  1. No idea, however I'd venture to guess they don't do it for the money given the state of the game at their level. More about getting things better so all the best are on one tour vs split.
  2. Well we finally got some snow. Ranges and some courses still open tho. Dogs love it!
  3. Test showing guys how a reported post goes up and you are too quick!
  4. Likely have you in the second Division! Will confirm this evening!
  5. Not surprising since the new aero jet has come out now unfortunately.
  6. I often miss these threads because I'm Europe based so from all the way here welcome!
  7. That's what I figured. As mentioned it's a rumor mill website that always has click bait titles and often not worth the read, but I do still hope it rings true.
  8. Love this thread and for me I think I certainly have some bias towards varies brands for various reasons and even within the different areas of their lineups. Example Callaway I have always liked and enjoyed their drivers, but not so much their irons or wedges. I have tried them, but just didn't really get on with them. Ping - Love it all and would happily play a full bag. Sub70 - Irons I am a huge fan of and can say I am a sub70 fanboy. Cobra - Another brand I really like and there is very little they come out with that I am not super excited for. Mizuno - Falls in a similar category, however irons more vs woods. The woods I am very meh on. Titleist - They are slowly taking over my bag. I had not really got on with many of their clubs and felt very neutral about them. However got my Tsi3 and my whole perception flipped to falling in love with them. Taylormade - Honestly pretty neutral. I like the P760 and p770 and I have wanted to like their long clubs, but in the end it feels like a lot of hype so I am pretty selective in my love for them. Wilson honestly is a meh. They don't excite me so I don't have any strong feelings or opinions on them. Similar can be said for Tour Edge. Putters are a different world. Huge fan of Odyssey, Evnroll and Ping... but I am more shape specific and I will be honest Scotties don't do a whole lot for me. Srixon - I love the golf balls. Irons I haven't hit and I am more impressed based off all of your opinions vs my own. I really like DTC brands. They have hit a sweet spot with me and I want to try and own them all. There are few brands I would say I have a bias against, but if there was one that it would be the most against it would be TM as for the bias towards without question I am in favour of Ping clubs above all.

  10. I think the hybrid is what jumped out to me. I would try the carbon driver as well. I kinda hope these help gain some traction and with the other 2nd tier releases still to come we will be able to see how these stack up!
  11. MGS Blog Article: Wilson Staff Dynapower Irons Can't forget about the irons! WILSON STAFF DYNAPOWER IRONS – KEY TAKEAWAYS Wilson revives a classic tech name for 2023. Game-improvement irons designed by AI $799.99 in steel, $899.99 in graphite Presale Feb 22; at retail March 1
  12. MGS Blog Full Article: Wilson Staff Dynapower Drivers, Fairways and Hybrids A lineup likely to be overlooked by many and one that I am intrigued by. I don't see a lot of Wilson products around, but I will admit that if I do see them I am going to be excited to give them a try and see how they work for me. — Nearly 70 years after Wilson Sporting Goods Co. redefined expectations around power and distance in the iron category, the company today announced the re-launch of its Dynapower franchise. The complete equipment line includes adjustable drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons that will be available for pre-order on Wednesday, Feb. 22. “Dynapower changed the game of golf seven decades ago and it’s time for Wilson to do it again,” said Tim Clarke, President, Wilson Golf. “These powerful irons and adjustable drivers are built with our legendary history in mind as we continue to innovate and deliver top-of-the-line products that raise the confidence of golfers at all skill levels. Our technology is second-to-none and we’re extremely proud of this new line of Dynapower products.” In 1956, Wilson introduced the original Dynapower iron and its patented bore-through hosel design that revolutionized weight distribution. By drilling weight out of the hosel, Wilson was able to redistribute weight directly behind the hitting area for more power. The 2023 Dynapower irons build on this same weighting concept to redefine distance. Using exclusive Dynapower A.I. modelling, Wilson analyzed thousands of permutations to identify the perfect variable thickness option for each section of the face to make more of the clubface hot, especially center-to-toe where approximately 85 percent of shots are hit. New for 2023 is the family of Dynapower adjustable drivers, fairway woods and hybrids. New Dynapower drivers are available in two high performance options – Carbon or Titanium – each offering thousands of custom fit settings. Complementary fairway woods and hybrids round out the offering, all available in men’s and women’s options. Dynapower Carbon Driver Highlights: ● Neutral bias, low-spin head design: The adjustable Dynapower Carbon driver was designed for tour caliber performance. Carbon panels on the crown and sole help produce a lower spinning, mid-launch ball flight that allows maximum workability and maximum distance. ● Dynamic face thickness: The PKR2 dynamic face thickness is optimized over the extended area of the clubface to power faster ball speeds. ● Dynamic one-click hosel adapter: The new six-way adjustable hosel allows players to change their loft and spin in a matter of seconds. ● Pricing: Dynapower Carbon Driver: $499.99 Dynapower Titanium Driver Highlights: ● Neutral-to-draw bias, High MOI head design: The new Dynapower Titanium driver was designed to deliver tour-level power with maximum forgiveness. A 16-gram rear weight helps produce a high MOI driver head with a deep, rear CG that delivers forgiving, mid-to-high launch angles with a neutral-to-draw bias. ● Dynamic face thickness: The PKR2 dynamic face thickness is optimized over the extended area of the clubface to power faster ball speeds. ● Dynamic sixone-click hosel adapter: The new six-way adjustable hosel allows players to change their loft and spin in a matter of seconds. ● Pricing: Dynapower Titanium Driver: $429.99 Dynapower Fairway Woods Highlights: ● Dynapower Fairway Woods feature rear weighting and variable face thickness to deliver the fastest ball speeds over the entire face for higher, soaring ball flight. ● High MOI head design: Dynapower fairway woods features a 12-gram rear weight to produce a stable, high MOI club head that delivers forgiving, higher launch angles. ● Advance, tour-inspired head shape: Tour player testing resulted in a flatter profile for a clean setup behind the ball. ● Pricing: Dynapower Fairway Woods: $249.99 Dynapower Hybrids Highlights: ● Dynapower Hybrids showcase a low center of gravity (CG) and variable face thickness to deliver easy-to-launch ball flight, precise distance and tour-player preferred, flatter profile for a confident setup. ● High MOI head design: Internal weighting positions the CG low and back to produce a high MOI clubhead for more forgiveness and higher launch angles. ● Advance, tour-inspired head shape: Tour player testing resulted in a flatter profile for a clean setup behind the ball. ● Pricing: Dynapower Hybrids: $219.99 The Dynapower clubs are available for pre-sale on Wilson.com starting Wednesday, Feb. 22 and at select retail locations beginning March 1. 13. I think that is a big part of it. I am hopeful that it will bring some new eyes to the sport and hopefully along with it a new generation that really get into golf. It will be interesting how many of the golfers are portrayed and if we notice some of the bad clips or cuts that those who watched F1 were able to pick out in drive to survive.
  14. Missed this, but I ended up with a Evenflow Black in mine. Hindsight I wish I had gone with the Tour CB from Ping in the crossover. I think it would have been a better fit, but no doubt that the black allows you to really go after it and not have any hesitation!
  15. Will they do a Callaway Custom for them as they have done for other models? Also other than saying all three what is your favorite model of the bunch? Not necessarily the one you were fit for, but what one stands out the most?
  16. Quite enjoyed the newer Peter Finch Rough Cut podcast. I am a Finch fan, but he has a good crew with him and sounds good. The video with it is nice as well for those who want to enhance the experience. They go over a ton of topics and yeah props to them good listen!
  17. Very well could be. I also have read that many players (amateurs) just simply don't know how to use bounce properly. I have two ping glide wedges with their eye sole and I believe that is stated 8 degrees of bounce, but given its weird nature it can play many different ways. I would almost look at the leading edge and how that is presented as well. I also wonder how many actually get wedge fittings or know about the different soul types vs looking at the back and badge and just go I like the look of that and get that? All to say I couldn't say for sure, but I think you are onto something about set lob wedges.
  18. Can't believe I missed this thread! Thanks for sharing these stories and experiences. Glad you guys had fun with your round and some good weather! Can't wait to hear more and hope both of your games see further improvement! Also love that you add in photos. Make it such a cool thread to read and go through and am definitely following from here on.
  19. Put the phone away last night and this morning till I finished up work and wow had a lot of catching up to do with 30 notifications and a lot of reading to do! Great to see, but also enjoyed a nice quiet night with no phone or computer with the family.
  20. Sorry to hear about this. It does suck, and there have been stories from many having who have had to wait way way too long for clubs. I guess it is worth asking if other than them being 1 flat if there was something special about the clubs you ordered? If not maybe there is a possibility of getting in in shop set and just having them bent 1 flat?
  21. I did hear about that on the NLU pod. They did make a good point in that the game has changed a lot and there is a new commissioner that needs to make changes and listen to the players so hopefully it is more of a case that they have more pull now vs when they did years before.
