[What Is Your Next Planned Golf Equipment Purchase?]

Just order the new Cleveland Hy-Wood 3+.  Plan is to use it off the tee for some holes and as a replacement for my 3/4 wood Cobra.  Great deal from Cleveland and Second Swing, they will give you 50% more on trade-in clubs if you buy a Cleveland hybrid or hy-wood.  I had plenty of clubs I was no longer using and got almost $200 off the total price.

If you are losing that many balls a round go with Inesis and improve your consistency with keeping the ball in play.  I would suggest Maxfli Tour balls but I don't believe those are available in Europe.  

Go with Inesis for a season or two, you won't know the difference at this point in your development but your wallet will.

The Maxfli is longer off the tee for me.  The highest compliment you can give this ball is the only ball that rivals the Maxfli Tour is the Pro V/X.  Hands down the best ball out there and the price makes it a no brainer.  The only thing, and this is such a minor thing, is I do enjoy the off white color of a Pro-V.  Been playing the Maxfli Tour X for almost three seasons now, I am a devotee.  If you can justify spending an additional $23 per box for that off white cover of the Pro V then you are a madman. 

Plus, nobody at my course plays Maxfli and it is hella funny when a playing partner is helping to find/identify a ball and they say, 'Maxfli' and you get that surge of pride in hitting a ball way down the fairway and that spins on the greens knowing those golf snobs playing TP5, Callaway, Pro V are quietly thinking, 'Wow, that ball performs'.

You will only play a ball that is bubbled or has mower cuts for one round?  You must be one hell of a golfer.  Do you play to the degree of bubbling or smile in the ball?  Like you adjust for an extra 10 yards of curve on a 5 iron with a mild to serious mower cut but only 5 yards for a minor cut?  Well done.

This might contradict the point of your post but I actually hit a specially made matte finish version and I was only carrying the ball 270.  Hit the actual club and I was easily carrying it 278'ish.  But then....THEN... they brought out a pinball metallic finish and the sun was reflecting off the crown, almost burning a hole in my retina.  Could barely even look at the ball and pretty much averaged 295 carry.  Unbelievable.

I still play my Fly Z but all I can do with it is stripe them down the middle or high lovely, towering draws.

[How often do you purchase new wedges/do they really change year/year?]

Just pick up a groove sharpener.  I do not believe having brand new wedges with maximum spin is that great.  A little hop and stop is nice but when new grooves can rip the ball back ten feet I think you lose some control on the landing and release of the ball.

[Pxg are they making money?]

To me buying PXG's is like buying a Rolls Royce.  It is a classy name and brand, it has a high ticket association.  But you can buy a car that has just as much luxury, performance and options at a lower price point that works just as well.  I see PXG's in a guy's bag and think, 'He paid an extra few hundred bucks for a logo'.

[Is the 60º wedge really that hard?]

For me the 60 degree is a wasted club in the bag.  Too few situations where it is necessary/handy and you can make a 56 degree wedge do what you need and it is a much more versatile and useful club over a round.

[Maxfli Tour]

For me the Maxfli Tour balls are considerably longer off my driver.  I gave my playing partner one to play last season and he stuck a 9 iron for birdie that he said his Pro-V would not have held the green on since it was a bit of a lower trajectory shot that stopped dead on a tight pin.  The four box deal for $105 is unworldly.  Best value out there and I don't think these Maxfli balls are deficient in any area comparted to Titleist, Callaway, TaylorMade, Srixon, etc.

I always cast a suspicious eye when I play with someone who has only one brand (like SIM driver, TM irons, wedges and who cares about the putter but someone who just buys all one brand smells like someone who got the shim-sham from a big box store sales guy).

[What are you doing with the '21 Ball test data?]

I have played Z Star, Pro-V and a bit of Bridgestone X for the last 10+ years.  This last season I have been playing the Maxfli Tour CG X.  After seeing the driver data (I am over 100 mph on driver but not near 115 so I went out and bought two boxes o of the Maxfli Tour CG.  The X rated way lower on distance (even though I was driving them considerably further than the Srixons and Pro-V's).  These are every bit as good as any other ball and the price......buy something cheap at Golf Galaxy, fill out the survey on the receipt to get $10 off your next purchase.  Buy two boxes of Maxflis for $60, throw on the coupon and you have two boxes of exceptional balls for $50.  That deal cannot be beat.

There is a site called Sideline Swap where plenty of used junior clubs are available.  I picked up a nice Cobra set for my daughter, paid about $90 for driver, 3 wood, hybrid, sand iron, 9 iron, 7 iron and putter.  Nice stand bag as well.
