Found my first complaint with the setup: there have been a couple times where the SC300i didn’t sync with the app after a session so the data didn’t transfer over. I’ve found that if I connect during practice I never have an issue, and will continue to monitor.
I still haven’t gotten up the courage to hit driver indoors, so far just 5w off the mat and hybrids/irons. I typically lay a towel on the mat behind the ball to give me the feedback of hitting it fat when I hit the towel. I’ve been hitting pretty well and I can’t wait to see how it translates to the course in the spring. I’ve also been using 3-4 clubs per session rather than working through the whole bag.
Im probably going to spring for some simulator time to make sure my ball flight isn’t all over the place, but I’ve been pretty consistent hitting the target in the net, so at the very least my start line is on point.

Outstanding! I have 2 putting mats, 1 knockoff perfect practice mat and a birdie ball mat. I let a friend borrow the BB mat since he doesn’t have one.
I think Target mode on the SC300i is a great tool to keep my chipping sharp.
A lot of reviews on the Spornia net mentioned quick set up and takedown, and so far that’s been a huge positive. Less than 5 minutes on either side to put it up or down.

I didn’t want to move back north, so I had several stipulations revolving around golf, and how much I can play at home and or on the course.

My set up was out on my deck which meant that I needed to sign up for indoor range for the off season. I don't have a space that with high enough ceiling to move my setup inside my house. What I can tell you is that it was the best investment I've made for improving my golf game. Handicap has drop 6+ points to 12.5

Awesome, nice improvement!
I got lucky that the garage had high enough ceilings to set up inside. My handicap goal for next season is to get to single digits, with a couple practice sessions a week I think I can get there.

I had 7i data from 2 sessions in that picture. The first was actually outdoors, the 2nd was a test round with the indoor setup using just 7i. I’ll add some more data after I have 5+ sessions with all clubs to see where they compare.

The kind of consistency I need with my 8i, my 150 yard club. This is from practice today, and one of the things I love most about my irons is the “click” they make on sweet spot contact so I could tell I was flushing it.

I recently moved from South Carolina back to Pennsylvania so playing year round isn’t going to be an option. I only started playing again in August 2019 after a 5 year break and the big hit me big time. I got fitted for new clubs, spent a ton of time practicing and went from struggling to break 100 at the beginning of 2020 to a 12.4 handicap and almost breaking 80 on several occasions at the end of this season. Then it got cold and that was that.
I didn’t want to lose all the hard work I put in for next season so I decided to invest in a net, mat and launch monitor. After a lot of reviews, searching for deals and taking garage space into consideration I ended up on a Spornia net/mat combo and a Swing Caddy SC300i.
I’ve used Arccos for the last year and a half so the first thing I wanted to test was distance, comparing the SC300i results to over 5000 Arccos shots. They lined up very similarly after 1 full session.
The net and mat so far have met all of my expectations. I was a little nervous hitting into it the first few swings, but I quickly realized even shanks won’t escape the net the mat feels similar to a mat you’d encounter at the range, and it’ll be interesting to see how it breaks in over time.
All in all I’m pretty happy with the setup, and I’m really looking forward to seeing if I can keep my momentum going through the winter and shooting for sub 80 early next year

After experimenting with and without using alignment marks (typically the manufacturer mark) both during play and practicing I’ve found that I putt significantly better using the alignment mark. I try not to make sure I’m lining up while others are putting so that I can go quickly when it’s my turn and keep the round moving, but over the course of a full round its been equating to 5 or 6 strokes when I don’t use a line.

I hung out at Penn National a good but before I played golf as my HS girlfriend lived on the course. Haven’t been back to play it.
I just moved from South Carolina to Hanover PA and have found there to be a lot of nice courses in the area. Played the Links at Gettysburg last week and besides the worst putting round of my life played pretty well.

Hideaway hills was always my favorite up there. Mt Airy is fun too. I lived near Allentown for a while and there are some nice courses down that way too.

For longer putts (12+ feet) I don’t use an alignment mark of any kind, but I use the manufacturer marking on putts inside of that. I’ve gone back and forth with using the alignment marking on the tee, not sure I can find a discernible difference.

I switched balls regularly trying to find a lesser expensive option that played like a premium ball, since I’ve really only been playing again for a little over 2 years and was losing a lot of balls. Then someone gifted me a box of Tour Speeds and I noticed a huge improvement in the balls reaction to my swing, putter, etc.
Then I played some new Pro V1s and I never wanted to play another ball again, but spending $50/dozen just seems so excessive. Tried the new Maxfli Tour after the reviews on here and they play so close to the ProV1s for me that I’m playing them exclusively at this point. It helps that I’ve improved enough that I don’t lose more than a ball or two in a round and regularly play the same ball all 18 holes.
I’ve been playing the Maxflis for about 10 rounds now and I’ve had 4 of my 5 best rounds ever (81 last weekend, a sub 80 is coming soon!) and had my first ever 300 yard drives, tracked by Arccos. That’s my ball, and I’m sticking to it.

Another follow up here. I’ve had the new putter in the bag for 4 rounds now and I’ve never putted better than I have lately. It took me a couple weeks of practicing to get my set up in a comfortable place, and now I feel like I’m going to make every putt. Yesterday I rolled in a couple from beyond 25’ and only missed 1 from inside 10’. My misses were all close, leaving a lot of tap in clean ups. Distance control has been such a huge improvement with this putter, and the ball coming off the face is even better now that I’m really comfortable with my setup and stroke. For reference my Arccos handicap for putting yesterday was +5, whereas with my old putter it was typically anywhere from 2 to 10.
I can’t recommend strongly enough getting fitted for a putter and keeping an open mind if your fitter suggests a putter you wouldn’t have considered.

I’ve used Arccos for 40 rounds now, added Link about 10 rounds ago. Overall it works how I’d expect it to. My only 2 minor issues are:
1. The rare occasions when I chunk a chip shot and it only registers one because they were too close together.
2. I’ve noticed Link tracked shots don’t always line up with the exact location on the course. For example, I show many putts that are not on the green, shots from the fairway that are shown as being off in the rough. I’m sure it’s just a slight mapping issue, but it can be mildly annoying.
Haven’t tried shot scope, truthfully I’m not sure I would with as much as I’ve enjoyed Arccos, the data is has provided has been unbelievably helpful in my nearly 10 stroke handicap improvement over the last year.

Updates:
Got back out to the practice green again yesterday after spending the last several days rolling putts in the house. Distance control is spot on for me and now that I’m getting comfortable with the arm lock and setup.
Got out to play 18 this afternoon and all I can say is wow. I felt like I was going to make everything, rolled in a few 20 footers, lipped out a 40 footer and ended the round with 30 putts and a career low 83. This putter is going to be a game changer for me.- cnosil, Shapotomous and artful_golfer

Depending on where in western Wyoming you could probably find decent options in SLC. I have a lot of family in eastern Idaho, beautiful part of the country.

My fitter is a locaL golf shop that uses trackman. There are other putter fitting systems out there, but I don’t have experience with those. I can definitely recommend trying to find a course or shop that uses trackman for fitting. You’re going to have to pass through Las Vegas to get to Mesquite, you could probably find some options there.

I got fitted for my Scotty last year. Tried 5 brands and both mallet and blades. Really thought I would putt better with a mallet, but the fitter showed me the data and got me onto another Scotty.
I found from my fitting that my putts now start rolling quicker off the face based on the fitting data and my putts are heading exactly where my line is now vs my previous inconsistency on most putts. Major difference is slight adjustment to loft and longer putter length.
Have always been a decent putter, but now it’s even better. My distance control is definitely user errors and not my putter.
It’s funny, I never would have considered this putter without the fitting. I was set on trying to get into a Scotty or Bettinardi or Oddysey but the data just didn’t support any of those over this one.

I tried the Cobra putters recently and agree the ball comes off the face very well. There is something to that SIK face technology. They only had the larger mallet in left hand and the aesthetics weren't for me. Hoping to try the blade soon.
Yeah the descending loft technology gives it such a consistent feel off the club face that I just couldn’t ignore it. Trackman data backed it up with how little deviation I had on ball speed at impact and with my roll percentage. The confidence that gives me will be a huge boost.

Definitely would recommend the putter fitting to anyone considering it. My last putter was “fit” for me at a big box store and I’m fairly certain there wasn’t a single adjustment made to it, just a cursory glance at me rolling a few putts and a “yep looks like it’s the right fit”. It worked ok for 8ish years, but as I improved it became obvious I needed to be properly fit.

For a long time I considered putting to be the strength of my game. I regularly had less than 30 putts in a round and averaged about 31.5 putts per round last year. As I improved my game and started hitting more greens, my first putts became longer and I started 3 putting more often, which causes me to reassess my putting stroke, grip, and eventually my entire putter.
I started using a forward press, which helped. Then I tried a new, larger grip which was mostly a disaster. Putting went from a strength to a source of anxiety for me and my putts per round jumped nearly 4 strokes. My game was improving despite my putting and I knew if I could get my putting together I could make a push at my goal of a 10 handicap (I was playing a 23 at the beginning of 2020, got as low as 14.8 at the end of last summer and am currently at 16).
I started looking into putter fitting, and unbeknownst to me, my wife scheduled a putter fitting for me for Father’s Day. My fitter uses trackman, he has fit all of my other clubs so I was pretty excited about it when she told me what she planned for me this morning. After all, getting properly fit last year for irons, wedges and woods helped me drastically improve my game.
He started the fitting by having me roll a few putts to get a baseline, and after 4 or 5 he asked if my miss was a pull left, which it is. He showed me some trackman numbers and suggested that my putter was the wrong lie and angle, and probably not the right weight or toe hang for my stroke. Then he started handing me putters. I’d roll a few, he’d hand me another putter and on we went. After a few different putters he asked if I’d consider something a little different, an arm lock putter. “Why not?” I said, seemed like it was worth a shot.
Once I got adjusted to the arm lock setup and took a few practice strokes, I rolled a putt. It was pure. I rolled another, pure. And another, and another. All pure. He chuckled a little bit and told me it might take some getting used to and a few minor lie and loft adjustments, but he thought it was a winner.
We put it aside and tried a few others, but I kept coming back to the arm lock option. Every time I rolled a putt with it I felt like it was going to go in. The Trackman data and video backed it up too, consistent ball speed, roll %, and starting path. I’d seen enough, and after he made the adjustments, I took my new Cobra Grandsport AL to my favorite practice green to get some putts in. The ball comes off the face so pure, so clean, and it wasn’t hard to get my long distance putting pace down really quickly. All of the sudden I don’t feel anxious about putting, and I’m looking forward to seeing how my game is impacted on the course as soon as this tropical storm passes through this weekend.

I have the previous version 919 hot metal irons. They’re very easy to hit and the ball comes off like a rocket from the club face. I have to imagine the newer version would be similar. For reference I play to about a 16 and mY driver swing speed is 100-105, 7i from my fitting was low 80s.

Yeah, hitting off a mat I needed a way to tell when I wasn’t getting ball first contact so I’ve used that method for a long time when grass ranges aren’t available. I’m going to break 80 next year, and I’m going to get there early in the season.
