It has been a month or two since I’ve actually practiced due to my golf clubs ranged being renovated, but I went to a range across town and worked on some things. It was so good to just have a large bucket and relax. I was able to work on ball position and alignment which have really suffered lately. I also worked on a better release, I was really hitting the ball solid. It was good tournament prep for one I having coming up in a couple weeks. I’m hoping to get a few more in before it happens.

Turns out my feet were aligned where I wanted them, but my shoulders were way open. Got them realigned and all of a sudden I was back to hitting straight or draws. Even made bird on 18, so little victory to bring me back next weekend.

Yesterday, I had no business shooting 78 but my new Jailbird Cruiser was on fire! I could not get off the tee and our rough is crazy thick. I somehow shot one over on the front, but just ran out of good lies on bad tee shots on the back.  I went to the range today to practice and got to hit 10 balls before work exploded and I had to leave. Shot 39 on the front, and 1 under 35 on the back. I had 3 chip in birdies on the back, one from the bunker. I’m feeling pretty confident going into the MG, but I’m hoping to get some wedge practice in this week to get that more dialed.
