jtowns43 got a reaction from Nick_D in TaylorMade Customer Service Contact
No, but I had the M6, Sim 2, and Stealth 2 and they all cracked in the exact same spot on the face. I was told that they are aware of their issue but it is cheaper to send out a new replacement.  I decided that I will never buy a taylormade club again (except the taylormade sim 2 Ti 3 wood as it is my fav club ever made).  It just seems to be an ongoing issue and the hassle is not worth it for me.  I went to the Paradym and couldn't be happier.

How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? Started playing when I was a kid and stopped due to injuries. Recently picked back up around covid. Handicap is 14.
What do you love about golf? Being outside, competitiveness, always room to improve, social.
What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? Have been on for awhile and love the content
Where are you from? What is your home course? Madison, WI area.  Do not have a "home" course. Play all over
What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Great golf courses but shortened golf season.
What do you do for a living? Sales
How’d you pick your user name? Off my name

I have a question regarding this model.  I played with someone new over the weekend that has this club and said he was told my a club pro that if you move the sliding weight all the way to the "fade" setting, that it increased the speed.  I did not get how this could be or what the logic may be behind it.  My worst miss is a high slice, but tried it out mid round.  I did not notice much of a difference, but did hit a few pretty good ones.  Any thoughts?

Snap a pic or two of the iron heads and post here - there should be enough visual difference between the 2017/2019/2021 heads that the sleuths around these parts can tell you what's what 🙂
As for shafts, I'd highly recommend going to a store that has the Mizuno Shaft Optimizer - it's a SUPER handy tool that will point you in the right direction for shafts - it may not get it exactly right, but it should point you towards shafts that have a feel that you're looking for.  Often, finding the right weight/flex is the only thing that matters, and you won't need to worry as much about "premium" - that can be pretty misleading.  More expensive definitely doesn't mean better in a LOT of cases.

What did you go to?  I like the feel of them more but am worried about the same thing.

Has anyone tried out the Tour Wrap 2G Golf Pride grips?  How slick do they actually get in the rain or if hands get a little sweaty?  I have the all black Taylormade p790's and like the look and feel but am worried if they will get too slippery.

Those are my go to grips for irons, have always played them and absolutely love them. I’m a heavy sweater and have had no issues, I think they provide really nice tackiness. I currently have the black ones on my irons but had the white previously and those are far and away my favorite

Still don't get how they can't keep this for one week on the schedule.  It is unlike anything else they do and I think the course has a bunch of very unique holes that make it a perfect fit for matchplay.  There are so many golf tournaments in a year and all are individual stroke play.  I think it is a nice change of pace and not too much to ask for to keep one event as the matchplay tournament.

I think it is more "relatable" when you have access to all of the same equipment as the pros.  I also think they have way bigger things that they should be spending their time on than rolling back the ball.  Not being able to move your ball out of a divot or ballmark from the middle of the fairway seems like one of the worst rules in sports.  Basketball hasn't raised the hoops as players have gotten taller and more athletic.  Just make the rough taller and thicker, the greens faster, and have more trees in areas to prohibit them from taking the corners.  There are plenty of other things that should be tried first IMO
