  1. Have a few pairs of golf shorts that don’t fit me anymore as I’ve lost weight and need smaller sizes. Looking for $25-40 each OBO plus a couple bucks for whatever flat rate shipping I can fit them in. Nike Slim Fit Flex 34” $40 obo Adidas 34” $25 obo Adidas 34” $25obo PGA 34” $25 obo
  2. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? A little over 3 years now. Handicap fluctuates between 15-16. Normal scores are mid 80's on a good day to low 90's on a not so good day. What do you love about golf? The challenge that it brings. You can go from disaster hole to the next hole bombing your drive and approach shot and making birdie. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? I love hearing about the new technology, clubs, controversies, and looking at how others enjoy the game. Where are you from? What is your home course? Henderson, NV. Home course is tough to say but I play Chimera Golf Club more often than others being only a few minutes away. I try to play all over though. Try to play somewhere every weekend and sometimes 2-3 a week if possible. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? There are so many great things when it comes to golf in Las Vegas. The amount of courses in a 10-15 mile distance or even a hour drive away in pahrump, mesquite, and laughlin. Then theres the prices during the summer heat at the twilight rates. $20-$30 rounds all over the valley. Worst thing I would say is that most courses are snugged inside communities making each hole have fairways lined with houses and not much natural landscape. Also, the heat brings great prices but its also 100+ degrees and some courses dont have as much shade being desert landscapes. What do you do for a living? I'm an IT System Admin/ Engineer in the casino industry. How’d you pick your user name? It's just been my social media name for a while now from instagram, twitter, etc. Mix of my first name, middle and last name.
  3. Man, I’m so glad I waited to run any errands until after the finish. Watch the final televised round from start to finish and was glued. Crazy finish and just glad I was able to watch how it all went down. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  4. Played #41 Wolf Creek last year for around $65 on twilight IIRC. Man if the golf course wasnt awesome enough, some of the cart paths were sketchy which were just as fun.
  5. Victor Hovland.. terrible outfit today.
  6. Highland Falls Golf Course in Summerlin, 20 mins from the Vegas Strip. This elevated par 3 has an incredible view. Not sure how a panoramic photo will be on here. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  7. I'm really curious to see these results as well. After some videos on the TXG youtube, different golf balls have really peaked my interest. Mostly in the spin category with them testing and sometimes seeing up to 1200rpm spin difference in a 6 or 7 iron.
  8. I played a set of one lengths but have now switched back to variable length set. I guess you might see more consistency. When you get into the "longer" irons 4, 5, and maybe 6 you dont see the same trajectory as you do in variable length irons. So unless you're a player with a pretty good swing and create an ideal ball flight, I wouldnt switch. First thing I noticed when switching to my variable length set is a higher peak height with my new 5 and 6 irons.
  9. Mojave Resort Golf Club in Laughlin, NV. Almost like a hidden gem. Loved the layout but couldn’t get away from 25-30mph winds which made for a tough day. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  10. This was the one of the most entertaining things I watched on youtube ever.
  11. Tried to get in 18 yesterday. Coming down the last few holes the dark was settling in. This was the view from 18 down the fairway. Hit one of my best 7 iron shots on the approach. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  12. These things showed up. Thank you tax return. P790s w recoil shafts. Now off to the range/ course to put some work in. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  13. I thought the same thing. I wasnt trying overly heavy shafts or anything either. Some 95, some 105. I do hear a lot about confidence when hitting different combinations. Watching TXG videos you hear it. Maybe that had something to do with it as well.
  14. I recently did my iron fitting and be relatively new to golf and still working on my swing and flexibility, I cant produce a higher swing speed as easy. With my 7 iron I was getting 76-78 mph and decent distance on a few different steel shafts. I tried out some graphite shafts and was around 85-87mph and the dispersion was less as well. The flight was overall better, a little more spin and higher launch which helps me since I'm a bit of a picker that doesnt get it up in the air as well as I would like. So in my new irons I will be playing the Recoil 760 w/ smacwrap.
  15. I currently play the f7 one lengths. So over my current clubs I def saw more improvement in distance. Then when we got the shaft dialed in I was a lot more consistent as well. I will add that my f7s were off the rack without a fitting so I was expecting to see improvements. I also had better spin, further distance and less dispersion with the p790 vs the others that I tested.
  16. Starting testing all 4. Removed the least consistent and worst performing which was the f9. So then it was the g410, Hot metal pro, and p790. After hitting a bunch of shots, the hot metal was dropped off. Then it was between the g410 and p790. The p790 ending up beating the g410 in both performance and consistency. Ordered 5-Aw p790.
  17. Well hit some irons today. G410, F9 one length, Hot metal pro, and the p790. Was really looking into the g410 and HMP but the p790 performed so well. Now I can’t stop thinking about them being in my bag. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  18. Guessing you have to call for prices? I dont really see any clubs that have prices listed.
  19. I was thinking the same thing haha. 24 handicap with that speed, launch, spin, descent angle. I wish I had that.
  20. I love the look of these things. Now if only my local club champion would contact me back so I can get a proper fit that Golf Galaxy probably wont be able to do since when I first wanted to demo them I was switching out the shafts from the cart myself lol Would love to see what they do with a higher spinning ball.
  21. You know, I never even thought about getting some single irons to replace the longer ones. I feel with the F9's I launch the longer irons much better. So maybe instead of new set I can pick up a couple F9s.
  22. I have been playing one length since the F7's came out. My handicap definitely dropped, but thats also me just getting better as I've only been playing a few years. This year I'll be getting fit for new irons and I'll still be trying out the F9 one lengths to see how they do in comparison. I also play a one length hybrid which has been awesome. So versatile.
  23. Happy but disappointed in my play Tuesday. Worked early morning so had time to get a round in after. Got paired with an later age man and his and the son also had his toddler with him which was quite annoying but it was a $30 round so oh well. Shot 48/43 on a tees one back than I normally play at this course and the wind started to pick up a tad. Had a triple on the front and triple on the back and also a 3 putt on each side which of course were different holes from the triples. A lot of room to shave some strokes but overall was playing pretty good minus a few holes.
  24. Missed this thread somehow. Played the other day and had a few memorable shots. 1st- Par 4 into the wind. Ballooned a drive into the right rough with that leaves you behind a big hill and some tall bush that leaves the green blind. Had about 170 yards and thought I'll pull out a 7iron and try to give it my all. Gave a little more spine tilt and swung out of my shoes and it so pure. The ball cleared the hill and bush so I run around the corner just in time to see it land a few yards passed the pin and roll out to the edge of the green. Two putt for par but I was happy. 2nd- 550 or so yard par 5 thats slightly downhill. One of those holes you get on the tee box and want to smash the driver and usually push it right or pull it left because you swing too hard. I had been hitting drives pretty well for the most part so I figured I'll put a little more into this one. Tee'd it high and let it fly. Driving up in the cart it shows on the gps how long your shot was from whatever tee you were at and I was getting closer to the ball and it said 260 yards but still had a ways to get to the ball. I pull up next to the ball and look. 330 yards. Hot damn I was ecstatic! (Skulled the hybrid from 215 out following the drive and wedged it in from 60 yards. Two putt par) 3rd- 16th Par 4. Skinny fairway with some perfectly placed bunkers that also have some tall palm trees in a line that if you dont hit the fairway you'll be trying to sneak in between the palms to get on the green. Of course I push it a little right and leave it in some heavy rough just short of a bunker and in front of me, the line of palms. I was about 145 out from the pin. I pulled 9 iron to get something up there. I hit it clean and squeezed it in between the palms to get on in two and off course, two putt par from about 12 feet.
