  1. So was that an false start for the jags? Happy for them, but do feel bad for the chargers. I think they are probably the better team as a whole. What a good finish to the game though!
  2. I am going to nominate Tour Edge and the few others that use that one as the worst. I don't remember exactly but it uses a bit of a hybrid system that wasn't straight forward to figure out and was a little on the big side. I'll add that at the time we didn't sell as many, but just not one I enjoyed working with. Also not a huge knock, but the little window on cobra wasn't the most idea especially on wet and muddy conditions ans it was a pain to clean. However I did prefer theirs as far as simplicity.
  3. Once again as we have several new members joining and many getting right in and being active if you are curious about learning more about the MGS forum and getting more involved be sure to reach out and let me know about joining our Forum Focus Group. Lots of great discussion about different ideas which may or could come to the forum as well beta testing on different things that may come to the forum in the future. On that note if you don't want to join the focus group but still have ideas on what you would like to see come to the forum or any suggestions please don't hesitate to reach out and let anyone of the mod team know about it. We are hoping to have 2023 be a big year for the forum on all fronts. Member testing, MGS Virtual Tour, more OEM talks and zoom calls with HQ to get insider looks on what is happening and so so much more!
  4. Still looks like anyone can win here going into Sunday. Watched the highlights on Youtube and looked like a ton of scoring areas and what is the easiest hole by strokes gained on tour, which I found interesting. I am kinda pulling Putnam who had a good season last year. So many of these guys were waiver wire players last year in fantasy and to see them get a win early would certainly help their Fantasy Golf Roster Stock.
  5. And here i thought S was for standard. There is my something new for the day.
  6. The flat setting with ping is truly awesome. Now in wondering who may have the worst or one that is least liked by our membership?
  7. He was tired for first after round 1 no? He didn't have an incredible year but it was still really good last year. Certainly has come back well since when he was real deep in the woods.
  8. Moving the ball that far is going to do what you say in promote a increased AoA, but it is also going to have significant other implications on your swing with timing, start line and more. I'm afraid it isn't that simple and if i was too do that then the ball is going to be in front of my lead foot which is not good.
  9. Little late adding this, but a fun event to watch. Hideki is the reigning champ from last year and although not a stacked field this year still some solid contenders. Leaderboard headed into Saturday is as shows below: With some notables missing the cut such as Jordan Spieth after a second round 75, Gary Woodland (new cobra staffer) Webb Simpson, Sunjae Im, Keegan Bradley and Billy Horschel. Going to try and catch some Sunday action. Anyone else giving this a watch?
  10. Have any photos you can share of them?
  11. Started swimming lessons with the little guy. First day went really well for him and he has really taken to the water. It is really fun to be part of this and some great father son time which I really appreciate. I am a little sad that we will be missing one of the weeks, but we will also be in Disney for his first birthday so I think that is okay!
  12. Finally getting the chance to add to this one. Yes is the answer, without a doubt yes. Allyssa is an amazing mom and someone who doesn't give herself enough credit. We have taken quite a journey together as a couple and she has been beyond supportive and brave along the way. We moved to a new country where she had little chance to work because of language and has just been incredible the whole time. She has allowed me to follow my dreams and been right there with me along the way. She is a huge animal lover and we are so fortunate to have a growing family with our son Ivan, new baby (in June) and 3 dogs (Apollo, Oliver and Fender). All of this would not have been possible without her and I truly cannot thank her enough for joining me on this crazy ride and being the amazing supporting wife she has been.
  13. As an update on this I just havent had the time to play recently. Lots going on with work, family and forum. Thankfully come February things ease up and will be able to get back to some training and practice. Should be a bit dryer here then too which should allow for more rounds!
  14. Pretty sure I have about 29 different driver swings and about 15 different feels for a single swing. Never know what is going to feel better or work and can change day to day round to round. I can only imagine trying to consciously try have two distinct different swings would lead to absolute disaster. I'm sure some can do it just fine. However I'll try and work on my neutral solid single swing vs two different ones. Golf is hard enough as is.
  15. Sounds like the league should think about doing split tees or something to make it more appealing the everyone. Sorry if I missed this in a earlier post, but has it been brought to the league or has a request for potentially two divisions been made or anything along those lines?
  16. Glad to see you are doing this Rob. You've mentioned Sophies youtube reviews a few times the last few weeks and I believe when you do things like this (not joking) it really is for the good of the forum. Yes, we may joke around at the shear number of clubs you go through, but your experiences with them and how they perform and the stories behind your fittings as well as their on course appeal to your game is so relatable to many here on the forum. It will be great to see what comes out on top and what surprises are in store for you during this whole process. My vote is that Paradym wins out for you by a sliver over TSR1. At least that is what my gut says. Cobra in third, but you end up playing it the most during the testing period.
  17. Certainly has the most hype or buzz around it compared to any other that came out this year. Last year was for sure TM and the carbon face and now Callawy with carbon body. I am looking forward to seeing these in person.
  18. Something I like about these compared to my 659 TC is how low the bottom groove is. It isn't a huge deal, but the 659 TC almost looks like it is missing a half groove or the grooves are a half groove higher than they were supposed to be. Also the white line is bottom groove is something I do like as well.
  19. Looks like we will have enough for close to 5 divisions! Great to see. I will be sending out invite links next week and will start working on divisions etc this weekend. We will keep signups open right to the very end so if you know of anyone who wants to join or are reading this post in a week don't worry it is still open to get in. Just post in this thread letting us know that you are interested. Final details will be worked out over the coming week as well.
  20. Good possibility? However would be great if you could get to a shop and try it out to see how it works. Recommending shafts on SS alone is so difficult as there are so many factors that come into it. That being said on paper it "should" be a good fit.
  21. I was all excited that I would get some range time in today with the weather being a slight bit less wet and although I do have to work all day (heading into work in about 10 minutes and have an event going on all day ending at 11pm) but normally games are 2 hours between games so that would have left me about a hour for the range. Unfortunately after double checking the game schedule they are shortened games so only last about a hour and a half which is still possible, but kills the time greater making it too rushed. So sadly have to wait till sometime next week instead!
  22. I believe it was the title and a overly eager anti spam filter that caused the issue. I went back and corrected it and changed the title as well as corrected the account. Apologies!
