Condog
Im a 58 year old retired teacher and golf coach who was always interested in the knowledge and passion of this site and i want to start doing my own tinkering in my shop with clubs. I am about a 6- 7 handicap who has a putter fetish and love the T.P. mills line since i used them since i was a kid. Its great to have this site for golf nuts like myself. Glad to be aboard Sent from my SM-G930V using MyGolfSpy mobile app Rocket blades vokey wedges Wilson 8802
808nation
Welcome to the MGS forums glad to have you with us, one golf nut to another Since you're a golf coach, I'd like to know what the secret is to hitting my irons longer. I'm not asking for 20 or 30 yards, but maybe 10 -15? Any drills you have would be great Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N930A using MyGolfSpy mobile app WITB: Driver: Sim2 Max w/ Fujikura Motore X F3 shaft FW Wood: F9 wood 14.5* Hybrids: Sim2 Max 3 Hybrid & Vapor Flex 4 hybrid Irons: Z565 - 7 thru PW & ZU85 - 5 thru 6 with Recoil ZT9 F4 shafts Wedges: RTX4 52*, 56*, 60* Putter: Scotty Cameron M2 Newport Ball: Black & Pro V1 Bag: 2018 MyGolfSpy stand Bag & 2021 Greenside Golf stand bag

Condog
One drill for shoulder turn start with feet close together taking half swings with your mid irons . Concentrate on shoulder turn by putting a small golf towel under your left shoulder. Keep it from coming out STAY CONNECTED 2. TRY ON TAKEAWAY TO LEEP YOUR KNUCLES OF LEFT HAND TO THE GROUND THIS EMPHASIZES NOT BREAKING WRISTS AND KEEPING THAT FAMOUS TEIANGLE THAT CREATES POWER 3. BALL POSITION MAYBE PLAYING THE BALL TO FORWARD OR BACK IN YOUR STANCE 4. GOOD DRILL 3/4 SWING WITH 5 IRON STOP AND PAUSE AT THE TOP THEN SWING THRU HITTING BALL FIRST THEN THE GROUND Sent from my SM-G930V using MyGolfSpy mobile app Rocket blades vokey wedges Wilson 8802
Condog
Hey 808 best thing check your stance ball position and a common fault esp of older golfers who cant turn like the youngsters is swaying . Put two sticks or poles ouside your right and left feet a few inches outside your shoulders . Try to stay in that space concentrating on not letting your body move outside those lines fire through to your left side use previous 3/ 4 drill with these. Hope this will help im not an expert but have been a hell of a student for 40 years Sent from my SM-G930V using MyGolfSpy mobile app Rocket blades vokey wedges Wilson 8802
808nation
Thanks for the tips, I will definitely give these a shot. I'm not a power player and have always struggled with distance so I have to always rely on new technology to squeeze out every ounce of distance I can out of my clubs.
