Depending on budget there are so many ways to go. To do a little bump on a recent community call we had Andy from Ghost Golf join us. Their bags are a premium price, however the time, effort and quality is without question there. Depending on what you are looking for these I feel should be top of your list.

Matching wedge shafts to lightweight graphite iron shafts
GolfSpy_APH replied to FSHRJMPN's topic in Golf Clubs
We just had a great call with Jacob Clarke. Lead designer for the new PING s159 wedges. We asked him about shafts and his thought was to match closely to your iron shafts in terms of weight. If you only use a wedge for full shots then go with your iron shaft. -

They are drop shipped from China do there could possibly be import charges. Altho none of our 3 Canadian testers from last year with Takomo got them. As for the product, it's a good, solid preforming product. Our reviewers really liked them and had good results!

Intro/WIYB

Good question - I use them as well as most other things i read online and see online as reference points. In the end I want to get them in my hands and use them. As with everything I think taking them with a grain of salt is important, however the technology has come a long way and I can confidently say that using the Mizuno swing analyzer a few years ago was absolutely spot on. Callaway also had a really good one. The technology is solid and as with most there are going to be those that don't fit it perfect, but I would assume that gets thrown into the algorithm and it continues to learn and improve.

I think I went with sleepers this week for the most part. Could be a fun event and should make for a good view! Who else does everyone else have?

Giving all of you a heads up for March 21! Stay tuned as we are looking to this group (and more) for some well needed help and support!

PING Wedges! And the Lead Designer of them is joining our Community Call! Truly thrilled to have PING back with us for member testing. They hold a special place with me as my first ever test selection (that I got to participate being in.... sucks being a lefty sometimes) was the PING i210 irons. Irons I played for years and years. Thank you PING for coming back and providing four awesome members with this incredible opportunity! Don't forget in order to be considered you must post a screenshot of your WebFit results! https://webfit.ping.com/

Hope everyone is ready for an epic release and announcement tomorrow!

Don't have one, but have played with a few guys that have them. Also they are all over my ads here! Bottom line the guys like them. I wasn't sold on the two wheels, but that is me. Good build quality and very functional. Definitely can tell it is a euro design given the space it takes up and with the size of vehicles here.

It is only relevant for the Majors and even those are making exceptions. Bottom line nothing is going to be perfect till the professional golfing world sorts itself out... if it ever does.

Great article Matt. Loved the depth you went to on it and clearly from the comments it has been a hit!

Do you tee up your irons from the tee box?
GolfSpy_APH replied to Just_the_Chip's topic in General Q&A
Out of pure laziness no. I normally just drop the ball, roll it to a spot I like and go. Same goes for my 3 wood as well. -
Nearly 1k signups! Great to see. Thank you everyone and stay tuned for Tuesday when we announce our selected testers!

Maybe? All depends on how much someone is going to work to improve their swing. Many will make some changes, but large wholesale changes are not as common. I get what they are saying, but it may depend on the level of depth for the fitting. A new golfer getting fit into clubs is still a good thing as they will be fit into clubs that have the proper length, lie and grips or even shaft stiffness. This will help them make the improvements vs compromising with clubs that do not suit their natural ability. If someone is planning on doing swing speed training and making those strides, then yes it is best they hold off or wait. I can look at my swing now vs 8 years ago when I got in and a lot of the core features of my swing are still there. Yes I have made significant improvements and strides, but this was mainly in compacting my swing and ensuring it did not get too long. The AOA, path and much of that has all stayed very similar. In fact I still have clubs that I used back then and they still work great for me. I am not taller or shorter, my posture is similar and getting fit (most recently by Titleist) help take my game to the next level. Get the proper gapping and more for clubs that I am more confident in.

I'm going to disagree that they are bad. Sure some will lean towards lessons, but I find it hard to say they are bad.
