Did a quick google search which on popped up with a small reddit post(we know how helped that can be sometimes haha). So I decided to message @EasyPutter and see if his driver was the same... Well thankfully it was which leads me to believe this is a mold/design flaw that each of the MAX D's will have(unsure if any other model of the Ai Smoke will have this). Some may be more pronounced than other depending on molds, stickers, coatings used on the heads and quality control. 

So at this point this is something I'm not happy with in Callaway's craftsmanship & QC so wanted to note this in the thread for future buyers of this club. 

THIS IN NO WAY HAS AFFECTED THE PERFORMANCE!

Josh @JAYER38 reached out to me to compare notes and clubs about what he noticed when cleaning his clubs. This morning I went outside in the beautiful clear blue sky sunshine and took these pictures for comparison. 

 zoom in to see what I had to look very carefully to see.

At first I didn't see anything like what he had circled (and no Matt @GolfSpy SAM it's not because I didn't have red circles on my club).  But as I looked closer I could just make out the lines. It makes sense that the compound form of the club head would require a mold form that separates to release the cast body of the club head.  For whatever reason mine is nearly invisible and Josh's is less invisible

The club has it's moments of amazing brilliance when it does effect a draw instead of the fade I'm used to seeing, and when I hit my longest drive ever 227 yards on a blind dogleg off the 6th tee of South Park GC in South Buffalo, my fair city, flying over trees, water and bull rushes onto fairway where it patiently waited for me to discover it farther down the fairway than I ever thought it could go.
