  1. In the 23 years I have been playing I have had 6 sets of irons. with only 1 set being in the bag less than 2 years.. So I would say about every 5 years or so..
  2. Well for 3rd round of the season. I think an 87 is great. Opened with a front 9 40. Back 9 had the wheels come off a little with 3 doubles. But finished strong with a nice quadruple bogey on 18.. wind was a big factor. We got the wind from the storm@Kennyb got as we got to the back 9.. had a great day. Just a little sore this morning.. 3. I mark mine with 1 blue dot off the right side of the Manufacturers name. That's it. And Like @Tsmithjr9, when putting i turn the ball so I see nothing but white for no distraction.
  4. Not a club but SWMBO and i bought our VIP cards to a course we play alot in E. Washington. $200 ea. it gives us 2 free rounds of golf, 2 hours in the Full swing Simulator, and 1/2 price green fees for a year.. After 6 rounds it'll pay for itself and then rounds are $37.00 including cart.. so Hopefully we will get to use it enough to pay for itself.. we usually buy them in Feb. after the golf show, they run a special around then and you can get the same deal for $179.. But it makes us play at least 6 rounds.. LOL oh gee darn...
  5. @Kenny B, I like that Photo alot.. Wish I had it in my collection, it would be printed and on the wall.. Godspeed my friend...
  6. I dont even pick up Top Flights or Pinnacles for any reason.. But I have a new contender........ Warrior Golf balls.. OMG , my Father in law got a putter and wedge from them and they sent him some balls. HOLY crap they make range balls feel decent,...These balls are pure junk. I was afraid to use my driver as I didn't want to smash the face in, that's how bad the felt..
  7. Got in my 2nd round of the year Sat. It was much better but score does not reflect How good.. I went 52 44 for a 96.. Lost 3 balls, but pretty sure someone picked up 2 of them, since I could see where they should have been but when I got there they were not there.. I took my penalties.. I also had 2 puts that literally hung over the lip of the cup.. Course was in amazing shape, my game on the other hand was still a little off.. but had a great time...
  8. Got in my 1st real round of the year.. OMG, Becky.. was it ever terrible. I was on the wrong side of a hundred for the 1st time in a long time. I struck the ball VERY well at times.. it was mostly my driving the failed.. I lost 4 balls in the 1st 4 holes.. I went 58 43.. I went driver 4 hybrid into a 478 par 5.. wind pushed it pin high to the right. So i felt so much better after the back 9, and a couple beers. Hopefully today will fair much better.. 11:04 tee time.. 9. Ok pretty Simple.. I'm retired the minute the money is in my account. My mom and in laws would be debt free.. I would Give my brother 1 million, and tell him don't ask. Nieces each would get 100k.. I have 2.. Sister in law 1 mil.. and 1 mil to each of my best friend and my wife's.. Got to have people to enjoy life with.. Buy a few hundred acres in eastern Wash that I can hunt, golf, ride dirt bikes.. ect.. possibly buy a course and live the good life.. I actually Know a guy who won, only 5 mill but still.. 1st thing he did was order a new Vette. took his whole crew to Vegas, gave each 1500 plus room and airfare. Bought a new house and furnishings. And set his niece and nephew up with a trust ( he has no kids).. and retired after he got all his medical tests complete and a couple of small things fixed.. but he was not doing much until he retired.. LOL
  10. HOLY CRAP What is that thing on the wall between the club rack and the head covers?? IS that some sort of torture device?? It looks like a phone only way bigger and that curly thing on it??? LOL I am so glad someone else still has a land line... Oh wait does it work?
  11. My name is @Jmikecpa and I have a problem.. LOL.. You have more Putters on the top shelf than I have even owned.. I am Still using the second putter I got Almost 20 years ago.. Somehow ended up with a couple Ping putters but never really took to them.. But do you have a crystal Putter??? I was given one when I graduated College.. but it's not something to Use..
  12. Nice plan, I wish I could.. looks like I might be able to play mothers day weekend.. that will be the soonest...
  13. Welcome everyone. Glad to see new locals.. Enjoy, and make yourself at home..
  14. Got a text this morning from good friend.. his game has been struggling lately his handicap was as low as 18 but has crept up to the mid 20's the last couple of years.. His Text read's and I quote. "I was just thinking... I think my golf game may have turned the corner... I haven't lost a ball since October!!!" That made me smile I hope it does you also.. Have a great day and stay safe..
  15. Well the PVC tubing was a bust. At 10X10X10 the tubing bowed not just the top horizontal tubes the vertical tube also bowed under the weight. Causing the whole thing to tilt off to one side. That was in dry conditions with no wind. I was afraid that once the netting got wet that the whole thing would collapse.. So back in the box it went. I'll have to figure out something sturdier that won't break the bank..
  16. This was a tough one for me as I have done all of these.. I chose drive a par 4 in 1. There is something about turning a par 4 effectively into a par 3 that is very satisfying..
  17. I would much rather be on the course but that doesn't look promising anytime soon.. I'll have it up this weekend and will Post pictures..
  18. I think I'm going to try the 11/4" pvc . Shattering is what I'm most worried about.. Any ideas besides the pool noodle to help prevent breakage?
  19. @THEZIPR23, with your hitting net did you ever have issues with hitting the PVC tubing? I have a 10x10x10 hitting cage/net I'm going to put up, and I'm thinking of the PVC since it is so cheap.. but wonder about durability.. I have also thought about putting Pool noodles around the poles in case of errant hits.. since the kids and wife will be using it also..
  20. For those locally that don't know Western Washington is losing another great course.. Eaglemont Golf course in Mount Vernon is closed. I found out about this, this weekend. It was/is a great course with majestic views of the Cascade Mountains and the Puget sound. On a clear day you could see out to the San Juan islands. and true gem now gone.. you can read their statement on the link below... https://www.eaglemontgolf.com/
