  1. I cannot open MGS in Chrome I have to use FireFox, not sure if this is because of the changes?
  2. I am fortunate to live in the PNW where we can play virtually all year long, very little snow here just lots of rain and leaves. So during fall and winter most likely to lose a ball in the leaves or even plugged in soggy fairways. I have gone a few rounds now and then without losing a ball but I am still usually losing 1/2 a round. I will take one out of play if it gets too banged up and reserve it for my backyard putting green...
  3. Congrats this is a great win @Lacassem Hey my birthday is next Wednesday I will take a mercy gift
  4. It was not that weird on day one and two but on day three the top six players teed off in two groups on hole one so they all could finish on 18. So for those finishing in my hole, hole 10, it seemed a bit anticlimactic.
  5. Living in Portland I chose to volunteer at the event. Here are some of my takeaways. It was great to see some great golfers we all know up close and personal. Getting to see their tee shots on a 492 par four that plays as a par 5 for everyday golf was incredible. Seeing a couple young unknown (to me) golfers out drive Bryson was also pretty cool (although Bryson used a fairway wood) Having not been to a PGA event before I do not have a comparison from an energy level but the people that passed by following the marquee seemed to have ample energy. By Saturday the course was pretty well packed. The following of the groupings of lesser known golfers was definitely small to almost non-existent to which I am not sure if that is the same in a PGA event where almost all of them are well known. FREE to volunteer - so while talking to other volunteers many talked about spending $80 - $300 to volunteer, LIV was free. While you may not get as much swag as a PGA or other event I feel that volunteers shouldn't have to pay, I am sure the PGA makes enough from gate fees and the such that they can afford to provide the volunteers with gear. They also provided breakfast and lunch each day and plenty of water and Gatorade. Plus if you volunteer for at least 3 shifts you get a free round of golf at the course - presently summer rates being $112-138 this is a nice perk! SLOW and boring at times - so this was a drawback for me somewhat. Given the shotgun start with 16 groupings there are two gaps due to holes not having groups on them. Then there also seemed to be at least one other gap throughout the day at a random time of up to twenty minutes. So for the marshals working there were definitely times where there was nothing to do. Overall, it was a good experience, being inside the ropes was exciting for me! I would recommend doing it at your course if they come to you and it remains free to volunteer. Let me know if you have any other questions and play well this weekend.
  6. Hi all - my biggest win yet!!! I won 1st prize in the Golfers Authority Endless Summer giveaway. Just some of the items: MNML Golf Bag Honma Driver, 3 Wood and Hybrid 12 dozen TP5/TP5x 2 Putters Rapsodo MLM and much more!!!
  7. @WaffleHouseTour Yes the whole yard is now turf or river rock, no maintenance and shouldn't be a swamp during the rainy season. I haven't chosen the net yet but will likely place on the turf facing the green space in case there are any errant shots
  8. I got my new yard and putting green instated this week.
  9. Titleist is running a new contest. https://www.titleist.com/team-titleist-pro-v1-sweepstakes
  10. A hitting net is already in the plan to use with my Rapsodo MLM And yes the way my yard is situated I will be able to do some pitching as well!
  11. It will be filled so I was thinking flat, I appreciate your opinion on the break as it does make complete sense that you would just learn it quickly. I live in a suburban area with decent size lot, the turf is going to be about 1600SqFt but not an area I can hit to. I will be able to do some chipping to it but we do have a deck above our patio so posts are in the way of some chipping.
  12. Good morning everyone, So we are going to replace our horrible backyard with turf - just finalized the bid and accepted. My question is for a 300SqFt (15x20) putting green portion of this project how many holes would you put in? Would you ask for any undulations for break to be added? Any other thoughts on this?
  13. My son who is in college playing golf was using P790s (now my gamers), he then switched to MP20 combo set and then at Christmas time switched to the 921s. He is in love with the 921s and having great success with them. I like the P790 but oh my word the new Black version looks so sweet I might need to get a new set of clubs!
  14. I walk almost exclusively, when I ride it is usually when I score a late tee time with no one in front of me for several times so I can fly. I actually went out a week ago on a somewhat rainy day, I was the only one on the course - go figure. I played 18 holes in 1 1/2 hours and shot my handicap. I was relaxed and not rushed nor did I have to wait. If I had been walking I would've played 9 in about an hour but the full 18 was worth the extra $ and getting wet when no one else wanted to was a bonus. I love when I can experience the true peacefulness of the course.
  15. You can change between Carry and total under settings. That’s only for driver and woods. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  16. Anyone know if this ended yet? It says it was to end on the 4th but the entry page is still up and accepting entries??
  17. They have a new contest every month and I always enter every day. Haven’t won theirs yet but I’m sure I will.
  18. I've won two contests lately. I won the Ben Hogan US open contest for 3 wedges, pair of Sqairz shoes and umbrella. Then last week I won a Back2Basics contest for a rangefinder, putting aid and dozen PV1.
  19. I won the US Open contest by Ben Hogan golf and Sqairz. I have got my Squaiz products and still waiting on my wedge set.
