    Hello all!
I wanted to start this to just talk about putters. This seemed like the perfect place. I myself have gad probably 15 over the last 5 years. I find myself being a putter snob. I really enjoy old generation Scottys before they added removable weights. Those have the best feel to me and they are milled from one solid piece. Old Studio Designs were the best. I'm not into collecting I like to game everything. I am currently gaming a 2019 Copper Spider X. It was one of those putters I always liked the feel but never bought one situations. It took me a while to find one not chipped and scratched up but it is working out well for me.

How long have you been playing golf? I've been playing on and off for 24 years. I started when I was 10 and have always enjoyed it.
What’s your handicap or normal score? These days I shoot between 80 and 87. I'm a 13 right now. I'm really trying to work on my short game as that is where I lose my most strokes.

What do you love about golf? I love the excitement you get when you go out and your on the first tee. The course is peaceful yet exhilarating. I think like many others there will be that one shot or one hole that brings you back wanting more.

What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? I always read the articles on my phone and thought I should become a member to be able to post and share my experiences.

Where are you from? What is your home course? I live in southern California. I do not have a home course. There are alot of courses around and I enjoy playing them all, well when they are well kept.

What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Best thing about gold is I can play year round. The worst part is in the summer the heat can be brutal and the ground gets dried out. This makes for hard and fast fairways and greens.

How’d you pick your user name? I remember when Ricky was getting announced on the first tee and they called him Ricky Flowers and I always thought that was funny. I still call him Ricky Flowers to this day. He is also one of my favorite golfers in the PGA.

I see alot of people saying the LAB DF 2.1. I really think that's a ugly putter but hearing how much it has helped you all I may give it a shot and see. I would love to see a couple strokes gained if a ugly putter does that I'm all for it.

I would recon that the only issues would come up with those who were not properly fit.
It seems to be a very well balanced driver and one that a lot of ppl get on well with.

I like the vice pro balls. I love the look of the drip but generally am not a fan of the logo design. The balls feel great the cover just gets scratched up too easily.

My backyard shed is full of putters I've tried, liked and then abandoned me!  Everything from mainstream (Oddysey two ball...a couple of them actually) to somewhat obscure (a first-generation Brainstorm mallet Happy Putter).  I have to say, my favorite is my current gamer:  LAB Directed Force 2.1!  My putting improved dramatically (almost two strokes gained per round) and I'm more confident when I get on the greens.   I liked it so much I actually bought a backup on eBay just in case something happened to the one in my bag!

This is awesome. I absolutely love trying new clubs and comparing all the options on the market. I could hit balls for hours if I had the time

I especially like to hit clubs that I normally wouldn’t consider buying, just to see if I’m missing anything. I could spend hours hitting various clubs, chasing a specific distance or shot shape. Sometimes I hit them, not knowing exactly what I want to see out of them, only that I’ll know it when I see it. 😁

I love doing this as well.   Fortunately,  I live near the MGS headquarters so I became one of their most wanted testers and get to hit a large variety of clubs; even some that aren't readily available in golf stores.

I look at them as another way to show off some personality in your bag as well. As you mention there are so many aftermarket putter covers nowadays, I current am waiting for this one from North Coast Golf to come back in stock.

I’ve noticed that a lot of other players will pull all of their covers off as soon as the bag is strapped to the cart. Then I can hear them banging against each other all the way down the fairway. To each their own really, not my thing.
I’m also a fan of headcovers and have a few for the putters that I currently have.
    Cool thread started about headcovers.

I agree, when looking at putters it is amazing how beat up they are.    While there are a lot of covers,  I haven't found one that I really like so I typically just use the OEM cover.   Unfortunately prices on putter covers; like the Cameron covers, are way too expensive since people collect them.

This is one of my favorite topics as I go through wedges like their is no tomorrow. I see you are in Arkansas. One thing that you have is used golf club shops. Sometimes even a driving range that carries used clubs. You could probably get yourself a set of Vokeys for under 100 per club. FB marketplace can be helpful to looking by searching for the specific degree clubs. The 48 is going to be the most difficult to find. They do not make alot of those. You can always have a 50 degree bent strong by a degree sometimes two. I also enjoy using rockbottomgolf.com for items I cannot find locally. Outside of that the Facebook page golf clubs and traders allows you to post a wtb add and there's always plenty of people willing to sell clubs just verify they are a known good seller.
