  1. After trial and error with some other golf shoes. I bought the mgs spikeless shoe winner in the adidas xt 360.
  2. Back in the market for golf shoes. I did keep the one pair of Jordan ADG that I have not tried yet, so may try those. Tongue is a little long and hits my shin and is a bit uncomfortable. Tried the Footjoy Premiere for two rounds and my heel just slips out too much. Tried the smaller size, but they are too tight. Tried on the Adidas XT 360 and they were extremely comfortable so may get a pair of those. Just not sure yet. Also hit the TSi3 again and had really good numbers and extremely tight dispersion. 17 yards from left to right after 8 shots. 274 average carry with 298 total and 2750 spin. Definitely something to consider.
  3. A bit concerned. After playing Monday, my game and swing has just felt a little off. I stubbed a few pitches during the scramble and hit several big draws (usually a small fader of the ball). Tried to just get the swing in sync today and not do anything crazy. Still felt off and my touch by the greens was off all day as well. Hoping I can get the timing back somewhat, but it's almost like my body has lost the feel and rhythm of my swing for a moment.
  4. You'll get there soon - were only in May so plenty of time left. Nice round overall.
  5. Agree - tough to beat them for the price and quality you get. Haven't tried the Kirkland ones to compare as they just brought out the Lefty (right hand) gloves that I would wear.
  6. Not the best start for TSi1 for the test, but looking forward to following along and reading your thoughts.
  7. Played yesterday in a scramble at a fairly difficult country club nearby. Tips are around 76 course rating and even the whites were over par for course rating. A lot of forgettable shots and did not feel comfortable with my game or swing for most of the day. Put together a few decent shots throughout the round and we finished -10, which was fair. Notable shot was a driving the green on the par 4 340 yard 5th hole to around 30 feet. Did not make the eagle effort but tap in birdie.
  8. Agree - some of the chips/pitches he's hit thus far have been terrible. Hoping he is starting to get a feel for the greens and might make a few. He's not hit any long putts this week.
  9. Very rarely - I'll find a setting they tweak to in a fitting and usually leave that until I have a few rounds where I'm off. It will take a lot for me to actually adjust. Even though my normal drive is a fade and a draw setting could straighten me out a bit, I don't like seeing a closed face at address. Right now I'm in neutral with a little added loft.
  10. If we are talking about playing the video game, EA Sports Tiger Woods, it could happen.
  11. No chance Brandel signed off on this. I don't watch live from that often before play. At times before a big tournament and in the evenings, but not that often. Play starts at 11am, so plenty of golf to watch. Should be an exciting day and I hope Phil can keep his composure and game sharp.
  12. That's my same thought. I still like my irons, but have tried some other shafts that just feel better to me overall. Make my swing feel more repeatable if that makes sense. Maybe it's all in my head.
  13. So you're telling me there's a chance! Can't say I told you so as I'm as surprised as anyone.
  14. Do you wait another couple months for the MP 22 though?
  15. A tale of two nines. Struck the ball well but just couldn’t keep it together. Unsure why I didn’t continue to trust my swing on the back 9. I had one bad drive that I got quick on and pulled and after that it was downhill. I was 2 over through 13 holes with 4 birdies and finished the last 5 holes at +7 with double double bogey par bogey bogey for a 43 on the back and a 38 on front. Still better than Cameron Tringale yesterday at the PGA where he went +13 over the last 5 holes. Front 9 I think I hit every fairway and most greens. Was on the fringe for a couple so it didn’t technically count but was putting. Get to play in a scramble on Monday and again Friday so looking forward to that.
  16. Long way to go - but I've been jogging the past couple weeks and beginning to notice more confidence and strength while running.
  17. Rolled the Ping Kushin 4 and Tyne 4 models the other day in the store and I must say that the weight and look are very nice. The Tyne was a bit hotter for some reason and I found myself hitting a few feet longer for some reason. Both are for a strong arc, which I only have a slight arc to my stroke. Really wanted to give the fetch model a try, but they did not have one in stock for left handed. Classic design and I like the simple black with white alignment aid that really popped.
  18. Good to know - will definitely keep that in mind. It didn't rule them completely out for me as I really enjoyed the Z785's as well and could have easily went with those opposed to the Mizuno's I ended up with.
  19. I'll likely be in the market later this year/next year. Will be moving from my Mizuno MP 18 SC. On the fence since I'm a Lefty, I don't think Mizuno offers the split cavity any longer which I really enjoy. I'll do the club champion fitting most likely to have all shafts/heads available and do my best to diary everything afterwards. I hit the ZX7's for the first time yesterday and was a bit underwhelmed by the feel compared to my current gamers. The shaft was not the right fit either with a modus 120 stiff, my numbers were not optimal. I'll give them another run, but through about 20 shots, I didn't think, "I have to have these". I actually liked the Callaway irons I hit the other day at a demo day a bit better.
  20. Just bought another 4 Rhoback polos. Absolutely love the quality and wear them nonstop. Pricier than I would normally spend on a polo, but the amount of wear I get from them justifies it for me.
  21. Played a few holes today - thought I had more time, but my 2.5 year old wasn't feeling well so I had to leave early and go pick him up from the sitter. The holes I did play were very positive. Did not hit a fairway, but had a consistent ball flight and miss and just was off to the left most of the time (fade for me). I had a chip in on a difficult par 3 for birdie and 2 great par saves from 8 feet. Overall through 7 holes, I was even par. Hopefully he is feeling better by Friday and I can get out for a full 9 holes.
  22. Happy Birthday to a couple legends.
  23. I can't offer a lot here, but I can give kudos to the Titleist hybrids. I've got 818H2 in a 2 and 3 hybrid and have enjoyed hitting them. Misses are much smaller for me compared to a fairway wood and distance has been consistent. I've been through about 3 fittings since getting them and nothing comes close to beating them out. I paired mine with a nice mid launch mid spin shaft - Tensei Blue and haven't looked back.
  24. I worked on something similar today as well. My angle of attack is awful with driver (negative 4-6 degrees). As you can imagine it also increases my spin numbers greatly and I lose distance. Trying to stay back and a the club to come up into the ball. Problem is I keep drawing or pulling my tee shots when trying to do this. I was on the SkyTrak so I can confirm that my spin and launch angle were both better, but direction was not. Need to keep working on this. Possibly get a lesson as I don't want to adjust my swing on the fly without a pga pro giving it a look.
