This is what it suggested I go with as well. What are your initial thoughts on the driver?

And I totally understand the shaft conundrum. It took me so long to find a shaft I really liked for my current driver. A lot of trial and error (and $$).

I love it and agree completely. I had this happen to me recently during a fitting for a 3 wood. The fitter was pushing me towards a Callaway Rogue and a Taylormade M4 and I had to push really hard to try the Ping and the Cobra F8. I wonder if there are kickbacks or something that causes that. I tried the F8 dialed it to 16 degrees and boom perfect shots no more than 7 yards offline and averaging 243 yards. And it even works on the course. I never would have tried the F8 if it wasn't for MGS and the Cobra Connect challenge in the forum.

I like my Srixon z765 that Truefit recommended but I think I need a heavier shaft

My son finishes up his first week of the red phase in basic training tomorrow (Friday) and we have yet to receive the Commander's letter.     He arrived on base 8/28 and was in processing until last Friday 9/27. Once we get the Commander's letter all the good info will be available like Company facebook pages with pictures, family day, and graduation dates. You also know who's in your soldiers Company so you can bond with the parents going through the same cycle.   Just ranting and you'd think I was an ole Mother Hen..

Absolutely, I'm shocked and excited that TGF worked so well, I didn't have the chance to try the Mizuno driver (not a fan of the blue anyways) but the F8+ looked GREAT behind the ball. Also I'm excited for the next clubs on TGF

@Acatalano32 - that would be over the generic average driver in the data base if I understand the system properly (I was in the Beta test group.)  Depending on if  you were fit for your current driver and or whether it's the proper driver for your swing type - you may have come in and been forced into a brand or you wanted a brand and so the fitter just locked into it - keeping in mind those factors you may gain more or less over the numbers listed.

@the MGS community or anyone else checking in here I played with my friend Dennis on Sunday.  Dennis has been using a ten year old Nike Driver.  He was wanting to buy a new driver months ago.  He was certainly going to buy it on line without a fitting.  Dennis is a tall, lanky, fit 55 year old who has brought his handicap down from 22 to 14 over the past 5 years.  If he ever could get his course management under control he has the potential to get it lower than that.  He hits the ball a mile - if I were estimating his SS I would say high 90's to low 100's but with a negative AoA and moderate transition.  So that's what he put into trufit.  It spit out the M3 440 head as his first choice.  So he asked me about shaft flex - I told him stiff.

We play together every other Sunday afternoon and in a Tuesday night league that has ended for the season.  Another words we play together a lot, I know more about his game than he does.  His average drive is between 240 and 250.  We used my Swing Caddie to measure swing speed and carry distance on Sunday (carry distance and driving distance were nearly identical as there is currently no roll on our courses.)  His swing speed was between 97-107 and carry distance 245-268.  He hit several drives to places I had not seen him reach before.  Our guess was that he has picked up 20 yards, easy.  Additionally he had a very consistent ball flight - a nice fade, once we get the weighting adjusted properly, which he had lost and has always been his best and most consistent shot off the tee.

I do think that trufit is a great tool for getting people into the proper driver type for their swing particularly if the user can understand that there is no one best driver but there is a best driver for them.  Different brands have different theories on how to make the ball go - the theories aren't wrong because there is more than one way to skin a cat - you need to recognize that Callaway is for you but not for me and my swing type, that Taylor Made may be the longest but it's rarely going to be the most accurate, that Cobra, Ping or Mizuno may launch higher with more spin and then figure out what your swing needs.  Trufit does that for you for $7.

    Great value!

It is a beautiful design and very demanding not really off the tee but approach shots have a slim margin for error. I dont know if that is his normal feature or not. I havent played Sawgrass yet but it is on my before i leave Jacksonville list.

Well i had a rough day at Omni on Amelia Island. Played from the tips at 6600 yards. Pete Dye is an insane course designer and this was my first experience playing one of his courses. It was tough. I had 3 penalties and landed in a bunch of greenside bunkers. I hit some really good shots but my putting was poor again and some of my irons were off which ended up in the water. All in all i say my game is trending upward like in the wrong direction. I think its time for a lesson to get things back on track. I believe this happened to me last year. I have shot 87 and 90 my last two rounds.

Pete Dye courses are a "treat" we have one in the area that is ranked one of the 50th toughest in the US. I've played it several times. Usually 8 or 9 so so holes. Maybe 3 or 4 really good holes then 5 or 6 that make you wish golf was as 12 hole sport.
TPC Sawgrass is probably the most difficult course I've ever played. Or Black Wolf run. Both Dye courses.

Score-wise, I had my worst round of the season.  But I had some great company.  I was joined by downlowkey and PokeForeLyfe!  Both are really good players, and we had a great time despite my struggles off the tee.

From left to right:  Tod (local friend of mine), PokeForeLyfe, HighFade, and Downlowkey

I have no idea how, but this putt did not drop

    Yeah, these guys can play

It's called Pelican Lakes (Oh, now I get it)

Poke is pointing to my ball somewhere in the deep rough.  again

Lots of math going on here

And the winner is......downlowkey.  Don't spend it all in one place

Thanks for a great time, fellas.  We should do it again!

So I am just sitting here after my round and I am just thinking wow. I think the TrueGolfFit algorithm is amazing. Take this in to consideration if you are on the fence about whether to use or not. It suggested a driver that I would never hit. I mean if I went into Dick's or PGA Superstore...I would never pick the Srixon Z765 to try. I just wouldn't...its nothing personal I just wouldn't do it. It probably has to do with tour presence or marketing I mean I never hear about it. I heard about Srixon drivers only on MGS Most wanted testing. I tried it and wow. I don't have a high swing speed ok let's get that straight. I tried it on the range before my round and I was launching it a tad bit too low. So I dialed it up a degree and then was hitting some great drives. I do lose it to the right when I get quick in transition but I can fix that with more range time. Do you know how great it felt to smash a drive with perfect trajectory that ended up at 322 yards in length? (according to 18 birdies) I felt like a freaking rock star pga tour pro...I even whipped out my phone and immediately posted in the thread. This dang TrueGolfFit is freaking magic. Ok I don't know which MGS staffer developed this or thought of this (looking at you Adam and Tony) but I could hug you right now and I wouldn't feel the slightest bit weird about it. You guys are truly on to something that could change every single golfer's lives. Keep up the great work. This is revolutionary!!!!!
