Geogolf007 commented on GolfSpy_APH's article in Articles
I love the MGS Headcover...curious if they are still available? -
It has to be my versatile Ping #7 Wood or SC Platinum Newport 2.

My club has a range plan included in the membership. It is $55 per quarter unlimited balls.

What Have You Bought Lately? (CHA - Club Ho's Anonymous)
Geogolf007 replied to hckymeyer's topic in The Daily
Yes I did. I tried the G410 and G425 and didn't like the acoustics. The G430 has improved the sound considerably and sounds a lot like the G400. I was getting about 5-7 yards more carry with the G430 over my G400. -

Yes I did and the distance is probably 5-7 yards farther, and the sound is pretty close to the G400 Max. -

I decided to retire my Ping G400 Max and purchased a Ping G430 Max Driver. -
Who has dealt with either tennis or golfer's elbow?
Geogolf007 replied to DGA3's topic in General Q&A
I have had the tennis elbow in both arms which is very painful, and it got to where I couldn't pick up a carton of milk much less luggage. I was playing in a lot of golf tournaments, so I couldn't rest it and decided to get the cortisone shot in both elbows. It relieved the pain for a few weeks but would come back. I then decided to go with acupuncture which seem to help a lot along with the use of the Flexbar. Also, I do dumbbell curls with light weight 15lbs, but when you do the curl make sure to turn your thumbs outward while raising the dumbbell during the exercise. Good luck and Merry Christmas!! -
Shaft Hack - The Otto Phlex Journey
Geogolf007 replied to azstu324's topic in General Equipment Talk
I went from the Mizuno JPX HM 919 to the new JPX HM 923 with the Recoil F2 Shafts and love the irons. I am 72 and tried both Recoil F3 and F2. I really couldn't feel the difference but the performance was more consistent in distance with F2. Now, I wish I would have tried the F1 but the F2 is working great!! -
Shaft Hack - The Otto Phlex Journey
Geogolf007 replied to azstu324's topic in General Equipment Talk
I totally agree. All thru my younger age I swung a 60g D3-D4 Reg and now that I'm 70 the lighter weight shaft with a D0 SW works really good but it took a long time for my mind to accept the lighter SW. Thanks again for the confirmation. -

Thanks for posting your experience with the lighter shaft. I have done the same test with the Ping Distanza Shaft in my G400 Max Driver 9*. The results were very similar to what you experienced. I found the max length most optimal was 45" with a C9 to D0 SW. I think the problem getting any higher in SW is the high torque of the shaft can't handle the additional weight in the head...IMHO. -
Is there a list of “Winners” for MGS prizes?
Geogolf007 replied to PMookie's topic in Deals & Contests
I won a new Ping G410 3 Wood about 2-3 years ago. It just showed up at my house and I gave it to my son because it was a stiff shaft and I play a 5 wood reg. -
The only problem I've encountered with the Evnroll Putter is the grooves will collect sand which creates another step in your putting...make sure you don't have sand in the grooves!!

Bryson's YouTube Channel (Cobra 2022)
Geogolf007 replied to Berg Ryman's topic in General Equipment Talk
Bryson swings the golf club harder than anybody I've seen in my 50+ years. He is a very interesting young man and I hope his body stays together. -

I would much rather have the A-Blade Putter that Jack Nicklaus used to win 15 of his 18 majors.

Restore a Glove Post Round - who has a solution?
Geogolf007 replied to WaffleHouseTour's topic in General Equipment Talk
I live in the Houston area and we have our share of the heat and humidity. A lot of the guys here including me put talcum powder or baby powder in the glove before you play to help eliminate the moisture. -
I have gone to Tony Allen, PGA 'Class A' Assistant Golf Professional with 20 years teaching experience. He is good about not trying to tear you down and start all over. Several of the members at Willow Fork CC which is my club have got lessons from Tony. I got my lessons from Tony at Meadow Brook Farms and he has a website.
