  1. Timely review as I'm looking for a cooler for my new golf cart.  This one isn't going to work though.  Aside from the price it won't fit in the compartment where I want to put it.  I have a space about 12" x 8" x 20" in a compartment under the rear seat.  I think I need a true soft sided cooler bag rather than the rigid soft sided bag.

Have you thought about an insulated styrofoam shipping box? If its likely to stay in your cart then you can probably find one that's the exact size you want - and super cheap.

  2. Great work Rev - love that they're working out for you. Telling as well that they are performing as well or better than those professionally fitted to you - that they're in the same family helps I'm sure, but great to see some positives coming in such a short space of time... gotta love that.

    Be blessed brother

  3. This is the par-3 17th at Makaha Valley Country Club on the West side (Oahu, Hawaii) on Sunday just gone. Great views! OB left, water hazard right, sand and a giant gully behind the green. Looks straight forward, but judging the wind and elevation from this tee is always a bit of a guessing game.

  4. so you're telling me.jpg

    Are you...

    • falling out of love with your latest purchase...
    • looking to upgrade your gear but need to sell off what you have first...
    • worried that your ho-ing is getting out of control...
    • struggling to find space to store your new equipment because your ho-ing is out of control...
    • being forced to sacrifice some of your 'collection' to keep your marriage intact...
    • needing cash for green fees at a bucket list course...

If you are in any one of the categories above, then do consider listing your gear in the classifieds section. This is a FREE tool guys - there are no listing or success fees, and we do not monitor the classifieds with an iron fist! At present this is not being utilized to its full potential, and we'd like to see that change.

Almost all of us have some good used equipment that no longer has a realistic chance of seeing the bag again - so why not give it the flick, put a few dineros in the back pocket, and enable a fellow MGSer to grab a bargain.

Not sure where to start? Here's a few tips for listing equipment on the classifieds:

    • Take clear, high quality photos in natural light if possible (landscape with a width of 750px fit best on screens-  www.picmonkey.com is an easy-to-use FREE photo editor)
    • Be honest about any imperfections, and photograph them where possible (it's best for everyone if there are no surprizes)
    • Give a good, reasonably detailed description of the item for sale
    • Be realistic about the price. Do your research to have an understanding of what the item is worth, and remember there are no success fees for you as seller here.

If you have questions or need assistance with loading classifieds, feel free to private message me.

  5. Dave, if you're keen flick me a message a bit closer to tho time. I live on oahu and would be really keen for a round with another MGSer if you're keen?

Photo was from Royal Hawaiian Golf Course. Ko Olau is apparently pretty epic as well if you're up for a challenge...

  6. Hi Frank, firstly it's great that you've come in here to contribute to the discussion - hopefully that continues.

This is a golf forum though, and that means that this is a place where discussions are held and opinions are sought and offered - not just facts. Of all the forums around the place you'll find MyGolfSpy the least likely for anyone to, as you put it, "hide behind some avatar name to say something".

The question was asked whether the forum members would find it useful for the MyGolfSpy staff to review your product, and people gave opinions.

You used the quote - "knowing and not doing, ...is not knowing" - A piece of advice then as you clearly are unaware - People associate the practices of inventors/companies/staff with the value they place on the companies products (it is easy to lose potential customers attention through poor/questionable practices) ... Absolutely defend your product, but do it by building up your product and answering concerns, not attacking or tearing down the comments of those who have opinions/concerns about it.

  7. Like Salmon I initially came to the blog after searching for equipment reviews on google. Then I discovered the forum and the 'new content' button has become one of the first places I venture to in the mornings. The blog is still where I look for most review information, but the forums have become a great source of context and deeper understanding about all things golf (and not golf on occasion lol)
