I have only dabbled in refinishing/painting a putter, didnt turn out for me so I sent it to ping to refinish. now it looks like you just got it off the floor. I have seen tough a lot of heads that were redone and when it came to paint, I would say half used TESTORS acrylic/enamel model paints, some used micro brushed and even broke a toothpick in half to use the exposed wood fibers as the brush for delicate work.
I only build, repair clubs now a days.

What a cool idea and concept. Thanks for sharing the step by step guide. Now all I have to do is raid my wife’s art studio and “borrow” a few things.

Well going to call on all of you to drop a comment or so for this one. I loved doing this process and will spoil some secrets here in that I far prefer to the look of these with no fill and just stripped paint. My goodness they look good. Such a fun experience an was thrilled to be able to do and write about the process.

I agree, likely the same as the white insert just colored differently…the joys of being a pro!

I'm thinking it could be the upgraded Df X series one, or perhaps even an unreleased version of the white-hot (but in black)

That would explain the black face when they were showing him with the new putter at Pebble.  Is the solid black insert the same as the black insert in my old DF 992:

Ahhh. I understand now. I think a different texture on the face would look cooler!
but personally don't think it will change the results.
I saw where Clark's new AI JailBird putter appears to have the smooth black insert that the Odyssey X series had in theirs.

Judging by the last 2 outings there are quite a few professionals that will be in attendance.

If you can lay hands on an MLM2Pro, all 3 courses are in Rapsodo Courses. I may or may not have played some practice rounds…

Tickets. Booked.  (Seriously, have I mentioned how grateful I am for the lady I chose as my teammate? We booked it using miles, so the flight is effectively free)
Coming in on the red-eye Wednesday night, landing in Richmond at 9:30am (or so) on Thursday morning - hopefully I can make my way to HQ to be able to finally see it in person before checking in to the resort!
    So excited!

My understanding of Garmin's Home Tee Hero is that through that you can play any of the 43,000 courses for which Garmin has GPS data for their devices. And that includes three courses at Kingsmill.

Watching the Amex today, having been in Palm Springs only two weeks ago, is kind of surreal.  I LOVED playing out of the dormant rough - not just because it was a LOT less penalizing than typical rough, but because it was genuinely beautiful and something I don't get to see all that often.  Watching these guys just go fairway/green/repeat is something I didn't QUITE do, lol, but it's still got me thinking all about Kingsmill.  Completely different kind of test, but man I'm excited to see those courses and to get to meet everyone.
Based on pictures/videos, I'm going to be hitting a LOT of 3-irons to avoid the nasty stuff left/right/center 😉
Anyone know if there's a virtual-reality version of Kingsmill anywhere?  Can you play it on any of the sim software? That would be rad.

So I have been doing a thousand other things, but this is still something I am stupid excited for.
It is going to be a crazy 2 months with going to Sweden end of April, coming home then off to Paris for a few day, then my family comes to visit for a few weeks before I go to the outing and then come home and start work again! Might as well just keep a bag packed for a while!

    Good Morning MyGolfSpy Nation!!
The day is going to be overcast, with rain and possible snow in the forecast, bug change from the summer like weather last week. Finishing up work in a hour, my company did not have any issues keeping the Super Bowl attendants connected to their texting and and other phone services while at the game.
Going to go crash for a few hours sleep, then back at it tonight.
    Have a great day everyone!!
