  1. Useless may have been the wrong word but the premise still stands. Take your example. Unless you measure the heads you are looking at as well as his old one, tolerances can make your starting point less than ideal. OEMs already give you a guestimate on where the cog is with descriptions of the club. Low spin=forward, high launch=lower, and higher moi=back. That will get you a similar starting point if your not going to measure or hit every head. With OEM tolerances and the ability to manipulate the cog and moi with moveable weights and hotmelt, having the cog and moi of ONE head isn't all that important imo.
  2. Also for those with James Robinson, he isn’t playing this week so get him out of your lineups.
  3. Mike Evans says otherwise. Lol. Congrats on your Championship!
  4. The dots are bigger due to MGS tolerances in measuring. They are not for Manufacturer tolerances. Also if you take the 2019 test and click on the Cobra F9 for example. It shows 2 dots, one for heavy front and one for heavy back. That is great. However keep in mind there are oem tolerances as well as lofts differences that will make those dots different. Also remember your 9* head could be anywhere from 7-11* and the lie could also be different. To the others disappointed with no test MGS can't possibly test every club in every loft from every oem and even if they could there are Manufacturer tolerances that come into play. If COG matters to you then have your FITTED head measured. With the ability to manipulate the cog with moveable weights and hotmelt, a standardized test doesn't make sense to ME there are just too many variables. To each their own though
  5. A great drive= 280-300 in the fairway A good drive= 280-300 just into the rough A bad drive= 280-300 in the trees(this happens more than the great drive lol) A shot that I would give my left *** for would be the ability to eliminate one side of the course. Been working on it and have made progress but that push, push/fade creeps back every now and then.
  6. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone. Hope everyone has a safe holiday season. I got my present this morning with the electricity finally coming back on after 18 hours without it. Only in Iowa do you go from 45* at 8am to a blizzard, below 0* temps, and no power by 2pm. Not fun!
  7. I’m in again. I much prefer having to choose who to play vs best ball but I’m good either way.
  8. @StrokerAce @STUDque A very well deserved rest from the everyday grind of running this place is due for sure. You guys have been rockstars in helping make this community what it is.
  9. Well I said I would never give up and I gave it my best run. From 2-16 to 12-16 my team will fall only a couple games from the playoffs. Took 9 weeks and a whole bunch of trading but my team finally woke up. Unfortunately it was just a week or 2 late. Good luck to all that make the playoffs. Go Stud Division!
  10. I just watched this video as well and they said it was on par with the tsi driver. I admittedly don't watch all their videos but I would think they would talk about the drop in BS if what you are saying is correct. Sent from my Moto Z3 Play using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  11. I’m just guessing but I bet you don’t see anything until things become somewhat normal again. The Most Wanted and Ball testing are far more popular IMO. The COG of drivers could be different from head to head due to tolerances and makes the test fairly useless tbh.
  12. It may be a little late but I’m looking at 4-0 the last 2 weeks. Too bad I started 0-11 or was it 13. I can’t remember lol
  13. Well you have my word that I will never surrender. Even when I have no chance!
  14. Before adding loft or changing shafts I suggest getting your numbers with the ball you play. Range balls are known to be lower spinning which could be the reason for the 1700-1800 spin numbers. I do agree with those above that the numbers are fairly close as far as swing speed to distance.
  15. Gonna agree with @Lacassem that your gonna get a groove going and connect. 244 in those conditions and more than likely longer.
  16. Lots of scouring the bay, golf forums, and the like while waiting on my wife's covid-19 results turned into a Brand Spanking New Titleist TSI3 8* driver head coming my way. The price was so good I had to do a double take. I think I'm gonna have to hit the simulator quite often this winter with new irons and driver in the bag. Maybe even a trip south to actually play a round. Edit: She is negative for those that may be wondering!
  17. My upmost respect and admiration to those that have served our great nation. You are true heroes and the backbone of our country. Happy Veterans Day!
  18. Did I just pick up another iron set? Yes I did. Finally found a set of 3-10 Honma TW-X irons that I have been admiring for some time now. They have modus 105s but I also picked up a set of the KBS $Taper lite .355t shafts I thought I was getting with the cobras. I will be picking up some Iomic 1.8’s to put on them. Tried them for the first time this year and won’t be playing anything else again. Now to find a tsi3!
