Jeffers got a reaction from VernL4 in Garmin watch or Rangefinder?
On Black Friday last year, I bought a Garmin S12 watch for $129 and a Nikon 50I rangefinder for $199. I use the watch for quick checks and pull out the Nikon when elevation is in play. I enjoy the easily used technology of both.

Jeffers got a reaction from GolfSpy_KFT in Great Courses in Wisconsin You Haven't Heard Of
I played Bullseye a couple of weeks ago. Very nice course with a great layout. No two holes are the same, fairly wide fairways. The carts have gps. I live five minutes from here. Tri-city is a fun little course just across the road from Bullseye. Smallish elevated greens, very reasonably priced. I play this one a lot.

Jeffers got a reaction from cksurfdude in More runout, a fade or a draw
All things being equal, amount of spin, distance off center, etc. For a righty does a draw versus a fade roll farther? Does a fade have backwards spin versus a draw having forward spin or do they both have forward spin? My best drives have a slight fade and I rarely hit a draw.

Jeffers got a reaction from JackieMoon_LMS in Having first kid. How to keep my golf game going?
My kids are 36 and 34. So I basically took 25 years off from golf. Lack of totally free time, lack of money, and generally no interest as being involved in the kids lives was much more rewarding. If I could go back I'd do the same. Life is great now, kids are married with their own kids. Me and the wife hit the course today, I'm going with friends tomorrow. Granddaughter is visiting tomorrow for five days. Did I mention that life is great?

Jeffers got a reaction from BLD7 in Midwest: MN, WI, MI, IL, IN, OH, WV
Greetings to all!
I joined today. I live in Central Wisconsin about ten miles from Sand Valley.
I've been a golfer on and off (mainly off) for roughly 50 years. I get out with either my wife or a group of about eight old high school buddies when possible. I shoot around ninety for eighteen.
My bag is Mizuno, driver, fairways, and irons are Sim Max 2. I have a 100 yard area behind my house that I've cleared off and have run sprinklers to. My own little par three.
Cheers, Jeff

@Jeffers. Man, talk about 80% of the golfing world wanting to be your friend. Welcome to the forums. You're right, it is God's country. Spent a lot of time in the area trout fishing the "ditches" and streams as well as pan sized crappie from the Wisconsin River. Still amazes me that I found enough time to actually graduate from UWSP.
