There is an inverse relationship between focusing on swing drills and how I play on the course. Since going Gankas my irons feel so much more solid. They’re also taking the right side of the course out of play and that’s been difficult. My cut that I rely on isn’t there anymore and I’m really trying to find out how hard I want to push. Played early today and shot 84 with 4 lost balls. Balls that all went left into hazards / OB.

Dead serious. I helped out with my nephews (8 years old) last fall. 3/5 coaches for opposite team had pants cleats and jerseys on the bench. It was pathetic…and it’s real. Lots of unresolved personal conflict going on there.

That’s a steal of a deal. Even the tightest of tight would pay for that. We had an older, ten year guy who earned the name seagull, maybe I’ve told this before but these posts remind me of him and I love to remember that cheap cheap cheap guy. He would always eat on his own and sure as the sun rising, after we went to bed he’d be in the fridge eating our leftovers. Once we caught on we started putting seagulls on his locker and the nickname stuck…switched groups during the next bid to escape it. Good news was, that name stuck. Still brings his own meals though.

I've had this same experience with a set of Nike Pro Combo irons. The 9 just felt tinny and awful while the entire set was pure sauce. If what you've described is the same then I would bet it's a bad bond. Someone posted about this a year or so ago with a custom grind Vokey and it was the same thing. Send it back, no reason you should not get what you paid for.

My brothers and their wives surprised me with a lesson package at the Brian Jacobs golf academy. I have never ever had formal lessons so the nervous / excited / anxious all inhabit my mind right now. Can't wait to schedule these and get going.

The Leafs are paper tigers. We see and hear a ton from them in WNY and they flock to the rink when the Sabres host. While Buffalo has been abysmal this past decade, there is a small part of me that laughs hysterically as they carry on their proud tradition of missing the playoffs or dramatically exiting the first round.

The Leafs I was hoping they’d face Boston @B.Boston@Lacassembut I suppose they’re just going to do their thing.

I have two. The Safeway is one that I love because it's Napa and I have family that lives up there on the course (Silverado). The other one is the Genesis. For me, it's the "alright, we're about ready to get this season going."

It’s tough to find anywhere. The market up here is bonkers…nobody could travel so everyone hunkered down in their cottages. There’s nothing for rent during peak season and zero for sale. Strange times. Hope you have some luck!

Which ones? I love FJ but I just can’t wear their shoes anymore when there are so many other options.
