  1. I completely agree with you. My comment is while you or I may not consciously think I need to hit up or down in the ball, the clubs are still swung differently. Also some golfers when learning or working on something may consciously say that very thing. I guess my problem with the comments(not specifically yours) are technically it isn’t a single swing. Saying it is can confuse those just getting into the game or trying to improve.
  2. Maybe I’m not following correctly but almost every club is swung slightly different. You may feel like it is the same but unless you are playing single length shafts, your stance, posture, and ball placement are ever so slightly different. You can not swing a driver or fairway the same as a 9 or PW. At least not from my view. As for the original point of the thread, yes you can possibly gain more distance by hitting up on the ball. Launch goes up and spin goes down. Results will always vary golfer to golfer.
  3. These are the old 2019 model but still a killer price. No clue on performance vs the new version though as I just started playing the Pro soft late last year.
  4. I’m super happy with my G430 lst but gotta be honest, the deeeep face of the Paradym has me slightly intrigued lol. Plus getting an 8* and the green dot -2* adapter to get to 5.5* is so enticing. Nope nope nope I’m happy gosh darn it. Get out of my head Paradym!
  5. Really cool videos. From all the reviews I have seen so far, it looks like Callaway may be driver of the year.
  6. Finally got the first night of winter sim league done. We played the back 9 at The Old Course. Opponents had a scheduling conflict on Monday. The G430 lst/BGT Brava X combo continues to shine. Drove the par 4 12th to 30 ft and made the eagle for a nice skin. They are wide fairways but I only missed one.
  7. I’ll add that I find fairway woods to be some of the most personal clubs you have. Right there with Putters. It took me forever to find some that I hit consistently.
  8. You will need to provide a few more details to get any answers. What don’t you like about the Smoke Yellow?
  9. Just another example of how every golfer is different. I’m absolutely loving my G430 LST. I posted this on WRX. It’s just so consistent. “Have a quite a few swings in with the Ping G430 lst 9* and the BGT Brava X shaft. This thing is amazing. I started with the flat -1* setting and weight nuetral Sunday night. Really good numbers with a solid 10-15 yard draw. Moves the weight to the fade setting and hit the ground before the ball 4 straight times. Completely changed the feel and timing for me. Went back to the neutral setting and right back to the draw and solid contact. Stopped after work to get some more swings and numbers with winter league starting. From the first swing I got the same numbers and flight as last night. Just so consistent. Wanted to try the fade setting again to see if I could lessen the draw. First swing, bam hit the ground. Decided to go to the big minus(-1.5*) instead of flat -1*. Perfect. Ball speed up 1-2 mph, launch stayed the same but ball flight was now a 5-10 yard draw. Exactly what I’m looking for. This combo is as long(not longer) as anything I have ever hit but definitely more consistent with spin and distance. The feel of the face with the Brava shaft is intoxicating. I just wanted to keep hitting it. “
  10. I assume you were asking me lol. I need more time with the irons to know for sure. They feel amazing when hit out of the center but not so much when mishit. The g430 lst and Brava X shaft is performing outstanding. I will hit/try the other drivers if available but won’t go out of my way to do so. The others would have to be really good to get me to switch. Looks and feel are top notch and performance is right there with anything I have ever hit. My only nitpick would be the face being shallower than I’m use to but so far that has been a non issue.
  11. Pic time! Ping G430 9* lst with the BGT Brava X shaft Ping I59 4-PW with Project X LZ 5.0 shafts hardstepped once plus a nice little addition Ping Rapture 2 Iron
  12. Maiden voyage was very good. The BGT Brava X driver shaft was paired with the Ping g430 lst. The waggle feel is very similar to the Autoflex. Everyone knows that feeling when you give the new driver/shaft combo a little waggle and you see the shaft flex back and forth. First thought was how am I gonna keep this from going left on me, however after the first swing that thought was gone. Yes I still turned it over easily but no where near hooking it. There is what feels like considerable flex in the shaft until the downswing. It’s has a perfect for me kick while actually feeling really stable. I did hit one high toe and there was no twisting of the head or snap hooking. It’s strange as I have never felt anything like it. One thing I did notice was when I moved the weight towards the toe. It created considerable toe droop that changed the feel and caused me to hit the ground before the ball. After 3 swings of the same thing I moved the weight back to center and all was right with the world. Distance was hard to judge but the numbers were close to what I see on the course. I plan on getting some actual numbers tomorrow after work before my first official league matchup. Now the biggest surprise was spin and launch from this combo. I was consistently in the 12* launch and 2300-2500 range. Heck Yeah! I don’t have numbers yet from a competitor shaft as the only other shaft I hit(yesterday) was an Autoflex 505(20* launch, 3000-3300 spin). Not the 505xx which would be closer in fit. Overall I’m very excited about this combo moving forward. I didn’t expect massive swing speed gains because I already played a 50g class shaft and ain’t getting any younger lol. But if I can get this feel with a slight uptick in fairways hit while living in the 265-285 yard range, sign me up!
  13. This should be good. I’m gonna hit their Brava driver shaft in a couple hours.
  14. Maybe I’m just in a grouchy mood but I really fail to see the point in clicking on a thread about new equipment just to complain about price, marketing, or the inevitable last years is just as good and cheaper comments. Glass is half empty I guess As far as the Paradym goes, I will hit it if given the chance and could own one as well cuz that’s what I do lol. If it looks closer to black at address than blue even better. Callaway is one of the last OEMs still offering a deep faced driver with the Beat me to it
  15. Boy that would be the life I know the wife eventually wants to move south but that’s still a good 5-10 years off. I’m actually hoping that with him carrying all the oems I can stop hoin’ by trying them all before buying
  16. I had actually planned on demoing the Brava shaft first but with his offer I figured why not. I change shafts as often as I do clubs and that’s the only reason I have yet to invest in the all-fit adapter system. Something I may have to change now that I have a local guy that is doing everything he can to carry all brands. He is super high on the Edel SMS irons and trying to push me there. Not sure I want to spend 2K on a set of irons though. He is also the only guy within 100 miles of me that carries some Evnroll putters so he may just get some more coin out of me next month.
  17. Well it didn’t happen how I planned. My epoxy is bad and the new hasn’t arrived yet so I took the clubs to my local guy to have them for tomorrow’s start to the winter sim league. Forgot to take pics before but will get some tomorrow when I pick them up. I left my PXG Gen5 0311 driver head with him to see if any of his connections may want to buy it. He texted me a bit ago asking if I’d include the Accra RPG shaft with it and what I wanted. I mentioned if I got enough to take the sting out of the Brava X price I’d be happy. Long story short it’s a straight up trade for the new BGT Brava X shaft with a Ping g430 adapter. Hoping it’s better than the Autoflexx 505xx for me as I hit it today while waiting for him to have a minute and couldn’t keep the thing in the planet. Everything super high and left with tons of spin. Club speed was up 2-3mph and ball speed was up 4-5mph but direction, spin, and distance were worse. If I slowed myself way down, I could get the spin down and distance back but still went left.
  18. I don’t personally care about tour pros clubs. My question was strictly just about retail as I’m not big on releasing other surprise variants months down the line.
  19. Well of course. The Paradym X is definitely for me. The triple Diamond is probably closer to what I’d like but I’m an alignment logo guy haha
  20. Will there be other models released to retail or is it just the 3?
  21. Congrats to those selected for testing. I can say without a doubt, that as a guy that never used a rangefinder before testing the Voice Caddie SL2 a couple years ago, it helps tremendously on new courses and wayward drives lol Cant wait to hear your thoughts.
  22. Are there new models coming from Sik? Haven’t even heard any rumors.
  23. can’t wait to hear your thoughts. I have a G430 lst coming Saturday but this was the other driver that I really wanted. I just haven’t been able to find one yet other than from Japan.
  24. I’m guessing you could get increase/decrease the toe hang slightly by making the tie lighter/heavier. Not go from toe hang to face balance but maybe add/subtract a few degrees if needed. Big fan of the in-line slant vs the normal slant neck.
