The Ping tour shaft is built off the ust elements chrome/chrome+ The new chrome and black are still made by UST. Not sure if both are still based of that design, my speculation is they are and the difference is the black is just stiffer design The Alta is made by Aldila and they don’t list specs for it. I would hope they have more answers The Ping engineers design the shaft. They work with the shaft companies who then make the shaft. Unless things have changed the reps don’t have the specs on the shaft, even the fitters that came from hq didn’t have them when I asked at my g400 fitting.
