  1. When I was working off a pager and texts if I ever felt overwhelmed I would go to the local PGASS just to be ignored. The have a lot of equipment, but have the same cold personality of their Home Depot count part.
  2. I'd be afraid the viewing rates would go up every hole.
  3. It is sad to see the Bears and Cardinals with the records they have. The sad thing about the Panthers, as an NFC South rival, is that they won a game. I'd like the Panthers better at 0-8. It's a bitter disappointment to see the Falcons at 4-5. And watching the games I amazed they have won that many.
  4. My wife goes to a monthly auction at the local fairgrounds and sends me pictures of golf stuff if there is any. This past Saturday she sent me pictures of three bags of clubs and one bag had a putter in it. Since I’m on a never-ending search for a putter that works, I asked her to buy the putter if it was less than $30. Some guy bought the bag of clubs, putter, and all, because he wanted the UGA Bulldawgs bag. Who wouldn’t want one of those? She asked the guy if he wanted to sell the putter and the guy told her she could have it. The putter is a Cure RX1, and it is an oddity. It’s a basic blade shape and conventional putter to this thing is like a paring knife to a cutlass. Hitting a ball it makes a muted sound like a baseball hit with an aluminum bat, like a bunt maybe. I played a round Monday, and I liked it, but didn’t like the angle and changed it Monday night, which is very easy to do. I played with it again Tuesday and did better and it felt better. I’m going to keep it in the bag for a while and if I don’t like it I’m not out anything and I’ll continue looking for a putter that works.

    World Series

I wanted to see the Braves win it, but they couldn't get out of the first round of the playoffs. So, now I'm rooting for the snakes.
  6. I have a brother in Michigan that collects golf balls when he plays. He takes them home, cleans, grades and, sorts by brand. He gave me these and he had four more baskets.
  7. I typed a number of responses to this yesterday and deleted them and walked away from the laptop. However, as a boomer, I’ll say this: my wife (now ex) and I paid for the daughter’s tuition. It was a struggle but we did it. I’ll happily help with my grandkids. I don’t believe I need to pay for anyone else’s college tuition. And I don’t believe that is in any way selfish.
  8. Well, to quote Roseanne Roseannadanna "nevermind."
  9. So does GA and my drivers license is free of charge.
  10. PXG offers military discounts on equipment and apparel.
  11. I read it, but it had no influence on the ball I use. I really like the MaxFli TriFli and I'm sticking with it.
  12. I also have been a USAA member for quite some time and my daughter has also been a member as a child of a veteran. I know veterans that aren't members, so maybe the ad is geared toward them. I don't have an issue with the prime time ads. I do have an issue with USAA spending money on a "star." And does Gronkowski have any association with the US Military?
  13. I have a Model 3 and I love it. I had a Y once as a loaner and I thought it was too much like an SUV and I didn't like the way it handled. It did have a dual motor and was much faster than my standard 3. The update is interesting, but I'm staying with what I have for now.
  14. You're welcome. Yes, I would recommend them. I originally bought them for hiking and they work well for golf. The other brand I wear is Jockey and they work well also.
  15. Exofficios are nice and light and work well. I picked mine up at REI.
  16. My dad didn't have sweat glands and I think I got his and mine both because I sweat a lot. I wear sweat wicking shirts and for underwear I wear ExOfficio and Jockey and both brands seem to work well.
  17. I have one of those that's 4-5 years old, it still works great. My son-in-law and daughter who live close by use it on occasion. I think I'm going to have to replace the battery soon, but given the mower's age that isn't unexpected.
  18. I picked up a couple of dozen of the TriFli in green and played them the last few rounds. I really like feel and the performance. I was playing Kirklands, but I'm going to play the TriFlis for a while, maybe a long while.
  19. The surgery worked very well. In hindsight I wish I would have had the left toe fused. It bothers me on occasion, although not enough to have it fused at this point. I have zero issues with my right toe fusion.
  20. I had a similar issue. I had no cartilage left and was bone on bone. I wore Hokas with rocker soles and Hoka boots when hiking. The shoes\boots didn't help much with the pain, but did help with walking and hiking. I wasn't playing much golf at the time. F.Y.I. I ended up having my right big toe fused and I had an artificial joint installed in the left big toe.No more pain and no other issues.
  21. I was fitted for a set of these, and they were delivered yesterday. I already had plans for a quick nine with the grandson, so I unboxed the clubs, picked him up and went to the course. The clubs are clunky looking to a degree, but I don’t care and neither does the ball or the cup. These work great for me. I get the ball in the air, and I’ve gone down two clubs from what I was using. I plan on a full course test Monday and I can’t imagine I’m going to be anything but happy.
  22. TaylorMade Stealth driver, 7W, Stealth HD irons, and raw milled sand and lob wedges.
