  1. Yes of course the majority is great. Additionally those certain members have been reached out to. Bottom line a large portion of our job is moderation. This is just that and us checking in to make sure things don't cross any lines which they shouldn't.
  2. Simply bringing up concerns of members who have reached out. So yes pertinent to the discussion.
  3. Speculation on driver and no golf ball equipment. We all know the golf ball is being rolled back. Even if we don't know the exact figures and to what extent outside of the proposal.
  4. I have yet to see a press release on official changing equipment in terms of drivers, club head size and more. Mike Whan has said much more of the opposite during interviews saying it would have a longer term snowball effect on every other club making it essentially a non starter. The rest is speculative.
  5. As I have got a few notifications about this thread getting a little contentious. A few things please for all to remember, this is at least 6 years away from happening. While a passionate topic and debate point, try not to burn yourself out in the first few months. There is only speculative data and there will be a lot more information to come in the coming months and years. While there has been speculation about other parts of golf being changed, it is just that speculation and lets keep the pitchforks in the garage until there is official word. Finally its the holidays, enjoy them, be happy for the high flying long distance golf balls you have under the tree or in a stocking and enjoy the time with friends, family, alone or whatever suits you. The rollback discussion will be here for years to come, enjoy this time of year and hopefully for many you can get out to the course or sim for some good fun!
  6. Great write-up so far! Curious about the spin rates for future tests. 1600 is really low and I would imagine a difficult playing spin rate. Do you like that low spin rate or are you hoping to see it get to the 2000 range? Looking forward to your insights and to see how it all pans out for you!
  7. Good morning all! Start of the holiday here!
  8. Not too far... But then again not much is that far in Europe haha
  9. Provided the tester reads all instructions and follows the template/guidelines and communicates with us regarding deadlines there isn't much of an issue. Unfortunately some ppl have a really hard time reading and following basic instructions!
  10. It was definitely more crammed this season then we would have preferred, but we had a bit of a late start as well. I expect it all to flow a little better this season. Unfortunately we had several reviews which were not completed or fell well short or our expectations. Meaning those testers will either not ever be back or it will be some time. When the mods have more posts in a thread then testers (which the mods are not participating in) it's a telling story for us. Thankfully we still have many good and great testers. We took some chances here and there when we felt we could or needed to and some paid off some didn't. We are revamping a little bit with a call prior with testers, a new T&C's form which must be completed prior to full acceptance. Bottom line if a tester is not meeting expectations we will have no issues pulling the plug and having them forward the equipment to a new tester. This will be done at their expense. And trust me we are persistent with this.
  11. I think we ended at 43. We kinda turned the page to 2024 already as reviews finishing in 2024 we consider 2024 tests. 2024 will be a different year and we won't see as many tests. Or we may have similar, but it will be spread out more to have a less chaotic nature. We may have some larger companies, but we found great stride and home with many of the lesser known and up and coming brands. This is an area I want to take advantage of more once again. Tests will also not just be the reviews... There will be more on this soon. Requirements are going to be more significant than ever as well. Our expectations are a lot higher and we will be asking a lot more of our testers moving forward. Also our testing pool was pretty darn thin at the end which has also influenced our decisions on number of future tests. As that trusted pool grows so can potential opps. As that shrinks so will tests. I am still a believer in one main test per member per season. This is not a place just for free sh**. More to come but it will be another great season!

  23. Sure, however not everyone has that luxury or knowledge base and is simply asking for a starting point. Rather than commenting nobody can help, offering a suggested start point or even thought (which is valuable) will at least lead to discussion to helping them get an answer or area for them to try. Just saying we can't help stunts conversation and it would be better off to just leave no response.
