TESTERS WANTED!

Sub 70 Golf was created to give golfers access to the highest quality and newest technology golf clubs available in the market, and to do so at a fraction of the cost of larger companies.

They don't have an advertising budget, and there is no third party selling our clubs and marking up prices to ensure their own profit.

Sub 70 Golf is located in Sycamore, Illinois, and the people that started Sub 70 are also the people that build your clubs, answer your calls, and play a lot of golf.

Those same people believe that golfers should not have to feel the need to spend a small fortune on new golf clubs every six months in order to feel like they can keep up.

Sub70 take pride in their clubs, and stand for their values. If for any reason you're not satisfied with your clubs, let them know and they will make it right.

For this Test we are looking for 4 MGS Forum Members to test two of the Sub70 TAIII Milled Forged Wedges

The TAIII wedge is an addition and complement to the award winning TAIII irons. Created with both reliability and versatility in mind, the TAIII golf wedge can play every shot: high, low, high spin or low spin. Meant for those with creativity around the greens, the Tommy Armour III Tour Milled wedges are the precision made tools of a short game artist.

This test is open to anyone in the US and Canada with RH only availability!

I have not heard of sub 70 wedges. I am very interested in the results as I am not totally satisfied with my wedges.

Dad gumm, so many great opportunities for testing this year!!!

Here's another one. Living and golfing as I do in the rainy PacificNorthwest, I've used Ping Glide 1.0 thru 4.0 due to their hydropearl finish  and have been generally pleased with them. Switched to Vokey SM8 for summertime, and I'm very pleased with them also. But I'm super interested in Sub70 irons and wedges because I play and practice a lot and wear out clubs. It gets pretty expensive changing out wedges once or twice a year and buying new irons every couple. I hope to get a chance to try these out!

I damaged my Titleist Vokey wedge this weekend from a hidden rock buried in the fairway. Who buries a rock in the fairway? Unable to repair it. I loved that Vokey wedge. Needless to say, I am looking for a new wedge and would love to try these beauties!

This thing just looks MEAN, in a good way:

I've also been debating just going to a 50* and 56* wedge setup rather than the 50* / 54* / 58* wedge setup I have been using. So I would be asking a LOT of questions of my 56* in that sense. Needs to be able to be laid open and played square and everything in between, good in the sand, etc. I would probably do best with the standard bounce (12*) 56* wedge and then the 50* wedge.

I currently play sub70 699 irons, might be interesting to see how the wedges stack up against the RTX6 I have now!

That's a fun thought @GolfSpy_APH to incorporate a poll of which equipment the community would like to see h2h against these wedges and perhaps use that as selection criteria for one or 2 of the testers if there's an overwhelming consensus on one or two particular products. Obviously you have criteria in place already that would supercede this in the selection process but if it's within your qualified applicants as a tie-breaker to find someone gaming rtx6 or sm9 etc if the poll results are overwhelming

Comparisons are a nice side to testing, but the review is of the wedges themselves and how they perform.

We do already have current wedges as a question and reference it, but in the end activity, posts, interactions and such are the most important factors.

If members do comparisons that's great and is certainly added benefit for some, but we have no requirements for that in our testing template.

Looking to change my gapping. Great opportunity to test some fine looking wedges and to do a little experimenting. Heard good things about this brand but have never hit them.

I would really like to try these wedges. My favorite thing to do it hit wedge shots from all over the course. Good luck to everyone.

Was really happy to start with my SM9s with the jet black finish...even happier after a guy on another site showed me how to get the black finish ripped off and make them soft and raw and rusty.  They feel really soft and I can tell where I'm hitting the ball (and where I'm not unfortunately some days).  They're almost a year old though, and I've played a LOT of golf in the last year, so give a new set of wedges a shot this summer would be fun.

Have heard so much about Sub 70. Very excited about having an opportunity to test one of their wedges.  After looking at their website, I have my eye on the 54LB to fill the void between my Ping Glide Gorge 50* and my Vokey SM8 58/8M. Just have not been able to find a mid-wedge that fits my eye and can handle the different turf conditions found in the desert.

Excited for the opportunity to test these wedges!   I have played Vokey, Cleveland, and currently gaming Callaway... would love to run these beauties through the gauntlet!

Perhaps Sub 70 would like to have the opinion of an older, just weekly player - yes, me!  I'd be able to tell the neophytes, the occasional, the "i'm not good enough for that stuff" golfer!  All testing would be at the local First Tee - a decent course (good architecture) but not plush - heck, if you can hit 'em there.......
