  1. I was shocked, to be honest. Still can’t believe it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  2. I used to play there each time I went to work with a surgeon in Montgomery, and I’d stay right there at the exit. Mellow Mushroom pizza after each round!!!! Fun tracks for sure!
  3. As ZIPR23 texted me, “It’s about time something went your way.” Amen!!!!
  4. I play Pro V1X after years of playing TP5X. The major reason for even looking at Pro V1X was because of the MGS ball test. I tested the Pro V1X vs TP5X, Pro V, and Z Star XV, and Pro V1X won out. I play the yellow. Love them.
  5. Guess what, folks?! My $400 rangefinder was RETURNED to me today!!!!!!! It’s been a few weeks, and I had bought another rangefinder, thinking I’d never get it back. My buddy told me that the club had 108 golfers out there yesterday for a Shamble, and probably the person who turned it on hadn’t been there before then. Very cool!
  6. In watching this it becomes quite obvious how lucky we are to have so many cameras, and even shot tracer, during all of the other tournaments.
  7. Can’t. Hit. A. Green!!!!!! 33% again today, all misses were left. Man. I cannot find it at all right now. On the plus side, I putted GREAT! No three putts, 30 total for a 1.67 avg, which is my lowest in a LOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNG time. 85 (42/43) I need range work with my 9-LW!!!!!
  8. Net. Mat. 21 balls x 7. 8 iron. Lots of fat shots today. Ugh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  9. Spieth is a good one. In just five years his game has disappeared! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  10. Seems he fell hard. From #1 to nothing. Seems odd. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. Not saying now, just back then. Donald reached number 1 in the world, then, BOOM. Weir won the Masters, had a good couple years, then, BOOM. Ogilvy won some, then, BOOM. Look at how Ernie, and Phil, even Sergio have all stuck around. Just seems odd that there were golfers that were good for 4-5 years, top 10 ranked, then they disappeared. 12. In the last few days I’ve been watching golf from earlier in the 2000s, and even late 90s. Golfers like Geoff Ogilvy, Mike Weir, Luke Donald, etc were names that consistently were toward the top of leaderboards. What happened to those guys? Swing changes? Injuries? Health changes? Who are some golfers you don’t see much anymore, or even names from the past that kind of disappeared as time went on? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  13. Wow, and you missed 8 greens!!! Dang. Very cool! Congrats! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. I live that white Ogio bag!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  15. I’ve only hit them once during a fitting for shafts back in 2014. They were CB-501 and I loved them! Just couldn’t afford them! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  16. I sell mine to help buy new as well. It’s worth contacting the fitter about coming back and doing another evaluation. See if there’s a change, or an adjustment that could be made, like just a slight tweak of loft/lie, weighting, etc. Can’t hurt to ask, and cheaper than trying to figure it out on your own... My guys at CC would be more than happy to have me come back by to look at things. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  17. I was shocked to see a Miura review, from a former Spy, on Plugged-In Golf’s website that said the Miuras he tried didn’t feel great, and weren’t very forgiving . Shocked. First negative I’ve read!!!
  18. I was a tester for Ft Worth irons two years ago, and I reached-out to the guys at Hogan HW about coming-by. They said there isn’t much to see there, and kind of discouraged me from stopping. It may have changed by now, but it doesn’t hurt to just give them a call and see if they’re allowing visitors, when is best, and if you need an appointment. This is all you’ll see: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  19. You’re a real-life “Bionic Man”!!! Best wishes on continued success with the new knees!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  20. Anyone in this thread a “regular” at Gibson Bay in Richmond, KY???? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  21. I had been doing the same! Great thing was it transferred to the course very well!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  22. Wife went back to cutting hair yesterday, and it’s been raining, so I set-up the net inside the garage. I hate hitting in there, so I just did “L-to-L” shots working-on get the proper wrist action, and getting my right elbow tucked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  23. Here’s what I used to do for “free fittings”: 1. Call the local Country Clubs and ask if they have any upcoming demo-days. 2. Get on manufacturer sites and use the search function to find demo days. 3. Go to the closest “big-box” store and tell them you’re interested in a new driver and would like to go through various shafts while using a monitor. 4. Look online for companies like Sub70, Hogan Golf, etc, who have “demo programs” where they’ll ship you a club to try for a week. There are ways to try clubs for free, and see what your numbers look like between variously flexed shafts. There’s no way to tell you what will work best, you’re going to have to go and try some stuff to figure it out, and it can be done “on the cheap”. Keep in-mind, the ways I’ve mentioned above will GENERALLY involve just the “stock” shaft options, but it’s better than nothing. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
