  1. I’ve not had the chance to test the TS3 7 iron much because I am trying to dial in a set of clubs I already own before I chuck them all for the Maltbys, BUT I did test the Maltby today on two par 3 (playing 154 and 162), and I put both 10 yards left of the pin and even or just past. Very impressive since GIR is the aspect I am trying to improve right now. It is very easy to hit, has excellent turf interaction, and feels very soft at impact. I am beyond intrigued.
  2. FWIW I recommend the GWX 50 in A flex. I intend to try the MP soon and have it ordered.
  3. Good morning Spies! Feeling good today after a nice round in beautiful weather yesterday. Trying to figure out how soon I can get out again. A typical workday on tap. I wish you all super days!
  4. Date 05/29/2023 Course Name The Fort Golf Course Gross Score 83 Course Handicap 12 Gross Strokes over/under par 11 Net Score to Par -1 Net Score 71 Net Birdies or better 4 Longest Drive 276 It was a beautiful day at Fort Benjamin Harrison. Lots of Cottonwood snow as you can hopefully see in the video. Scoring could have been better with more GIR, but overall a good ball striking day and I cannot wait to come back! IMG_4449.mov
  5. Very cool stuff here! Glad I found this. Will no doubt be asking for recipes. Here’s our most recent cooking fun: Chimichurri Skirt Steak over the fire. It turned out well, but we should have marinated it longer.
  6. Good Morning Spies! I hope you all have big weekend plans. I’ve already been to the range, now at the gym, and then to work for an abbreviated day until an ortho appointment to get my knee checked out. My beloved St. Bernard (Duncan R.I.P) took out my knee 12 years ago and I had it scoped then, but it is acting up again pretty badly. When it affects my golf game it has to get checked out! Lots of family and range time this weekend, and golf Monday with a close cousin. Looking forward. Hapoy Friday all!!
  7. Eager to put this tester through its paces. It sure is pretty.
  8. Thank you @azstu324! Much appreciated, and very glad you love them.
  9. Cool setup! I thought about doing the same thing. Does the table move around on you any when tugging/pushing on grips? Thanks for sharing!
  10. My TS3 built to my playing specs arrives today. I figured, if I end up loving it and build a set, it will be ready to go. I am eager to give it a try. (Clearly, if I am posting about it before it arrives.) @azstu324 I am glad to hear you love the TS4s. I am curious about the TS4 also. Based on handicap and your score cited above, you are clearly a better golfer than me, but -- do you find it forgiving and workable? Is there another iron to which you would compare it? Thank you in advance.
  11. Good morning Spies! Wishing different kinds of success to @BKervin and @BIG STU today. It’s lesson day for me after a full workday. Looking forward. I wish you all fab days!
  12. Right now, everything in my bag is safe other than my irons. They are in serious peril, and have been put on notice that they will either be replaced or at least re-shafted. I blame a bad fitting (and probably a faulty early spring swing during the fitting).
  13. Good morning, Spies! Sitting having my coffee and watching James Robinson talk about MyGolfSpy! Pretty cool. We send our oldest off to Cincy for her summer internship today. It's only a 90-minute drive away, but still tough despite how exciting and positive it is for her. I wish everyone a great day!
  14. Date 05/24/2023 Course Name The Fort Gross Score 86 Course Handicap 11 Gross Strokes over/under par 14 Net Score to Par 3 Net Score 75 Net Birdies or better 5 Longest Drive 297 Hit the ball great but the hills and the bunkers and the very slow greens got me. It was an absolutely gorgeous day. Course was in good shape. This course should be re-evaluated because the slope and rating (for the white tees at least) seem too low.
  15. Good results with the GWX 50A with Rogue ST LS at 9°. Before I started experimenting with loft changes on hole 12 (which taught me not to do that anymore), I hit 6/8 fairways, the two misses were very playable, and I had 4 drives over 270 with a long of 297. Those are good numbers for me - particularly the consistency. The club feels very stable and not whippy at all, and the results are just what I was looking for. This may be the one for me. I’m pretty pumped about it. Thanks for all the great advice here.
  16. If you did not like your old shaft, and don't intend to change your driver head, then a fitting is a good place to start. If you don't want to get a fitting, then you could try this. I have not tried it myself but I trust the folks at Golfworks/Maltby. https://www.golfworks.com/find-a-golf-shaft-to-match-your-game/ Good luck to you!
  17. Good morning, Spies! I am almost as excited about the Paradym test as I would be if I was testing. Such a good group! I’m off to the gym and then a dental cleaning. Doesn’t that sound fun? Ha. I’m sure it will be fine. Wishing you all super days!
  18. Great group of testers! Congratulations! This will be very interesting, and I will watch with great interest. @azstu324 gets to do his Otto-Phlex test with the Paradym! Boom!
  19. Great looking clubs and super round!
  20. I ordered a TS3 7 iron to try. I really have a problem. Love this forum, but it’s not helping. Lol.
