultimately determining the outcome. No pressure guys. 
In the other matchup of A vs D WINNERS,  you have I’m in Mexico @EMacK1961 and everything is bigger in Texas’ @daviddvm Against my game is on fire @Preeway together with my driver last week was held together with duct tape and bondo @GolfSpy_BEN. Will Ben get his replacement Qi10 driver in time?  Will the silent assassins of group A, @EMacK1961 bring the Mexican sunshine and his habaneros to continue to play well together with the other Texas single handicap native @daviddvm.  Whose secret home brew will be better and reign supreme, @Preeway or @CFreddie. Will @IndyBonzo travel to play golf?  So is this the rumoured MGS cup they’re all playing for? 

So my semi final picks this week are the team of @Javs/ @CFreddie and @GolfSpy_BEN/ @PreewayWill either make it to the final?  Or will the teams of @EMacK1961 and @Randall Robbins team make this Canadian eat his hockey puck to keep him quiet. Keep watching to find out.

This was a great event, to end the season, and I am sure all that qualified should have at least had some fun and enjoyment while participating.

It’s funny how even when shooting a PR round you can find a few putts that could have dropped that didn’t but I can also recall a few made 5’ and 6’ putts I made that made the round what it was. Gonna have to dig deep if I want to come close to what I did this week.

The weather this week may dictate a SIM round for me, but we’ll see. Great playing in Round 1, I’ll do my best to produce a better result in Round 2!

@Preeway that sub 70 round helped take you to the next level!

Me, too! It’s always the Open Championship in the #1 position for me, and I generally enjoy watching the Masters. I think it’s my English/Scottish heritage that makes the Open Championship so compelling, and it doesn’t hurt that I have played three of the courses used in the rota, which will increase to five courses in less than two months.

The Masters because it doesn’t move from the singular spot and seems to never be the same year after year. 
 
The Open as number two based purely on the fact golf started in that country. 
 
The US Open is next only because that was the first golf major I remember watching and seeing Payne Stewart winning. 
 
Last would be pga championship. I just feel it’s not as big as the other 3. I feel the players is way bigger than it. 

Masters week is the best golf week of the year for me. Watch the Masters Women's Amateur then the Drive Chip and Putt . Those Kids are awesome!
Can't wait to win the Vokey wedges with my picks.
