  1. What Sam said. Your right wrist / hands dominate the downswing and prevent your left wrist from hinging. Positives...your swing plane is super super good man. This should be a very easy fix on a path to some much better ball striking.
  2. Rainy weekend for Rochester means early golf and coffee. I'm gonna take a shot and say DJ posts a 65 today.
  3. This July hasn't been the most golf-optimal weather; it's been pouring rain like it's April. Indoor wedge work...I have an area rug in the back sunroom that's good for tight lie chipping. Working on some ball contact and trying to hit some 6' chips. No broken windows yet!
  4. Exactly. The cavity already frames the ball, simple is nice.
  5. I tend to agree with that...they definitely know their putters...I would love to see a Rossie with no alignment marks, just a clean head.
  6. 71/97 Yesterday I was 96/97 so improvement! Good luck to the guys who are good at this (not me)
  7. I was going to share a story but I think this ship has sailed... Have a weekend everybody...
  8. AHHHH! I'm a 6.4 trending up to a 6.8 and I've dropped close to 3 grand on clubs this year...I'm including myself as well
  9. Dope...what did you pick? Another Atmos?

    Do you watch Battlestar Galactica?
  12. There are plenty of guys on Tour who are pains in the rear with their club specs and rightfully so. Just look up Bubba and his 14 layers of tape… When you consider how competitive it has become, I would want my tools to be absolutely precise. I mean, we have 9 handicaps on this forum who tinker with clubs as much as some Tour players. At the end of the day, Cobra signed him knowing full well what he was all about.
  13. Ok, which one of your members is having an affair with the superintendent's wife?
  14. More work with the driver this morning at the range. Trying to hit toe / heel and high toe balls. I've found that this SIM2, unlike my LST flies better with center face strikes. The LST would fly when I could catch it just up and towards the toe while this is more of a lower / center strike driver. I still can't turn it over with any R-L topspin. I can hit a closed face pull but the draws and hooks are not happening and that is fantastic.

Floated out to a different firehouse for this month and my partner is also a big foodie. I channeled Tony Bourdain this evening and the London episode of Parts Unknown. It was a tribute to his meal with Marco Pierre White, a simple fish & chips and mushy peas. And Even made Marco's childhood favorite, chip butty. So. Good. I had to run 3 miles after dinner just to work it off
  18. It's fascinating, the total body & mind control that these guys have. There are good players and then there are guys who can just harness their mind to focus in on certain motions within the swing to create perfect mechanics.
  19. There was a video of Justin Thomas warming up on the range from a few months ago that I saved on my IG. He grabs a 52* wedge and takes a very deliberate but controlled backswing, pauses and then casually but purposefully swings through the ball. Simpler terms, it's a tempo drill. I started on an 80 ball bucket by hitting 15 with my 56 just doing this drill while aiming at a 70 yard target. Never done this before and of all the swings I made today, these were some of the best. Sometimes simpler is better. I'll continue doing this for future practice and rounds.
  20. Thx dude...next will be playing around with where to hit it on the face and to see what I can get out of it. I loved favoring a little closer to the toe on my LST for a high straight ball so we'll see how that works with this head.
  21. Also to add...I am a 112-116 SS guy and the X is just right. I toyed with the idea of a TX but this setup at 60X is just right.
